I would be more excited to see sub $600 55in oled tv's. But I'm also more interested in mini led tv's becoming better than oled. The organic nature of oled is a large conscern to me because of its lifetime. I don't see oled being a long term viable option. I don't tend to buy new tv's very often. In fact I had a 1080p plasma TV for 10 years. Now I have a 2019 tcl 4k 43in but its not great for gaming. I want a 55in 4k 144hz freesync micro led but would settle for a mini led under $600. Don't have the money for it right now but it's an end goal kind of thing. If I get a 55in 4k 144hz freesync tv I probably won't upgrade for another 10 years. Unless micro led becomes sub $600 for a 55in 4k 144hz 🤪
If you are worried about lifespan stay away from TCL or Hisense, even if they are mini LED. The Mini LED’s to look for are the qn90 samsung or the x93/x95 sony, and that technology isnt going to be sub $600 for a decade
Mini led will never be up to Oled, as it's still just 70s calculator LCD tech. But you can wait for Emissive Quantum Dot displays ("Nano Led" is the latest name for that) or MicroLed, those should both be superior in almost everything, except for maybe pricing.

Hi Caleb - Thanks for your update on CES 2024 and your visit to SONY. The thought of bigger TVs is exciting but for many the cost is unaffordable. I always hope the new innovations will mean that previously unaffordable TVs become more affordable. The technology in LCD/OLED/Mico LED is producing better bigger pictures. In the past I have bought LG OLED’s as I considered they had the best picture. Last year LG released the G3 with MLA (Micro Lens Array). These new TVs are so expensive. Over the years I have moved from a 26” CRT to a 30” LCD to a 55” and 65” OLED. I understand TCL have released a 115” Mini LED TV but it is generally unavailable outside China, When do you expect the price of 77’/83” OLED TVs to drop significantly? There is a big price difference between LG’s G3 TVS and their QNED Series which are about half the price for the same size. Given the screen technologies are all improving significantly QNED seems to be so much more affordable. I would appreciate your feedback on what quality loss one might see in the QNED?
Personally, I'm not that interested in any screens larger than 55 or 60 inches as my home (moderate in size) doesn't allow for a larger TV per my viewing distance to the wall. It just doesn't make sense. It would also come at the cost of it looking gaudy to have a humungous t.v. in a room that commands attention. It's like having someone yelling at the top of their lungs, "look at me." What I would be interested in is even more higher quality screens resolution, lower glare, more inputs/outputs and one connect boxes options for those 55-60 inch screens. From a real estate vantage point (and I'm not a realtor so take this with a grain of salt) I do see a trend of people buying more smaller/mid size homes due to higher prices and what they can afford. So having a higher quality mid size TV to fit in those homes might make more sense to those purchasing. Will there still be a need for those 80, 90, 100+ inch screens in peoples McMansions, of course. But I just don't see the demand of such large screens growing that much, if at all, over the next decade. Eventually, there's a limit to what is reasonable to have and I think it's goign to be hard to make those large screens to be in such high demand. This is just my theory though, I could be way off. Regardless, I'm excited to see what comes out of CES 2024 and Iove the quality of information you put in your channel! Thanks
When I was shopping for a bigger TV I had the salesman turn them off so I could get an idea of how they would look most of the time (turned off). He thought I was a little strange but it gave me a better perspective on how they would look in my living room.
Looks like i will have to wait until tomorrow to find out what Sony has to tempt me in 2024. I do not want OLED or a massive screen, i don't live in Beverly Hills or the USA. Nor will i ever buy another TV from China. Here's hoping that micro LED screens are available in sensible sizes and prices.
As far massive TVs not being able to ship easily, I think this is where the advantage of TVs that roll up into their stand comes into play... Perfect the image quality of that tech and its price then you've got something that's much much easier to ship. No one says you have to ever roll it up again once it's in your home if you don't want to.
depends on your use and need. If you have a secondary tv that you are happy with then wait. If you pretty much need a daily driver and can't wait until summer then stick with what you have, you prob got a discount and there won't be a discount until black friday next year. As he said it will be an iteration not a revolution in tv tech. You also need to know what features are important to you and what kind of user you are. Basic movies or high refresh rate gaming...
