South Dakota Snow Geese | Duck Lore
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 сер 2022
- In this episode, Sean Weaver is joined by Mikal Gowins and Kevin Gillespie in South Dakota, which is one of the most important places for duck populations during the nesting and migration periods. But it’s not just ducks that it benefits; with endless corn fields and glacial lakes, Eastern South Dakota is vital Snow Goose habitat, with millions migrating through here each spring.

Most realistic snow goose hunting video out there. Most videos show the once in a lifetime hunts. We live for singles and doubles
😂😂 yup
What I always love about Meateater productions, they keep it real and show what hunting is really like. Great show guys
Anxiously waiting this whole episode for the truck to break down
Hahaha beat me to it
Looked like ole warm weather chef had issues getting up and out of his layout blind with all those clothes on. 🤣🤣🤣
You guys should do a river kayak float hunting episode showing the opportunities that are possible in small and medium sized rivers and streams. Showing the versatility of kayak bird hunting maybe hit Virginia or the Midwest and get a couple of woodies!
Or one on jump shooting.
Side benefit is Sean wouldn’t have to worry about his boat not running lolol
I think this is the most quiet I’ve seen Kevin. He knows when to stay quiet when he’s not the expert, but is definitely talkative when he’s the one who knows a lot about a thing.
Those ghg stakes in the dark brings back memories.
Another great waterfowl episode. It's not always roses and butterflies, there is a ton of work that goes into it.
Favorite Duck Lore episode. I’m hoping we see Chef Gillespie make so more content out of the harvest
This. I was disappointed they didn't cook.
Yass! My favorite hunt! Finally an episode about snow geese! Thanks for that!
I went on a hunt very similar to this last spring with my dad. We hunted 2 1/2 days and came home with 75 birds
Just curious, what do you do with that many birds?

"Aww hell, I'll die there anyway." lol Good stuff.
So good . The highs and the lows make this one of the best. Great job. 👏🙌👍
Very very well put together series!
Love the Duck Lore series!
De Smet SD love it!
Awesome stuff
Love Duck Lore 👍👍
I was glad to see Mikal not wearing the black hoodie in the grass.
Great episode. Lookin forward to a Eastern NC snow goose hunt this year. Would like to see Kevin make some things out of those geese.
Let’s see Sean pull a swan tag!
Commenting before I watch the episode, what are the chances he has problems with that pro-drive motor again?
0 because they didn't use it, but 100% if they did
Passionate and crazy exactly 💯lol
I know exactly where they are hunting. Pretty awesome to see this.
Right on time 😎
The most fun in hunting.
Hay Ive stayed at the DeSmeet hotel twice before for spring snows.
Them little fake gymnast moves always gets you hyped thinking the sky will tornado over you
Nicely Done, patience is a virtue not many have 🐦🙌.
JO JO IN VT 😆💕
Snow goose hunting is brutal but damn I love shooting em. Lots of hard work and very frustrating about 99% of the time but when it works, its bliss. For the next season of duck lore, try shooting em in the fall. The juvies are way dumber.
Days like this, all I think is, man I coulda slept in today and still shot the same amount of birds! Lol
We shoot most of our Snow's during the regular season, 20 a day, no possession limit on them, most all are mature birds. We set up the Snow spread to shoot our prized White Fronted Geese. When we do, often have 20-30 Snow days. Not to mention, our duck season is still in at the same time. Many days we shoot our White Fronts, most of our mallards and just a handful of Snow's and Blues. Great days in the field, just seeing so many birds in the air!
Can someone plz tell me the of the Camouflages they wearing? It’s looks awesome ❤️
With adult birds two dozen pristine full bodies goes way further than a thousand sillosocks or silhouettes. Don’t know how other people haven’t figured that out. I decoy flocks of hundreds of old birds with a good hide and my two dozen full bodies that I treat like they’re breakable glass 😂
Props to the CHEF G Da Meal as hes getting in more hunting than Cal… lol…
Id like to see CHEF G Da Meal click some pans with the snows…
Swing by Conrad MT for a sharpie/ hun hunt with the Natural Verde..
You guys should use a cow board sometime.
Need to get you some socks and silhouettes, those full bodies don’t work haha
Where is the logic to that?
@@D_Boone just a joke, because usually it’s the full body guys saying that to us silo guys when stuff goes wrong
How come there isn’t more episodes? Newest episode is over a year ago?
More of a curiosity question do you do do pet blinds I'd appreciate it if you look up diggityduck blinds and tell what you think thank you
Question for you! What shells did you use for this hunt. I usually use BB for geese but sometimes I think #2 or 3 is better. Thoughts?
Hey Sean! Was curious which F-150 you have, the 3.5 or 5.0? Thanks in advance, love the show!
@Sean Weaver if you don’t mind me asking, why the reason for the second one? First one have a good long life?
@Sean Weaver what do you average on mpg? I’m stuck between a Tundra and F-150, trying to get real world feedback instead of just internet research lol
where can i find one of these duck blinds
U guys should use WW2 Flak batteries. This could help killing those birds
What did you hunt with?
IDK jack shit about hunting in S. Dakota, but is the "legal means for taking game' exclude HMR? You could snipe those herds of birds from 200 yards out if you had the right setup and it were legal???
Hello
I like kevin

If I look up Steven rinela I better get Steven fucking rinela.
You probably didn’t “get him” because you spelled his last name wrong, ya shitbird

I'm sorry, but you need to park Kevin Gillespie..not my cup of tea guys.
You guys on meat eater are a sausage fest you need to get Hannah Baron on your team and some more female hunters
Wow, aren’t you just a 🤡
What? 99 percent of hunters are dudes it’s a male industry why do they neeeed to get a female hunter?
thats not what meat eater is all about. And there are females like Kimi and Danielle.
Well, less than 1 in 10 hunters are female, even less in many areas. That means that far fewer women will apply for these jobs, or even have the qualifications or desire for the jobs.
@@D_Boone and 1 in 10 is just the amount that buy licenses, that isn’t the amount that actually go hunting every weekend I guarantee the number of people who actually hunt is closer to 1 in 100
