    Brilliant bit of kit
    Have two of these now. Never missed a beat

    I’ve used these exclusively for several years (no van tank) - works great and good value for money.
    Remove the backpack straps and use on a sack truck.
    Dispense with the cap filter - just tip the bits out now and again.No need to cover controls with plastic,I’ve never had an issue with water ingress.
    I carry 2 or 3 in the van in case one stops working which happens from time to time.
    Buy spare pumps + batteries as these will die over time,also spare fuses.

    That backpack with a 35cm ultimate brush on a swivel with 4 1mm pencils on full flow is unbeatable in my opinion
    I am quicker with that than a van mount and can do an average 3 bed semi on half a backpack due to not needing to rinse much

    Got my Gardiner backpack in back of van attached to a hose reel with 100m of 8mm hose on. Great job. Take inside to charge overnight. Lasts more than enough hours for a days work. But getting a van system in next few weeks, tired of filling the backpack up

    Great video Chris. I dont know why they haven't built a top pump mount for standard 25ltr containers. I've never seen anyone wear a back pack and the straps are wasted

    Hi Laura, yes you cut off just a little bit of it then use a plastic step down connector so the narrower pipe will fit. Then you can use a John Guest connector. If you are not sure, contact them for advice.

    Had it for 2 years, holds charge like the first day. Battery lasts all week. Xline brush with rinse bar on a swivel on full flow.. game changer

    Great video as usual Chris, I've had a Gardiner BPack for over a year and it's great, I had to replace the lid (my fault) but no other issues, I've had sureflo and window cleaning warehouse's- this is by far the most reliable.

    Love my Gardiner backpack. Has added so much more profit to the day. Get home earlier and saves me going up a ladder!

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому +2

      Yes its pretty good. The only thing is that I can't see the water level as it get used up like in my Facelift one but you get used to it. I spent 20 years on ladders and never fell off but I really don't think I could use ladders now.

      Christopher Dawber agreed definitely don’t miss walking on wet moss covered tiles to do a small bathroom window! The backpack will usually do me one full per house. Or one and half it’s got a conservatory. I just top it up before going round the back or bring an already half used barrel with me. Not sure how lucky some guys are that can use a reel system but every one of my customers has zig zagged parks cars. Gates bins in the way garage roofs. Just so much easier to have a portable backpack than reeling that in every time

      @MyWagga  5 років тому +1

      @@chrisfarri8914 Too right! I tried the van system with the big reel and found it slow and awkward. It's fine on commercial stuff though but I haven't got any now.

    I want to start up next year and it’s a toss between one of these, or a trolley system. My question is, if I go for a back pack, how could I apply TFR etc to facias? Would it be a case of having 2 back packs, one for chemicals and one for pure water? With a trolley I could just change over barrels, one specifically for chemicals, and the rest for pure water.

  • @jamespf123
    @jamespf123 5 років тому

    Hi Chris, thanks for all videos. Teaching me a lot. I just finished watching all your videos on how to build your own trolley.
    As a newbie what do you think would be best for me? To purchase the gardiner back pack or make my own trolley? (Making it won’t be a problem) .
    I will be going to spotless water pumps for the time being and filling up barrels of pure water instead of making my own (atm).
    Thanks,
    James

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому

      Hi James, I would go for the backpack. It's the most easy option and will be easy to set up.

    Great tool but why the controls at the bottom. They should be at the top.

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  3 роки тому

      Yes I agree with that one. Thing is, these were not designed for window cleaning but for spraying weed killer etc and they would be worn on your back.

    Hi Chris finally brought the Gardiner back pack system could do with some idea of pricing, other window cleaners around north Wales where I live charge £8-£9 for a 3 bed semi. Looking on UA-cam some are charging £12 for bungalows and £15 for 3 bed semi £20 with conservatory. Can I ask what you think many thanks Russell

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому

      Those prices are ok but the trouble with the higher price is that they will be spaced out over a large area rather than a compact round and will also be subject to the competition.

    Hi there, been looking at w.cleaning warehouse deals on backpacks. we are prepared to spend money but a starter pack then the water purification (inc refurbed DI Vessel) and other bits all getting very expensive. will look at the price of this one. need to ask this- do you have to cut the pipe from the actual backpack (because they have a spray system for a garden?) Then did you refer to John Guest connectors in another vid? just need to know exactly what we need.

    Just got a new valve through the post and it now leaks both sides. The backpack was charged but the Ez connection wasn't on properly hence it was stopping after a second or two. Thought that problem was sorted but now its happening again. Brand new and I've had nothing but trouble with it 😡

      Sorry to hear that. If you are good at fixing things then its not daunting at all even if it's irritating. Should not need fixing in the first place of course.

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому +1

      You can generally do two houses with one backpack as long as its not too big or a first clean. What I do is clean the tops only with backpack and the bottoms trad.

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  3 роки тому +1

      If you have a green light on the charger then its chatged. Is the backpack battery flat now? Check the fuse. As for the connection that leaks, get some plumbers tape and redo it. This stuff is made in China so expect a lot of DIY.. Quality control is lacking.

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому

      I don't understand what you mean to be honest but I generally don't use the controller at all as I always have it on full power all the time. This way, I have a healthy flow. Most backpacks are only just adequate on full anyway. You need a really good flow.

  • @peterhodge570

    Hi wagga me again, is it possible that because the hose barb is loose when connecting with the on off valve the gardiner backpack will cut out?

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  3 роки тому

      If there are any leaks, it will trigger the backpack to run rather than cut out. It will sense the drop in pressure and start up the pump usually briefly unless the leak is a big one.

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  3 роки тому

      Peter, make sure that Univalve is not wrong way round.

    • @peterhodge570
      @peterhodge570 3 роки тому

      So it must be the backpack if it cuts out. The red plastic barbs don't seem to fit well onto the on off valve.
