- Once upon a time, tomato aspics were the brilliant red centerpieces of luncheon buffets. They were peppered with pimiento-stuffed olives or crisp bits of celery, chilled in ring-shaped molds, turned out onto lettuce-lined trays, and filled with the hostess's signature blend of chicken or shrimp salad.

I don't know why I'm watching this at 4AM..... but I'm craving it....
Me too and talking myself into making it since I can't find on the store shelves anymore.
I used to love a nice cottage cheese and tomato aspic salad as a kid.
I’m honestly amazed came across a cabaret dish & just been looking at everything w aspic or gelatin 😭😭 . Don’t know if I could eat it though !
GET TU BED
somebody get their grandma
My mother always made my favorite tomato aspect during the holidays. She always used lime jello mixed with the tomato juice and arranged it in a jello mold with slices of hard boiled eggs and slices of ripe avocado. It was my absolute favorite.
My great-grandmother used to make a really good tomato shrimp aspic .She would add 2 cans of shrimp, finely chopped celery, green onions ,shredded carrots to lemon jello made with V8 juice added a bit of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce to taste when ready dollop of mayo. Delicious
That sounds so good!
The music was a vibe
