Most people commenting admired the clamps, applaud you ingenuity, and offered ideas for improvements. It's a supportive and constructive conversation. I'd like to take a moment to thank you for your video shooting and editing skills. This video demonstrates an easy and useful build in a way that is concise and respectful of the viewers' time without feeling rushed. You're as much a master of making videos as you are a builder of things. Thank you.
There are DIY'rs and there are DIY'rs galore; around the whole world on UA-cam. But every once in a while; one finds a DIY'r that is a truly "CUT"-Above. And the young man that owns this channel; is one of them for sure. Thank you kind Sir. For ALL of your videos are great.
This would be great for hinging and hanging doors. I have always used a jig with a plywood base with feet that squeezed the door tightly as the weight pressed down. Yours is a more elegant solution for sure. Kudos my man.
great design! I worked for a carpenter 40+ years ago that had what he called a door vice - it had taller vertical triangles with a strip of carpet as the sling part. The footing was hinged at an angle a little greater than 180 so the weight of the door pinched the verticals together to clamp the door in place. Of course he used it exclusively for doors - hinges, etc. Your design fits a much wider range of boards and looks stronger, may need to be scaled up for doors. Great work.
as a novice wood worker iv followed your work from early on. My techniques are more fine tuned and projects are getting neater, All i need now is a bigger shop.
really solid design - perhaps the strap could have a length adjustment on one end to allow setting the board at different heights dependent on the board width - this would expose board edge for planing etc
Or just drop another board of the same thickness in first to raise the board being worked above the clamps. That way you wouldn't need to adjust the strap length.
I saw the upgrade and it definitely needs an adjustable strap so the board edge is exposed from one end to the other on various widths. Otherwise it's a great idea and I've now got it on my to do list for my shop
No need for that just put a block of wood under the bottom of the strap to wedge the board to the height you want. If i understand what you are going for. Or an actual wedge, but what is there is pretty solid already. Nuice Job :)
That is very clever. Not sure I would use it often myself, however I was thinking to have a bit longer legs on the base to provide a clamping surface to the workbench.
You drive me crazy. You keep making things to make your shop better. Then I have to make one cause its such a good idea. Im like 5 projects behind slow down. Great idea again keep up the good work
As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!
Brilliant. As we have seen many times before, you have innovative and clever designs that produce excellent results at a reasonable cost. You should definitely add these plans for sale; the design is simple enough but getting the dimensions right will be important, and it is another way to support your channel. I will likely make these myself; flush trimming edge banding on large panels is a regular challenge, and the beauty of this idea is that it will be easy to work on multiple panels at the same time, or work much more quickly. I don’t yet have a workbench I can easily clamp to vertically on the front (and my shop is too small to have more than one side available) and even then, I could only set up one board and one edge at a time plus the extra time to apply at remove clamps. Building a single cabinet with and edged door and two interior shelves is 16 edges and this will be a great timesaver. Thank you for all the work you do!
once again a well-thought-out solution to a real-world problem, you are quickly becoming a well-known innovator in woodworking circles. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us mear mortals.
Yes, please. I would LOVE the plans for these. I think they'd be more than handy in my workshop, but I'm nowhere near confident enough to make them just from seeing them here.
that specific clamp i dont think i will be using much but it is definetly a great invention and i do like plans like this, i enjoy the thought put into every detail, great work!
Such a simple and clever design. I think I'll make myself a slightly bigger version to hold doors so I can plane them down with ease. Thank you for sharing.
As always great project. I am amazed at the overall shop layout. The workbench and interal components is my favorite. Thanks for all you ideas and the entertainment of videos.
I am shure that even inestine would have been afraid of your genius love the design would definitely love to use this design thanks for al the amazing videos
Pretty cool! If you add a hook to one side and use either the end of a belt with the holes punched in it, or install grommets in the webbing to make the depth adjustable.
Nipper steel plate sheet bar girder grabbers work on the same mechanical principle. YOUR Idea is good, possible, and probably a commercial investment. it does not scratch doors laminates etc as finished work. excellent. ...many uses applications 10/10 thank you for demo-manuf eg.

