I resisted watching this for so long because A) I wasn't watching Bon Appetit videos anymore after the kerfluffle and B) he's just a baby! But I finally clicked and wow. He's great. So knowledgeable and natural on camera. I have regrets now.
He’s a breath of fresh air! A star! BUT tell him to have a few taste spoons on hand and not to stick the spoon he just tasted the artichoke dip with back in the dip 😂 ❤
I made this for Thanksgiving because we had a few visitors that were vegetarian and it was a hit with EVERYONE, even the beet haters. I’m making another batch today to have on hand for snacking. Love it! Note: What takes the most time is roasting the beets the day before. I roasted more than I needed for this so I’d have them on hand for a repeat. Yum!
This is the best segment I've seen in awhile. These dips look and sound delicious. I appreciate the use and mixture of herbs. I've experienced with herb combinations for dishes and found a combo of parsley, dill, and mint can be fantastic as much as the combo of parsley, dill, and cilantro. Great job!
Pierce definitely needs to be part of the team. He brings so many tips and great recipes. I’ve been watching BonAppetit for a while now and I consider this a 10/10 video. Miss brad tho, bring him back!
This is an absolute masterclass in flavor, texture, and awesome ingredients. I’m so excited to try all of these (or some variation with whatever I have around). Thanks, Pierce!
I love dips! It's hard to find new recipes because people tend to make the same ones and they're always very fatty These dips are all new to me, I can't wait to try them!
Ive found significant differences between brands of marinated artichokes. I make a crab salad & the marinade goes into the dressing. When I first made it, I used Cara Mia brand. But my stores no longer offer it. So I open the jars the night before & add more herbs & garlic to the other brands.
I love that this video led to one of the most iconic tiktoks of all time (Troye Sivan thirst DMing his crush and then ending up as the 3rd wheel on a date in a foreign country).
Had to cringe at 4:43. Chris Morocco LITERALLY keeps multiple spoons on him for taste testing to avoid cross contamination. That said. Always nice to see new faces on BA & DEFINITELY going to try a few of these dips! 😊
These are interesting dips. I was put off that for the Chardachoke dip you tasted with a spoon, then put the spoon back into your dip, and used it to spoon the dip into the bowl. As a culinary student many years ago, we NEVER used the same utensils, we used a new one for every taste.
Just love your joie de vivre and your passion for the subject matter. You are infectious, convincing me of the deliciousness of the dips you demonstrated. Don’t ever let life destroy you! 🍂🍃🌈
I love when kids go to the kitchen! There is particular taste we all get when north americans use world products as if they had them in the backyards. Specially when they say it with their northamerican accents...loooovvvvee salsaaa verrrrrdeee....bagna cauda...bagna cauda. It does not matter. You can call it envy, little jeoulously...but you got hand to "america" to have all the world at their feet even though they have gonne through everyones pants. Seeing this recipe you can truly taste their "American way of life" of having everything at hand. Then they can talk alllll about the calabrian fish stok thing, the turkish radish, the mexican broccoli and the peruvian artichoke....soooo fresh , amazing! Ohhh world what a mirror to look at...don't get me wrong please, I still love your hamburgers.
I’m thinking 🤔 parsley, sage or thyme & chives/green onion for the broccoli salsa verde (no dill, no cilantro). Some of these look promising. Was thinking that crushed carmelized shallots and anchovies dip would be a great start to a homemade Caesar salad dressing 😋
Great video. I love the matter of fact presentation of such unique dips. I’m looking forward to trying them and yes, artichokes, anchovies, and pickled onions should be staples in your pantry.
quick dip ... all i need is to precook beets the night before, make pickled onions, and get $25 worth of produce. let me get out my mortar and pestle. oy vey!! get this kid some french onion dip!!!!!
What makes a quality anchovy? There are so many at the supermarket and I always get overwhelmed. Anyways, these dips all look delicious! And I also agree with all the other comments, Pierce was awesome and I’d love to see more of him on the channel
These look phenomenal and I will be making them. Also, what a delightful cutie pie - please bring Pierce back (even though his name is very Kennedy compound Hyannisport) LOL.
Thank you so very much! I am looking forward to making all of these dips this weekend for my friends and I on Sunday Funday!! I appreciate all of your time and energy that you have shared with all of us. Please take care and stay well. Namaste'
Thank you tame Impala for the perfect appetizers to surprise my guests with
I mean that sincerely, my appetizer game has been lost in yesterday to say the least
@@garrettlee2301 hahahaha, I love this one, lmao

What a refreshing energy brought by Pierce! No overused jargon word salads, just a lovely vibe while being super informative. Love it!
Pierce is a natural! Love his energy and his social media is very enjoyable!
more Pierce please!! He's the best!!
Loved the energy pierce brought! More pierce!
Finally, a chef who appreciates vegetables and doesn’t just rely on meat as the star. Much healthier and shows better cooking skills and knowledge
wow, what a breath of fresh air. he's extremely talented and great on camera. and his food looks amazing
Love the move towards plant based dishes that don’t skimp on flavor
Love the incorporation of the broccoli stems and swiss chard stems for minimal food waste!! ❤
I resisted watching this for so long because A) I wasn't watching Bon Appetit videos anymore after the kerfluffle and B) he's just a baby! But I finally clicked and wow. He's great. So knowledgeable and natural on camera. I have regrets now.
I have zero regrets for boycotting BA for a while. They screwed up and deserved that the audience had their word. Money and clicks talk.
Love Pierce. He seems really into his craft. Refreshing energy. Plus he's cute haha
This guy is brilliant, I loved him in Hanson!
He puts the MMMMM in “MM BOP.”
Girl I just laughed aloud and spewed the water I was drinking…. Thank you for that, I needed that.
I've followed Pierce for a long time! always great content over on his Instagram. Glad to see him as part of BA!!!
He have a channel?
More Pierce!! Loved his personality!
A new BA star!!! So very entertaining!
Pierce is a memorizing chef to watch! Love his enthusiasm for flavors
He’s a breath of fresh air! A star! BUT tell him to have a few taste spoons on hand and not to stick the spoon he just tasted the artichoke dip with back in the dip 😂 ❤
A few years ago a TV chef named Tim Heidecker made a multi-part special on dips that is wildly informative. Usually mustard based
Love the vibes, love the dips, more Pierce anytime
He’s so chill and calm, he’s going to be amazing.
STOP! He’s made it to BA?! I love this guy😊
Where did he use to appear?
@@lennythai5584 i have seen him on Food52

