- In 1988, it would have been hard to imagine that Keanu Reeves, playing a dimwitted guitar player in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, would eventually be one of the biggest action stars in the world. All these years later, his résumé certainly reads like that of an action star: Point Break, Speed, The Matrix, and John Wick, the list goes on. But Reeves doesn’t feel like the standard action lead because he has spent such a large portion of his career typecast as surfer dudes and brainless bros. But Point Break was a major turning point for Reeves. The film allowed him to stick to his pre-established easy-going persona, while also engaging in some adrenaline pumping, high-stakes action. Despite nearly constant critical bashing, Reeves has stuck to his guns while never being afraid to try something new (the seedy motel manager in The Neon Demon is certainly a far cry from Johnny Utah). And we love him for it.

Keanu Reeves is a highly underrated actor IMO. He has his own style and for the most part uses it to his advantage. He is not a typically dramatic actor but he does not need to!

bruh i love this guy but hes genuinely not a good actor. I know the new Matrix movie is ass but his delivery on some of the lines especially in the start of the movie were so bad.

he also is very humble even to this day...the fame he got from matrix alone would corrupt lesser minds. this guy has so much damn money yet he will just chill out and ride on a public bus. he is so chill it's like he as well as neo has transcended our world and can see past the trivial shit. He has zero ego too which is why sometimes it often awkward watching him interviews because he just does not feel the need to clog up the room with countless talking like most actors do. He just gets straight to the point when answering questions and that is sometimes fresh and new to see.
That’s exactly why I love him, such a great human being.
The awesome thing about his role in The Matrix is that he gave something close to 20 million to the background people in the movie, paying the set carpenters, key grips, etc.

The best thing about Keanu Reeves is that you hear and see a lot of good things about him and you never hear it from him.
I can see where he got the reputation of being one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, he seems so humble and down to earth.
a long time I used to mock Keanus´s performances. I´ve drastically changed my opinion and learned to enjoy his appearance in movies. The man is a machine of dedication and like said in this video, when handled in the right way few can fit his shoes.
We love Mr. Reeves because he is the perfect example of what a human being should be. He just gets better with age.

Well Keanu has a very generous spirit and a sensitive side which women love but I'm not sure most men want to be like that they maybe want to be movie stars and ride motorcycles like him but not develop the depth of character he has.

He has become one of my favorite actors, and definitely my all time favorite celebrity. He is a great human. He is true to himself and what else can we ask for? All great actors constantly improve. I watch some of our favorites just phone it in, and Keanu never never does this. This video quotes too many idiotic reviews. I'm glad Keanu ignored them. He is the real deal. His humanity has been part of every performance. It's just too cool for the critics to see. That's why they are critics. If you can't do something, become a critic, and if you really have no ability, become a nasty critic.
Keanu is my favorite actor! He is humble, down-to-earth individual and focused about his work. Hell, he even trained real martial arts, so he doesn't relly on stunt doubles for his own movies. He came a long way.
He has one for John Wick but Keanu does 95% of his own stunts

How could you forget the man of tai chi. I believe that is one of his best roles that no one talks about
There's also the fact that he gives his all in every roll he has. The guy's in his 50s, and he still does his own stunts, training for hours and hours on end for the John Wick trilogy. He wants to go the extra mile just so he can help his directors make kickass movies. As an actor myself, I respect a guy like him who doesn't rely on his talent or resume, but rather his own hard work.

When he takes off the blindfold at the end scene, my heart sank. His movies loosely depicts his loneliness. Even his recent, Siberia.

Watch The Night Before it came out in 1988 Keanu is like 24 or 25 it's really funny but also corny but you will like it his facial expression are priceless.

I had a strange trajectory when it comes to Keanu. I saw River's Edge in theaters in 1987 and was badly smitten. Then ran to see Dangerous Liasons. However, was too much of a snob to see Bill and Ted, and didn't even see it till 2015 with my kids. Great kids movie. So much more appropriate than any Disney or Pixar, and great moral "don't be a dick". In the middle, Matrix seemed like such a different Keanu that I'm not sure it even really connected with me that it was the same person. I mean it did but it didn't. Like a whole bunch of separate incredibly gorgeous men who to my surprise turned out to be the same person.
I love Keanu, He's come along way and is a wonderful person to boot.
