Great seeing you and Tony again. I was waiting for your next vlog so I can thank Tony for his help fixing the chapel roof! I sure appreciate both of you and how kind you are and how generous you are with your time and talent. ❤
Jane, you have a very good eye for spotting a bargain. I liked the picture you bought and I’m sure when it’s cleaned up it will be lovely. I love how you and Tony and Patrick and Stuart have become such good friends. I bet you were dying to get home and have a nice cup of tea. 😄😘🇨🇮
Thanks for taking us along on a fun day out. I love how you take your time slowly filming items so that we can all see what's on each table. It was great fun and your purchases were very nice. I'm interested in your other purchase we didn't get to see.
It was very nice coming to the brocant with you guys 😊 I love the painting you bought, it has a lot of character. Looking forward to the french doors ❤👋
That is a beautiful painting you bought. A cleaning would help to reveal even more beauty and detail. Those cherubs would be beautiful among the branches of a Christmas tree or mantel.
The head in a bucket was a Cosmetology School mannequin. That attractive arrow would make a lovely art piece for tabletop decoration. Thank you for sharing your time with us Jane. 😃
You filmed the Street brocant at exactly the right speed. I’m interested in staying in one of your rooms in Sept. what are the best days of the week to stay that street brocantes are going on.
Absolutely ! love the painting of the couples such a lovely image..! Trust me its worth more than 120 euros its old, great image. Give it a gentle clean and its will be stunning in a living room or entrance or bedroom. Its an investment piece. Loved to see it on ARS !
Many thanks Jane, we were on Antiques Road Show once.... a long long time ago... but with a French painting on glass we had brought back from our honeymoon trip to Lille!
❤ That is a great place to shop. Love the sconces on the ground in the beginning and the Cherub oil lamp. I think I wouldn't be able to walk away without purchasing something. You 4 make a great shopping quartet. Great friends make fun out of any journey taken together.
Good price on the painting nice subject matter it was very pretty, now to finding a frame! And you have a surprise and this time I’m not sure what it is!
Jane Yes, I loved walking and viewing the french antique fare. The large bask and artist painting were great finds. The painting looked like it was maybe painted by a master artist, I really loved it. The goulgorian bast was a great find too, after being fixed by Tony, it will be a real statement of design positioned in the perfect place by Tony. Patrick finds the perfect antique chandelier piece, to fix his family's much loved keepsake items, was wonderful for him also special. I liked the music box with the gilded gold bird cage, if I was really there in person, I would have bought it.
I love going to brocantes with you Jane. You give us enough time to actually look at items. It is probably good that I do not live in France, there are so many items that I would buy. You past over a brass? crucifix that I would have liked a closer look at, just out of interest. I love the picture you purchased and hope you can find a frame that will not over power the piece but will bring its beauty out. I look forward to seeing it cleaned. I was surprised you mentioned Patrick had a chateau, I understand that they tend to put prices up thinking that all chateau owners have a lot of money. A lovely day out with you all. Thank you for taking us along with you. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
Thanks Ronnie, yes Patrick and Stuart live in Chateau de Colombe about 10 minutes from us, they have a youtube channel about that, called Journey to the Chateau, link in our description . Actually that dealer, very generously, donated back the altar stone for Patrick and Stuart's chapel, so they don't all take advantage if you live in a Chateau!
@notquiteachateaudiy Yes, I follow Patrick and Stuart. Thank you for reassuring me that not all brocante owners / sellers increase prices when they know someone owns a chateau. I love watching you all. I guess I live vicariously through you all. I would love to be living in a small rural French community. At 72, a bit too old to have such a dream. I pray Tony is feeling better.

