  • When you lose an original module, either the EIS, ECM, TCM, ISM, etc, can anything be done to get you up and running again? Yes! This video shows how we used the data from an Engine Control Module to program a used Transmission Control Module to the same vehicle the ECM came from.
    If you need this type of service we can help. Find out website @ mercedesbenzsp...

    This is the first time seeing this method. Question after doing this, and lets say you found the original conductor plate, can you still use the original and use this for backup? Plug and play?

    One issue here friend. The original ecm would have had calibration data stored in it for the solenoid valves. You normally save and transfer this to the new unit. Without doing this the gear changes may not be smooth.

      How do you get calibration data on a used conductor plate? Are the solenoids part of valve body or part of conductor plate?

    • @gingerjessy
      @gingerjessy 9 місяців тому

      @@aleksa52 Actually the calibration data is the hydraulic characteristics of the original solenoids and the valve body.

      @gingerjessy so the conductor plate will have the calibration values to each solenoid butnif its used your really can't get that data. Unless it is in the Engine ecu.

      With a new tcu there is an adaptation process needed to learn all the correct settings for the car for a virgin tcu.

      You're correct. I'm sure you meant to say that the calibration data is stored in the TCM. Not the ECM. The base flow data is what sets the calibration of the valves, then over time the 722.9 TCM makes small adjustments (adaptations) as the valve body springs wear down. This is the data that we needed from the original, but since the original was not available, this is the best alternative for the cost. The 722.9 will make adjustments over the next 300-600 miles to bring the adaptations as close to the original as possible. Thanks for your comment.