I don't think that will ever be the case. I think in time there will be some new tech that has the perfect blacks and crazy brightness without Oleds. Then Oleds will be the Plasma of today. But, atleast 5 years more or so is my guess. And ofc, I have no idea. 😁
Sooo over the TVs, show me the new 8k ultra short throw DLP projectors. Thats where all the excitement is now. OLED motion is a non starter coming from a plasma.
Regarding the shipping logistics argument, don’t we ship larger items already? Fridges, couches, washing machines. A TV being thinner seems like it would be easier to accommodate. 🤷♂️
I think he means in relation to the current budgeted pricing the companies use. So forever they can budget for a 40-60 inch tv, not that 86 inch more common and over 100 will be coming it will effect their budgeting for shipping.
LG announced their line-up. G4 83” with MLA. I’d be happy just to get the 77” with the included stand this year. My hope is with the new A11 chip they can fix overshoot and near black artifacts. If Samsung can bring their processing quality from their 8K models down to the S90D and S95D - that will be a huge win too.
I just want them to start making everything wireless is that is possible to reduce cables. My Samsung sound bar is already wireless and that's awesome! Can they make the powercord wireless now somehow without having to charge it? Technology needs to move forward there now lol

I've got my eye on the hisense u8k for now. I'm hoping 2024 will have better tv's for the same price or lower the prices of 2023 tv's. I'm not really in the market for a TV necessarily though.
Dam, … your cheap-
100+ inch TV's .... the major hurdle is getting the box through your front door - Tiled TV's are the way to go for projector sized level displays
agreed. p
2024 is going to be crazy😊. For TVS man oh man.
I think the big thing about OLED is BFI (maybe even at 120hz or 144hz) with the same brightness or just a little less than last year's TVs, because LG said their 2024 TVs have about the same brightness as last years.
Haha you mentioned large tvs and my mind went straight to Linus’ latest tv video!
ME TOO!
That man changes TVs like most people change clothes.
This is a game changer for the UK. If they get the indoor outdoor proportions correct then this will become many Brits annual holiday destination.
I gotta say this video kind of ticks me off in hindsight because I was hoping for announcements about 95 inch Oleds seeing as how they’ve been around. I get that you aren’t in charge of what products get released but when I hear massive tvs I’m thinking massive tvs
merry Christmas 🤶 🤶 and happy new year
Caleb, I just had to warranty replace my 65" LG CX and got the C3 as a replacement for not much money. Did I make a mistake and should have taken the credit on a gift card? All I do is game on PS5, Series X and use a Sony 4K player for my 4k and bluray movies
Omg, can’t wait til’ January 4 & January 7 Caleb👍👍👍👍…..I’m more interested in Samsung’s Line -Up but TCL & Hisense is always on my radar the last 2 years @ CES for sure, especially with there aggressive under-cutting Sony, LG & Samsung, low price attacks….
Heyohhhhhh!
I'd love to see more "pro"sumer AV technology featured on this channel. But I love it!
Is the January 4th video the stuff you couldn’t tell us from the Japan video.
i want linkable displays to make whatever size TV you want
Question about ambient mode, can I set it to activate on my s95c automatically when it enters screen saver mode instead of the generic dark screen one
Would you recommend the G3 above a fireplace since you can’t tilt it down? Custom home so it won’t have a high mantle when the house is built.
I’d like to see Samsung offer a 83 inch or larger, QD-OLED this year.
Even if they weren’t planning on it, now that LG has announced that they will be releasing a 83 inch G4 and M4 TV with MLA, I’m hoping that Samsung will make this announcement for 2024.
LG spilled the beans, 83" OLED w/ MLA
Would you buy an A95L now, or get something from this list?
Once roll-up OLED TVs come out. I'm certain standard versions will be cheap !
