Jigging Vancouver Island Lingcod - I was Holding on for Dear Life | Fishing with Rod

The West Coast of Vancouver Island produces big ferocious lingcod which we love to catch. We also go fishing for them because they are super tasty. My favourite way to catch them is by dropping and jigging big jigs which lingcod would chase up once these lures hit the bottom.

Yeah pretty similar, the jigging motion is probably not as rigorous for snapper. I would say it’s more similar to jigging for yellowtail kingfish, except they pull way harder than lingcod. 😉