Thanks, we always loved France and property was cheap here. Also Tony ran his own steelwork company, it would have been difficult to retire in the UK as customers would still be calling him up!! Also the traffic was driving him nuts! It's much calmer here. What are your reason for wanting to retire here?
@ Thanks for answering, that’s a perfect reason!! We have always loved France and so we just took the plunge and bought the house, we have another year or so of work. Our house is in the northern creuse area
U asked the vender what that mystery piece was it had a bird on it on a chain he did answer you u replied ohhh but u didn't translate to us wat the man said that object was...so what was it?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that it would have been on a Parade flag pole.
A beautiful Picture Jane , I wonder what else you bought. There was a lost of nice things there, Thankyou for sharing Tony and Jane♥
We bought another project for Tony! but you'll have to wait a while for that one Annette x
BEST WISHES TO YOU, THANK YOU FOR THE VLOG

Yes always nice to have a cup of tea or a G and T
@@notquiteachateaudiy Oh definitely a nice large G&T for me.😄
Thanks for taking us along on a fun day out. I love how you take your time slowly filming items so that we can all see what's on each table. It was great fun and your purchases were very nice. I'm interested in your other purchase we didn't get to see.
Thanks Carole, you'll have to wait until spring probably, to find out what the other thing we bought was!!

Hi Jane and Tony! I love a good wander around a brocante with you guys! ❤️🇨🇦

You filmed the
Street brocant at exactly the right speed. I’m interested in staying in one of your rooms in Sept. what are the best days of the week to stay that street brocantes are going on.
Hi Sally and thanks. The street brocantes here are usually on the weekends, mostly Sundays. It would be lovely to see you here.
A lovely morning out, thanks for letting me tag along..
You’re always welcome Jackie😊
Jane. You do the best job filming at brocantes. The painting is very charming.
Thanks for saying that Diane, I do try x
Прекрасное видео! Очень хорошо, что показаны не тарелки и стаканы, как обычно снимают, а реально полезные веши. Большое спасибо!
Thanks Sergey
This could be Tony's next challenge to make a picture frame
You're right there Maureen, he's already wondering where to find the materials!
forget what they're looking for 😘
"je vous offre" ALWAYS
OMG Jane you’ve blown my mind. My whole childhood flashed before my eyes. The Magic Circle Club is French!!!!! I didn’t know, Sacré Bleu.

Thanks Lesley-Anne, the bird cage music box was a not very good reproduction, or I maybe would have bought that too xx
❤❤❤
Nice trip, I would spend so much money there, what was the bird on a chain object used for?
I think he said to put oil in it and light it. Could be to burn something to keep insects away??
Not sure Janeiro, but I think it was some kind of oil burner
That's what I thought he meant Susie but maybe for scented oils, it wouldn't hold much!!
Love the picture You bought.. Reminded me of you & Toni many many years from now
Wow, thank you, that made me giggle x

The arrow "thing" is from the top of a flag pole.
29:48 ANTIQUE OPHTHALMOSCOPE 🤓 ✅ pretty sure…
Okayyyyyy what's it for? eye test?
@ 🤷🏻♂️ I screenshot it reverse image search and really worked searching at that point finding things that matched and that’s what I came up with.

Great viewing of the car boot sale.
Can we ask, what made Tony and yourself move to France in the first place?
Thanks, we always loved France and property was cheap here. Also Tony ran his own steelwork company, it would have been difficult to retire in the UK as customers would still be calling him up!! All manor of things of no use to man nor beast 😂
Yes you have to look at a lot of toot, as Tony calls it, to find the good stuff
Pink gramophone horn 👏👏
U asked the vender what that mystery piece was it had a bird on it on a chain he did answer you u replied ohhh but u didn't translate to us wat the man said that object was...so what was it?
I'm not quite sure still Suzzanne, but it had something to do with oil, some kind of oil light I think
Should have bought the Tommy Cooper Red Fez………. It would suit Tony to wear down the local.
What and where was the last gramophone you saw
(As you said to Tony on film) ?
Is that on a vlog ?
yes Steve it was on my last brocante vlog, at Chateau D'ainay le Vieille, it was a mini portable gramophone
can you put translations for when the stall owner explain items please?
I wasn't sure what he said it was myself Jane, sorry. I think it was some sort of oil light!
Ok come on then Jane, what was that bird on a chain used for ?
oil lamp I think was the explanation Steve, but I didn't understand exactly what he was saying!
Bonjour
I must be last tonight 😳
yes, definitely not first this time x
Was interested in the brocante but the chuckling after most sentences was quite annoying.
Oh well 🤣😂🤣 the mute button is right there…📴🔇
sorry Priscilla, but yes, you could turn me down or mute
Love the picture You bought.. Reminded me of you & Toni many many years from now
🤗