TCL also has a 115" mini led TV only for China. Can't wait for these to come to US
Yeah i have seen Hisnse having TVs in 120’ in Chinese site. They just dont come here yet. I assume will come soon once ppl want bigger TVs.
Can anyone help me pick tv? All are 65'' (In Sweden that's why the prices may differ)
Samsung Q70C - 999$
Samsung Q80C - 1199$
LG QNED91 Miniled - 1099$
TCL MQLED80 - 1199$
Hisense UHD Mini led - 1099$
Or any other recommendations in same price class.
So lg have announced there 2024 oled tvs with the option for the g series being shipped with a table top stand
Fun and enticing video!! Looking forward to your coverage of CES and the new developments in technology.
What hall is the new 110 inch Hisense TV at?
Who's the other reviewer to watch you mention? Is it HDTVTest?
I've never cared about CES much before. I'm very interested in new OLED tech now though.
Is an A80L a good buy now? Or wait until they release a brighter version at the end of the year?
So not phosperus oled blue again 😢
As far massive TVs not being able to ship easily, I think this is where the advantage of TVs that roll up into their stand comes into play... Perfect the image quality of that tech and its price then you've got something that's much much easier to ship. No one says you have to ever roll it up again once it's in your home if you don't want to.
If I just bought the 2023 Sony A80L, should I return it for something coming this year? Please answer! Limited time left, lol
depends on your use and need.
I hope this the year Panasonic returns to the US market.
I'm excited about Sharp as well since my 2010 Aquos LC-40D68UT is still going strong.
No more burn in!
Great, just when you convinced me to buy a TV, new ones are being announced.
What is the rush of learning what new TVs will be coming this year? As if people will flood to order them asap. Too much exaturation.
Whats the embargo for ? Vincent put out spec sheet of LG TVs already
Will the x90l have a new model number for the improved backlighting?
Wish someone would make a 32" OLED or microLED TV for small spaces.
Think Samsung or Asus just announced a 32" oled.
I'm still trying to get my hands on a 55" 2023 G3.
that there will be an 83 inch G4 and M4 with a second gen MLA panel that does 144hz in 2 ports .
OLED and QD-OLED will no longer be in danger of burn in? QD-OLED in 85 (83) inches?
I don't think that will ever be the case. I think in time there will be some new tech that has the perfect blacks and crazy brightness without Oleds. Then Oleds will be the Plasma of today. But, atleast 5 years more or so is my guess. And ofc, I have no idea. 😁
@@memorycard1000 just throwing out wild guesses lol!!!
Burn in hasn't been a genuine concern for years.
@@TheBroz hope you’re right but still hear stories related to burn in for both oled and qd/oled tvs
Sooo over the TVs, show me the new 8k ultra short throw DLP projectors. Thats where all the excitement is now. OLED motion is a non starter coming from a plasma.
I'm hoping for sub $1000 55in micro led tv's. But from what I've heard, we won't see sub $10k 55in tv's until 2031 😭
h iwil there be any 85 inch mini led with ads panel? all are va it seems
I can't wait to hear you about Sony's
If I don't see an 83" MLA or QD-OLED I'm going to cry.
That might be a winner for me! Have been hoping for a 83" QD-OLED but this would be a solid alternative.
I just want them to start making everything wireless is that is possible to reduce cables. My Samsung sound bar is already wireless and that's awesome! Can they make the powercord wireless now somehow without having to charge it? Technology needs to move forward there now lol
Hisense U8K 100 inch TV was priced at 2999.00 for a short time.
If going 100" +... why not go with a projector? Pro's / Con's?
Pros are ease of set up and handling. Cons are slower latency times for video gaming and needing to have good room treatment to control the light.
Man !!!….what a teaser !!!!
I just ordered an oled lg 77 2023 I couldn’t wait for this year’s 😊
Definitely going to see unattainable pricing. I guarantee it.
any nakamichi dragon 11,4,6 competitor?
When will we see 12-bit panels?
I'm... watching you on a 77" LG C1 OLED, my guy, I really don't care about massive TV's as much as smaller and more affordable ones.
I think everyone in the states is done with getting hyped for big TV's.
