Moore, Pridgen, Lombardo and now Nekrutman, anyone could easily make the argument that ST has had more world class drummers than any other band in the world.
It's not too often that a drummer can go from pure rooted jazz to heavy hitting rock and not have it be noticeable, or vise versa. He really does transition seamlessly, grips and all.
Being 61 yo Drummer from Detroit, i've seen ST 5x as Openers & Headliners. and Run into Cyco Miko in the Lobby or Parking lot of the Venue often. Seeing You in the Band is the Craziest Music combo ive Seen. And you pull it off Like a seasoned Vet. You're Amazing Young Man. I salute you with Heavy Metal Horns.
Amazing drummer! I can clearly see the highest levels of technical hits here! He definitely knows how to hit hard and fast so he doesn’t have any herniated disks or arthritis in the future! Rock on man! 🤘🏾
That was cool to see him play in a different genre. If you guys like that you should check out Dave Lombardo doing a sit with Suicidal Tendencies it's awesome
Wow what a diverse set of drumming skills. To switch seamlessly between jazz and punk rock. Reminds me of so many of the 70’s greats such as Mitch Mitchell, Ian Paice, Aynsley Dunbar they all came from a jazz background.
Lot of modern metal drummers come from jazz backrounds, Kai Hahto is the first that comes to mind. Seems like some jazz drummers ascend to metal eventually :>
Would've been killer to see you play this with traditional grip! 😊 Kidding aside, I was so use to watching your awesome jazz playing that I had no idea you were playing with ST. Amazing job!
@@mhilton19 out front? You know drummers get their own in most rooms… much less a giant show? You’d have to have in ears because the sound would be impossible for a drummer. Dude, really? 🤣
First!!!! Sounds great, big difference from first post with the band. Your gelling and making the songs yours with your style infused. F#cking killin it brotha!!!! Hey, what snare and size are you using. Sounds like a gunshot. I love it!!! Keep it up and have fun!!!
I don’t know how this meeting of minds came to be, but dang if I’m not loving it with all my heart and mind and ears. I don’t think I can enjoy this more.
So cool Mr. Jazz! I LOVE that you are playing for a hardcore band. As you well know you can find a zillion people who say "punks can't play their instruments" and it's always been a lie. Thanks for being a PUNK!!!
I actually thought this was a a joke and some special effects . It’s amazing . So cool that they brought in this beast of a young drummer . Do wonder what they talk about after the show .
that take some athleticism! anybody know what he's using for a ride cymbal? I'm amazed the thing can take all that, and also have a bell that cuts through
The naysayers here need to keep in mind, he’s multitudes more successful than you. Diversity isn’t a bad thing. Lack thereof is nothing but ignorance! I respect him even more knowing he’s diverse then just regurgitating old buddy rich licks. Don’t get me wrong, they’re amazing, but anyone can become a one trick pony. It takes true talent to diversify your craft to such extreme ends of the spectrum. Don’t hate just cause you’re not as smart or skilled as him.
Dude that's just f****** crazy I just saw him for the first time on El Estepario play the Whiplash drum seen synced up to the f****** movie which was insane Paradise playing with one of my all-time favorite bands from back in the day. F****** ripping it up. Get that man a Pepsi. RLTW 3/75
Greyson, you need to get you a headband so the sweat doesn't bother you so much. They make them with very thin fabric these days, very comfortable and easy to wear and they work great. Use the ones made for tennis players.
Moore, Pridgen, Lombardo and now Nekrutman, anyone could easily make the argument that ST has had more world class drummers than any other band in the world.
I just loved the fact greyson is playing in a hardcore band. This fucking slaps long live suicidal tendencies!
pienso igual que tu, pero para mi fue Eric Moore
Absolutely .. now waiting for "Accept my sacrifice"
It's not too often that a drummer can go from pure rooted jazz to heavy hitting rock and not have it be noticeable, or vise versa. He really does transition seamlessly, grips and all.
that kind of music is so easy to play.....you wont notice
Jay Weinberg……
Didn't Thundercat used to play bass for Suicidal Tendencies?
@@NonEuclideanTacoCannon Yes. So did his brother, Ronald Bruner, Jr. He's well known as a jazz drummer...
@@sebg2086😂😂😂
He's killing it as a jazz drummer and he's killing it as a hardcore drummer! Insane drumming skills!
Every great drummer from the past wrapped up into one guy, from Buddy to Vinnie, Joey to Neal and Taylor. Damn I am so impressed and jealous. Hahaha.

Dude can play Buddy Rich all the way across the spectrum to Suicidal Tendencies. Impressive as hell.
Greyson is straight killing it. Dude is amazing.
Gotta love him this is awesome haha
One of the greatest, most well rounded drummers I've ever heard
I've had the pleasure to enjoy a lot of amazing ST drummers, and Greyson just brought it to another level. I'm stunned.
Amazing drummer! I can clearly see the highest levels of technical hits here! He definitely knows how to hit hard and fast so he doesn’t have any herniated disks or arthritis in the future! Rock on man! 🤘🏾
Mike and the band are lucky to have you- outstanding as usual...

That snare. I'd feel bad if it didn't sound so good. Surprised no sticks were broken by that rimming.

great to see these kids play songs that were written way before they were born ...
Half the video without the microphone on the top of the snare drum ^^, I wonder what the audience felt. Amazing performance as always, though.
Watching to see if he fits Sepultura
that top snare mic got scared of your power..

I preferred Dave's as well, this is still cool.