Aw. Another wonderful and new culinary face in the BA test kitchen. Thank you for the dips video Pierce! Keep being sweet and quick to pick things up!
these dips are so innovative and colorful and beautiful! worlds healthier and fresher than your average dip. and loving Pierce, great energy.
I’m pretty sure Troye Sivan made a tiktok about how he has a crush on this guy
don't we all
@@GriffinixWEla who is WE? lol
That whole bean and cashew situation looks amazing!!!!!
More Pierce please! I could listen to him all day
Who is this dreamboat?!?!! Need more Pierce STAT!
this guy is an absolute natural teacher, I adore him!
This dude will bring me back to BA. Laid back with amazing recipes.
Looks amazing, but wait did he just put his tasting spoon into the food processor with the Swiss chard dip? I'd edit that out.
This is the best segment I've seen in awhile. These dips look and sound delicious. I appreciate the use and mixture of herbs. So cool, vegetable dishes that are not boring!!
more PIERCEEEE!!!! love how into dips he is and the recipes are great!!
he might be the reason why i would go back to watching Bon Appetit videos again hahahhaah
What a delight to see a young chef like this. His vide is so relatable
Loveedddd this video! So easy, approachable, and unique dips.

I like this new host/chef! First one I've watched in its entirety in awhile.

I'm officially impressed with his knowledge and enjoy his style of presentation.
I love that this video led to one of the most iconic tiktoks of all time (Troye Sivan thirst DMing his crush and then ending up as the 3rd wheel on a date in a foreign country).
So different, and it's about time. I really like all the unusual ingredients. I can hardly wait to try them, thanks.
love the dip recipes - let's get excited about dips ! i also loved his reactions at each bite. im convinced to make all of them now.
"let's get excited about dips!" is my favorite cheerful 'up-with-people' statement of late. thank you for your joy in simple things : )
Great dips! I have to try the Swiss chard dip. I have never used nutritional yeast but I think this is a great way for “virgin” to try it.
Had to cringe at 4:43. Chris Morocco LITERALLY keeps multiple spoons on him for taste testing to avoid cross contamination. That said. Always nice to see new faces on BA & DEFINITELY going to try a few of these dips! 😊
Came here to say the same.
Best video I've seen on this channel for a while!
The first time I'm as interested in the chef as much as the food.
Thanks for the tip on the proper technique for using a micro plane on citrus!
So different and delightfully unexpected dips, just wonderful!

The dip king!
The Duke of Dips!
I have a bit of a problem with spoon in the mouth and then back in the dip🤨🤦🏽♀️🤢 4:42
Swiss chard stalks with tahini, similar to how one makes eggplant moutabbal/baba ghanouj is very tasty as well.
Just love your joie de vivre and your passion for the subject matter. You are infectious, convincing me of the deliciousness of the dips you demonstrated. Don’t ever let life destroy you! 🍂🍃🌈
pierce abernathy is the real dish dayum

Chopped Beet Salsa is borderline salad
Pierce is one of my favs!
Definitely need more of this dude!
More Pierce! More Pierce!
More Pierce please 🤍
I like this guy. We need more of him.
Thank you so much for the dips. Definitely gonna make them also just to spread some on bread as lunch. Loved it!
I love how passionate you are about veggies! I am too ❤
Best episode with new chef.
The artichoke dip looks amazing.
That bread cutting technique is genius
Carvi is used in traditional Harissa but cumin is a solid substitute
More vegan stuff please the artichoke dip looks delicious
Being vegan is so unhealthy
Looks amazeeeee
I just made 4 out of 5 dips. They are all incredible! We are going to have a great party 🎉

I like his informal units for olive oil. Sometimes you need a "zhuzh", other times a "glug"

Thank you! So inspiring!
THIS is the collab I’ve been waiting on 🎉
VERY cool! These are some dips people won't see coming when I bring them to the games on Sunday. Thanks!
The lebne would be great with a fresh herb incorporated too
wtf he licked the spoon and put it back. love and hate at the same time!!! hahahahahaha

I tend to find that anchovies in jars are a better quality than the ones in a can. Not a hard and fast rule but a safe bet.
How healthy does this kid cook!? Love it ❤
Your favoriite food group! Love these dips.
Wow they all look so delicious 💕🩷😊
He’s beautiful and so are his dishes ☺️
love his vibe
What brand of harissa do you recommend that doesn't contain red bell pepper?
These look phenomenal and I will be making them. Also, what a delightful cutie pie - please bring Pierce back (even though his name is very Kennedy compound Hyannisport) LOL.
Carmelized shallot dip is everything! Thank you!
Great video - definitely want to try these! But doesn't he have to tie back his hair, or is this not a commercial kitchen? 😄
Ive never been this excited about dips. I think i will try them all.
Hurray Pierce! Exciting dips!