I'm still learning woodwork as a hobby and your designs are legendary. Especially these clamps!

There aren't many new woodworking ideas on UA-cam lately. Glad to see some coming from SA!!
Thank you for coming back . Miss your videos. You are awesome!
I watch a ton of woodworking and DIY videos, and I've never seen anything like these clamps before. Just freaking brilliant!
This is something new to me ! This jig is someting every wood shop must have !
There are only a few that have a new video that I make time to stop what I'm doing and watch. Yours is in the top 3. Thank you for what you do.
Every tinkerer's dream. The maximum function/output in the smallest place possible for that, without being uncomfortable. Very good job.
You are very good at Creating new jigs it just amazes me how you come up with it I am from upstate New York
I don't think I've seen one of your projects that wasn't useful to the community! Nice design and solid work in a great video.
This would be great for hinging and hanging doors. I have always used a jig with a plywood base with feet that squeezed the door tightly as the weight pressed down.
Yours is a more elegant solution for sure. Kudos my man.
Great project. It is an tool/jig that would be used frequently. NEED PLANS !!!! Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
Good for working on door edges, installing butts, knobs, or planing the edge. Well done.
Vietnam traps giving us perfect ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Would love to have the plans for these clamps. Let me know if you post them someplace. Thanks. Great J.O.B.
Your ingenuity always impresses me. I look forward to more of your unique ideas.

I used to be in the door business. You are right. With some minor modifications to beef these clamps up. These would make great door jacks.
From a fellow South African, I applaud you for what you are accomplishing in such a small shop. A very creative mind for sure!
as a novice wood worker iv followed your work from early on. My techniques are more fine tuned and projects are getting neater, All i need now is a bigger shop.
Very ingenious. I can see myself doing that in my shop. An awesome invention.
Some of your ideas warrant a patent. This is one of them. This could be easily mass produced and sold.
Great idea. Perfect for machining doors
Yes, Plans, please! I'm making these this week but plans would be great I love this!
Brilliant idea. I think your creativity is outstanding
Bro u gotta be a genius. Some of the things you make are extremely easy but not thought of before. Love it!
really solid design - perhaps the strap could have a length adjustment on one end to allow setting the board at different heights dependent on the board width - this would expose board edge for planing etc
you beat me to the exact same thought!
Exactly! That way when edgebanding or similar task, the clamping tool jaws won’t be in the way.

I see these being used in many ways. Great work
It looks like the mandible notch in the front of the Millennium Falcon...cool. Great design and build and video sir...as always.
By adding wheels you would have a handy jig for moving 8x4 sheets.
Thats an interesting idea.
I love how original your projects are.
This is Awesome idea 👍 perfect for holding house doors, while routing out hinges/planning edges. Thank you
That was my first thought. Perfect for doors.
That is very clever. Not sure I would use it often myself, however I was thinking to have a bit longer legs on the base to provide a clamping surface to the workbench.
Amazing what can be done with a couple of simple parallelograms!
Wow.one of the best I have ever seen. Well done
I would absolutely love plans for this project! I think these clamps are brilliant.
Love this clamp, great design
That's brilliant and exactly the sort of workshop aid I would buy plans for. Great job.
Nice one Jean, That's gonna be a great addition to any workshop so plans would be great.
GREAT design and they don't take up much space on the wall. BRING ON THE PLANS! !! !!!
I love it. I could have used this, when I was resizing our bathroom door.
Your brilliant ingenuity, never ceases to amaze.
Great for holding a door when routing hinges. Thank you for this fantastic idea🙏🏻💜🇨🇦
Wel gedaan, ek sal wag vir jou tekeninge, en dan bou ek vir my 'n paar

That's a great clamp. I do a lot of doors and my clamp is OLD and a pain to use at times. I'm going to make one of these
This is an amazing design. Simple, functional, effective. I Will certainly consider putting a couple of these in my shop.
Pretty cool! If you add a hook to one side and use either the end of a belt with the holes punched in it, or install grommets in the webbing to make the depth adjustable.
Great idea, a pair of these are on my jig list to make on a weekend. Thanks.
Fantastic tool! Very clever, I like it a lot!!
