I did this route yesterday in glorious sunshine, such a stunning place and the walk across to haystacks and innominate tarn is well worth it as it is such a spectacular setting.
Me & my ex spent a long cold Aug night "lost" on Haystacks 20 years ago, very frightening, he was trying to light damp sheeps wool to keep us warm - happy memories! Spectacular views before the mist came down in the afternoon.
Amazing. All the great sights are there. You certainly caught a nice clear day for it. I love the views from Fleetwith pike and Haystacks, they are simply sublime.. I love the shot down the steep side slopes to the Honister pass too. Not good if you suffer from vertigo that bit. I got exactly the same shot on my video of the walk, check it out if you get chance. Great minds think aloke . lol.
