They Are Billions is a strategy game in a distant future about building and managing human colonies after a zombie apocalypse destroyed almost all of human kind. Now there are only a few thousand humans left alive that must struggle to survive under the threat of the infection. Billions of infected roam around the world in massive swarms seeking the last living human colonies.

Survival Mode
In this mode, a random world is generated with its own events, weather, geography, and infected population. You must build a successful colony that must survive for a specific period of time against the swarms of infected. It is a fast and ultra addictive game mode. We plan to release a challenge of the week where all players must play the same random map. The best scores will be published in a leaderboard.
Real Time with Pause
This is a real-time strategy game, but don’t get too nervous. You can pause the action to take the best strategic and tactical decisions.
In Pause Mode, you can place structures to build, give orders to your army, or consult all of the game’s information.
This game is all about strategy, not player performance or the player’s skill to memorize and quickly execute dozens of key commands. Pause the game and take all the time you need!
Build your Colony
Build dwellings and acquire food for the colonists. They will come to live and work for the colony.
Collect resources from the environment using various building structures. Upgrade buildings to make them more efficient.
Expand the energy distribution of the colony by placing Tesla Towers and build mills and power plants to feed the energy to your buildings.
Build walls, gates, towers, and structures to watch the surroundings. Don’t let the infected take over the colony!

No worries about pausing, it's kinda the main feature of the game, and it is prominent on the HUD suggesting we use it often for a reason.
For some reason I thought TAB didn't have a push pause. I always avoided it because of that!

@@METALFREAK03 And I've been playing Age of Darkness instead because of that - well, nice to know it's in now :-)
@@GoodEggGuy If you enjoy Age of Darkness you will definitely like TAB.
TAB is on sale but not sure why, it is a bit more stingy than their last one. (17:49 in the summer sale, but in winter it was 14:29 (pounds).)
Hey Mr ODD - there is kinda a way to select only vet units. Select your big group of mixed units, then in the portrait window click the down arrow to remove a unit from the selection.
This will always be a non vet unit if there are any. Keep clicking down arrow till the portrait becomes that of a vet unit meaning they now all must be..
Its not a very fast way tho.
Remember you can use F4 or Mouse Wheel Click to turn FLAT MODE ON/OFF to check terrain better if you have doubts or view is blocked!!!
And also Hold Left Alt to show HP BARS to see hiding Zombies 👍

Hi Christopher. I'm happy that you are playing this again. I have 2 recommendations that should help. Use F4 to flatten the map to more easily see the gaps that the zombies might come through. The second is that you can hot key groups of building like houses that make them easier to upgrade without having to double click on one to select them again. Good Luck
Happy to see Odd revisit this game. He got me started on this game. I played through about 5 times and even made custom maps in the workshop.

As soon as Odd said he hadn't had any deaths, we all knew that archer's death was inevitable.
Don't treat Ballista as permanent, place them to hold gaps, then later delete them, they stand in for soldiers which could be off clearing the map. Throw down a ballista in a gap, drop a couple of scratching posts in front and you're good to go.
I leave permanent ballista all over the place. I've also played with no ballista. Either you build towers and staff them with defenders or you build ballista, either works but leaving up ballista next to towers is a bit wasteful, I will agree with that.

Imagine if this company did an Attack on Titan style game like this. One where you have to build civilization in a titan world with them slowly growing in numbers, eventually introducing Abnormals, and maybe even Founding titans.
Regarding the pausing, I actually like that. Since I haven't played the game, seeing you pause to focus on building and strategy helps me digest the mechanics of the game. No complaints here, chief!

You should be aiming for 200 pop per wave, so before wave 1 hits, get to 200, before wave 2, get to 400, etc.. you were well under 400 at the start of the episode which is why you might have felt behind.
This is great fun to watch. Its very interesting watching you build for the waves, its like you're planning on getting pounded, but the waves seem to go smoothly! gg

On that note, tip of the day: Grabbing resources > epxansion, which will also get you to pay attention to your population, possibly the most important resource in the game til Mayor 4

I have over 500 hours of playing it. It was worth whatever I paid for it.
Calling an indy developer greedy while the game is 30 dollars is wild, to be honest. Considering AAA games are in the 70s and are getting worse and worse.
