@@Pingu_SUSyou're gonna need a 100-180 dollar motherboard with an x series cpu, and am4 does not support ddr5. Look for one with. Big vrms like the b550 mag tomahawk or asus rog strix

i did one of those a couple months ago and i recommend asus prime b450m-a ll (m-atx) with a 2200g, 2x8 corsair vengenence ddr4 ram, 512gb of m.2 storage, fractal design focus g mini for a case and a thermaltake smart 700w power supply. definitely go used for the cpu and motherboard (i got my 2200g for 30 us dollars) and if any other components are worth it for used, definitely go ahead and get them. the total cost was 300-400 and tax and shipping cost was a little over $50
Zach you’re the man! I really appreciate what you do for the computer building community. I used to know nothing, and now I feel fairly confident in what I’m doing and have done a lot of upgrades. I’m finally buying a case to start fresh. Now my biggest question for you is: I’m used to AMD so I’m kind of new to Nvidia. What GPU/CPU build is the best for a $2000 gaming Pc? Also what PC do you offer under $2000 that can handle 1440p?
I got a TUF Gaming B550-Plus WIFI II motherboard when i upgraded from Phenom II to 5th gen Ryzen 5. For the price its a solid board and has onboard WiFi and Bluetooth
I’ve used the B550M Pro-VC Wi-Fi before, and it’s a pretty great mobo. I always see it being overshadowed by the B550M Pro-VDH Wi-Fi, which just has less PCIe slots. Glad to see it being recognized.
@@blindtreeman8052 The VDH has less PCIe slots than the VC, their chipset heatsinks are a bit different and the VC has two red USB ports while the VDH has blue ones.
I'd like as much USB and ports I can have while also be able to connect to multiple things wirelessly. Whether Bluetooth or dongle. It's great having a board that does it all.
I wish if you can make a video explaining the vrm thing like how do i know if the motherboard has a good vrm or if the vrm will be enough for my needs?
I was really thinking of getting a b550-f motherboard but it’s unfortunate that the new amd cpu series has a different socket. I’ll probably end sticking with what I have now and upgrade to am5 in 4-5 years

please try to recommend micro atx motherboards that aren’t as cheap as these. i really dont like being that kind of kb warrior, but i really dont think that it’s worth it for most people to lose out on better motherboard components, such as 802.11ax vs 802.11ac, internal usb 3.0 ports (a and c), and better/more pcie lanes, just to save $30. the two motherboards you listed will most likely not last more than 2 years before being upgraded and ending up in a landfill. as bad as it sounds, its better for boards that cheap to sit on the shelves until the manufacturers recycle them in an ecologically sound manner. there are much better micro atx options for $25-50 more, an amount which for most peoples’ budgets, can be reallocated from money saved for the gpu, an item people overspend on most of the time anyway
