It last for two weeks, but I’ve gone longer with only touching up the roots and blow drying to maintain

Genuine question…what is the difference between a silk press and flat ironed hair? I thought silk presses had to go through the wrap with a blast of cool air process.
Blow drying the hair straight before flat ironing makes the hair airy & gives it a more naturally straight look as opposed to flat ironing without the blow drying process

Thank you! Deep conditioning, oil is MUST (prevents breakage), and not touching my ends. Whatever hair style I do I make sure I’m focusing on my scalp and not doing too much with my ends.
