      I would say Christian Bale would be right above him man. Talk about dedication. Holy Shit. I'm not just saying this cause he was Batman and Tom was Bane lol. No other actor I can think of would whittle down to 120 lbs by eating apples and running for hours a day to gaining over 100 pounds to play Batman, then told to lose about 20-30 lbs cause he was "too big" to play Batman. Not to mention getting jacked for American Psycho. Then getting fat as hell for American Hustle and the upcoming Backseat.

    • @dungeon-wn4gw
      @dungeon-wn4gw 6 років тому +18

      @monu2619993 Philip Seymore Hoffman is the only actor I can think of that transformed, was willing to go to extremely embarrassing places (no ego), and managed to also not chew up the scene, while also being a great presence in the movie. RIP Phillip.
      Another actor who I think was just about to reach DDL levels was Heath Ledger. That was such a tragedy. If you see DDL in interviews and speeches talking about Heath after his death, you can clearly see that he gets very emotional, because I think he felt a bond/connection with Heath through their acting skill and talent.

When asked if he ever saw the Waterfront and Brando, in that movie , after his powerful portrayal, in Brando lke performance in "The Drop" he said he never saw it ! Like an old school Brit, he takes his theatrical talents back to the days of Shakespeare and more then likely before that to Chaucer! Tom is a chic man and a unique actor. There are so many contradictions in it that it shocks and attracts even more to it. He is a treasure ❤❤❤ Tom is the best thing in cinema today 👑

    I didn't see one clip from Locke and for that I'm sad. One of my favorite performances and the only film where you get ALL Hardy.
    Edit: OH YAY! I made this comment before 4:00. I'm so glad you mentioned this!

    Bronson blew me away when I first saw it. Easily my favorite Hardy performance. Mad Max was pretty close though, the lack of dialogue forced him to create the character visually. Locke was good too. Ha he's good in everything.
