But it sounds like AMD have also found a manufacturing issue, so have pulled all the CPUs from the shelves. Although this is not ideal, it does give a huge boost to AMDs image, especially against how Intel handled a similar situation.

It is also possible that they were testing random samples from the production batches and were finding an unacceptable number were having problems. Remember, AMD don't make their own CPUs, they outsource the manufacturing to TSMC which means AMD may only test the batch samples when the whole batch (probably multiple batches) are shipped to them, so they may have already sent out the retail CPUs for the launch before full batch testing had been completed. Do you have any evidence to support your apparent position that AMD were intentionally going to KNOWINGLY send faulty CPUs out, but chickened out at the last minute?

There's plenty of FB builders, I do this myself in the UK, will be much cheaper than from a company, check you local area, or try building yourself
