This song slowly became one of my favorites by ABBA. I really like the sad lyrics and how the entire song is essentially one long chorus.

This is one of my early favourites. Fab song, inspired by Phil Spector's 'Wall of Sound' production techniques. I agree that it would work stunningly well in a movie setting. It would be a real tear-jerker!!

one of the first bands to harmonize with themselves. Singing the highs and the lows by multi tracking their voices ove the main voices. It gave them a full sound.

hello Jay, so nice to see you with another ABBA reaction
"Dance (while the music still goes on)" is a beautiful song, it's nice to hear it, it has a very nice introduction by Agnetha and a very catchy and adorable chorus it's true
from the album Waterloo you only did two, this is the third
    I could suggest:
    Hasta mañana (lead voice Agnetha)
Gonna sing you my love song (lead voice Frida)
Suzy hang around (lead voice Benny)
and Honey honey (they alternate verses them and them)
and I allow myself a very special request
on other occasions you made two reactions to a song and its video (and three with "Summer night city" live)
why don't you do a second reaction just to "Waterloo"?
long ago you made the official video
now I ask you to see the presentation of ABBA competing with "Waterloo" in the Eurovision Song Contest in England 1974, when they won and the door to world knowledge was opened
it is a historical moment to ABBA, and you are going to enjoy it,
all the ABBA videos and songs that you saw have their origin in that unforgettable night that I invite you to see the link:
    ua-cam.com/video/Vp1_OKawHYw/v-deo.html
    my best regards to You
    from Buenos Aires Argentina

Watch Out, Does Your Mother Know, usw. anhört!!!
Dance ( While The Music Still Goes On), war für Agnetha und Björn,wie gemacht. Harmonie Pur💯🎼🎶🎵👍👍👍👍

There music is sort or melencholly and uplifting at the same time Definatly sounds nostalgic and it did in the 70's when I discovered it Thanks for a great review and reaction Bill

Oh my god, this makes me so nostalgic. Agnethas has the voice of a goddess.
And at 07:06 you came in just a little too late for a detail that always made my heart jump, where she sings "why did things turn out so bad" where it sounds like she "rolls" on the d in "bad". it is so subtle, but it had such an impact on me.
I have spent hours listening to those kinds of details.
Of course, this was back in the 70's when I was a teenager.

Thank you again! Their first period is for me "the music of happy people", it is jovial, full of lightness, almost carefree, people in love, happy with their lives, too repetitive, a little, before they evolve without limit means of production. Their musical periods are evolutionary. and Also in this period there is also "suzy hang around". 😘

I discovered ABBA at the age of 12: their Greatest Hits album had come out in the UK a few months before, and it was cheekily titled, given that they had only registered 3 Top 10 hits at the time, albeit two of them (Waterloo and Mamma Mia) had reached number 1 - the other (SOS - far the best in my opinion) got to number 6 before Mamma Mia, off the back of a run of 3 flops. This track, Dance (While The Music Still Goes On) was on that Greatest Hits album, which - incidentally - was the UK's 2nd-best selling album of the 1970s. Even to my young ears, this was a stand-out track, and why it was never a single, given the options on the Waterloo album, is beyond me. The orchestration, the lyrics and the vocals are so far ahead of anything else that they were doing at the time - it's great to hear someone else appreciate this track!

Thanks for the ABBA. Yeah it's a good one. They really weren't very big before Euro-vision. I think they were bigger in their other bands and Agnetha as a solo artist. It's all kinda tied into the Polar Music story. Benny and Bjorn were the new blood there. They wrote and produced all the new bands as well as the bands they were in. They were trying new things and wanting to break into the world market. But the knew the best chance was with what had become ABBA. But they all stayed pretty safe with their other carers too. Agnetha was huge in Sweden as a solo artist. You hear stuff like this and realise what good song writers both were. But they had to kinda invent ABBA to do their stuff. I wish you would react to Benny's 2010 RRHOF speak ---> ua-cam.com/video/5jFQLItqFhg/v-deo.html It's very touching and he tells where the music came from. Again thanks for the ABBA you do a great job.
