There is no denying that the Hogwarts Express: Collector’s Edition version is the most accurate version of the Hogwarts Express we’ve ever gotten, although I do agree that its color scheme should technically be dark red for more accuracy, although it may still look like a darker shade of red depending on where you look at it when it is on display. I still own the 2018 version, and I am still very satisfied with it. The most recent version is definitely aimed more towards kids than collectors due to its simpler design especially with those passenger cars. Not to mention that the whole set may not appeal to collectors since none of the minifigures other than Lee Jordan (who has a new color for that Hobbit hair piece) are truly unique. Even though there are currently two Hogwarts Express sets on the market right now, it’s great that people can either get a more accurate and expensive version of this iconic train or a play-scaled version for kids.
love the comparison videos. great channel!
Thank you!
Passenger car

The 2018 one has a front bogey lock as well
Thanks.
Awesome video comparison! Just got the $500 for $150 off, so excited to build it!
That’s great that you were able to get it at a discount!
Amazing! Enjoy building it :)
Love the video. I know you're not a train person, and that's fine, but real locomotives carry water in the tenders as well, not just cole
Oh, I never knew that!
Yeah, it's a common misconception. I love the video though 👍
