I bought an SG-41 mahogany about a month ago and I've been thanking Robin Boucher everyday ! Well, at least wanting to thank him for building such a fine instrument. These guitars are the best on the market! Simply, THE BEST!

Very proud that Boucher is a Canadian (french-Canadian) company. Can't wait to get my hands on an OM!

I play an awesome Studio Goose Alancia model that I absolutely love. Great tones and very inspirational, and the building quality is extraordinary. Expensive yes, but they will follow you for the rest of your life.

Adirondack is eastern red spruce, it's called Adirondack because the best quality red spruce for soundboards comes from higher elevations, ( a harsher climate creates a tougher tree with more even growth rings ) therefore the Adirondack mountains, which is why Canadian red spruce is usually better quality than most of the U.S. stuff which is being farmed from along the eastern coast at or near sea level....the U.S. almost completely wiped out it's red spruce forests during world war two which is why they switched to Sitka and others. In fact, Boucher makes a lot of it's money from selling unfinished AAAA book matched soundboards to high end makers like Collings Bourgeouis and Martin. So chances are if you have a high end Adirondack top on an American brand guitar you've got Boucher to thank for it, as they are smack dab in the middle of the largest red spruce forest in the world, and i believe actually own a large part of it.

You know, I'm not sure what went wrong here. I know and use both those microphones, but the recording quality of this video is absolute garbage ... especially in the clips with the strumming dude. The finger style guy does better. Oh well, you always have to hear a fine acoustic guitar in person and play it yourself. This is just enough to hear that they're very detailed. I bet they're a million times better in person.

Accent usually goes on the 'ron' syllable... ad-i-RON-dack. Try it with me now... ad-i-RON-dack. I was trying to figure out if you meant anaerobic or something, like the wood that was sitting at the bottom of lake Michigan or something.

You are aware that Boucher guitars are hand built by the sons of Normand Boucher the original maker of "Norman" guitars in the early 1970's.

Not anymore, Claude Boucher is retired. His cousin (Robin Boucher) is now the head of Boucher guitars.

I heard onle good things about these guitar but I sadly thing that youtube video doesn't really show how those guitar are good.
One that has been jumping to my ears because I like the sound of it (obviously when it is EQ) is the guitar of Tobias Rauscher (fingerstyle guitarist) is a Taylor _____ forgot the name. I was listening to some random guitar videos cover/original stuff from different people and I stumble upon a cover of a song and I automatically recognized that Taylor guitar. What I like about it is the mids and low. And with this recording I feel like it could have been improved just a little by being EQ a little. I'll still give it a try to play with one of those models one of these days. But next time it's ok to add a little EQ to shot the how low it can sounds good. I have a 300$ for now and it sounds like crap in the lows WITH EQ.
Or maybe those guitar doesn't have that low range quality sound I'm looking for. I don't know, but I'll try to give it a try for myself. :)

hi son and his nephew actually....I spoke with robin before on the phone. There was a building flaw on my guitar....the braces were put next to the walls of the guitar....they don't shink as fast as the back and front do......binding pops out at those joints...
