These multi-faced Thomas (and possibly James) knockoffs give me Culdee Fell Railway vibes. These engines (seen in the Railway Series books, not the TV shows or movies) have an extra face (which doesn't resemble their main face) on their cab to look behind them. It makes less sense here, as putting all of Thomas' faces (which look identical) on his front looks like he's turning into a hydra version of a train.
So i wonder if this thomas is reference to mashed. Because there is a series with Thomas the tank engine, and postmen pat. And in the series postmen Pat turns into the devil. And Thomas turns into an angel
