I almost UNSUBSCRIBED when I heard no mention of “The Northman” then through further investigation I realized it wasn’t an A24 movie. You guys are still safe for now….. great list!!!
I honestly can't believe ive been watching A24 since they very first started with movies like Spring Breakers & Under The Skin & Tusk , i never knew it blew up so big as a film company till just recently a few years ago when Ari Aster & Robert Eggers started becoming famous & known to everyone by name & also I randomly saw both of their first films (The Witch & Hereditary) also when they first came out before they became known to most ppl !!!! Guess that makes me a OG fan , now I feel special 😂
My movie rec for the week is Shame. I is a fantastic film that tells the story of addiction but not the kind you are expecting. Michael Fassbender had a terrific performance in this.
Man, I need to expand my world cuz I literally cannot figure out what you mean by DP. I’ll google it after I leave this comment but I’ve been sitting here for over a minute trying to think of anything other than Double Penetration. Bone twisting indeed.
I remember when I first saw Locke I was blown away I told everyone one in college about it but they looked all puzzled and was like wtf are you talking about.
Good list but never got the hype around moonlight…I know this videos a bit old but talk to me and Beau is afraid would be high on this list for me as well
Toni Collette especially but honesty HEREDITARY IN GENERAL not getting any award season recognition for her role in Hereditary is one of the worst horror snubs in a long time!!
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ Yes! That did occur to me as I wrote my question. Thanks for your quick reply. Can you tell me where you would place Past Lives in your top A24 movies now? 🤔
First Reformed at 46 below movies like X and Pearl is like when Rolling Stones said Black Panther is the best comic book movie of all time. Absolutely stinky stuff boys, UNSUBSCRIBED
My favorite A25 films?: Sunlight, A Most Peaceful Year, The Blue Knight, Canadian Honey, Bad Time, The Wisconsin Project, Seventh Grade, and Perfectly Shaped Gems.
they definitely have a great track record, but we specifically said Independent cinema, searchlight has always been owned by a mega corporation so we don't think qualifies
If it wasn't for A24 I wouldn't be into horror as much as I am. I don't do jump scares because of my PTSD, but I freaking LOVE folk horror.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I added a ton of movies to my watchlist because of this episode so thanks a lot guys!
Awesome!

LOVE that movie! Carey Mulligan too
Biggest snubs?: Krisha, It Comes at Night, The Farewell, The Death of Dick Long, Waves, Saint Maud, Red Rocket, and The Humans.
Yeah, Krisha probably deserves a spot. Great flick.
Wasn’t a huge fan of them!
The Death of Dick Long is a perfect A24 movie.
So in the zeitgeist, I agree! A24 just has a feel about it, fun to see.
🙌
Just watched mid90s, Jonah hill’s film - beautifully simple and touching, great acting
🙌
Fun fact the first film I was a DP for was heavily inspired by Hereditary. Very fun to film bones twisting. If you know the scene you know.

Shocked that the Lighthouse isn't higher.
take a shot every time James or Anthony says any theme in a movie is "more relevant than ever" lmao , great show boys
I'm DRUNK
Binging y’all vids now🔥
Hell yeah 🫡
Great list!!! Only change I’d make is Aftersun being in the top 5. Great Show y’all!!!
Thanks!!
Thanks another great video lads.
Appreciate it’
They did actually make a sequel to tusk it's the film yoga hosiers
I just watched Under the Skin for the first time last night. One of the more unsettling films I’ve ever seen.
It's insane!
Love it ❤
I remember when I first saw Locke I was blown away I told everyone one in college about it but they looked all puzzled and was like wtf are you talking about.
Really???!! Such a shame, at least we know you have good taste
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ That's all that matters.
@@TheTitanGen 😎🤌
Love the video, guys!! Where abouts do you think 'Talk to Me' (2023) would fit into this Top 50 list?
Good question! We’d probably place it somewhere 25-15. 😁
Everything about how the witch was made is perfect, but the story and how a baby dies makes me hate this movie way too evil for my taste.
The only A24 movies I’ve seen are Pearl and X and both pretty darn good movies.
Love them!
I appreciate that you guys like Spring Breakers. Apparently it is quite controversial.
For real!?
After Enemy I looked up many videos explaining the confusing ending, not gonna lie, but it still confuses me to this day. Great movie though.
The wife is the spider. But figuratively.
The production studio didn’t matter much to me until I realized most of the movies I’ve enjoyed over the past few years are A24.
Great #1 pick.
Under the Skin is 10, and it's music is truly scary
👏👏
Aftersun that low is a crime
Good list but never got the hype around moonlight…I know this videos a bit old but talk to me and Beau is afraid would be high on this list for me as well
Fair enough!

A Prayer Before Dawn?

Past Lives is an A24 film, so I expected it to be on your list, but I didn't hear you name it. Did I somehow miss it? 🤔
We did this before Past Lives was released!
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ Yes! That did occur to me as I wrote my question. Thanks for your quick reply. Can you tell me where you would place Past Lives in your top A24 movies now? 🤔
@@barbaraladouceur6305 top 10 for sure!
I THINK you should host a Online Watch party/Movie Nite If you haven't already. 🍿 🎥,
We do on our Discord!
Hmm why is First Reformed so low 😭
First Reformed at 46 below movies like X and Pearl is like when Rolling Stones said Black Panther is the best comic book movie of all time. Absolutely stinky stuff boys, UNSUBSCRIBED
HAHAhahahahaha
You guys know what's better than A24?
A25
hahahahhaha

@@slimnave4846 don’t forget about Saving Of A Meaningless Duck

👀👀
A24 are not the best studio. Searchlight are much better

Close is actually a belgian movie not a french UNSUBSCRIBED!!!
BASICALLY THE SAME THING!! 🤣
“Everything Everywhere All At
once” aged like an old gym sock. That movie is so obnoxious.
Instantly dated. So corny.
Tangerine is not Sean Baker’s first movie.. it’s actually his 5th!! 😮 UNSUBSCRIBED

#1 should be under the silver lake
