Don't know if anyone's mentioned it before you watched this, but the band "Blouse" is a parody of britpop band Pulp, with Purves Grundy being a really well-done impression of frontman Jarvis Cocker.
The late John McCririck who said there shouldn't be a show, was a horse racing broadcaster who would announce the betting odds, and would argue with the crowd on live TV. Well worth a review.
My friends had me watch this years ago and it blew my mind as we were having a smoke...a lot of British references, they really had some people believing them
I really do enjoy watching these After Work Reaction video's. Its interesting to see how one of our American cousins reacts to our British comedy programmes!! This guy (sorry I didnt catch his name) is extremely likeable and his laugh is just brilliant.
@@AfterWorkReactions Hi Josh! Im so glad that my wife and I discovered your UA-cam channel, we really enjoy your videos and watch them together. Thankyou for taking the time to reply to me! 👍😁🇬🇧
I found your channel from your reaction to the Ricky Gervais show and 8 out of 10 cats and I've loved your videos since. I'm not sure if you knew but sadly earlier today Sean Lock passed.. I doubt it will be on American news but Ricky Gervais tweeted it earlier today. Rip
Yo this isn't far off from entertainment now. Making a murderer, Tiger King all those murder shows of snapped. Sure its not Sutcliffe the Musical but I'm telling you people would buy tickets in 2022
Noel Edmonds and Clive Anderson were late 70s, early 80s british light entertainers, if i remember right when that "News alert" happened everybody did for a second think it was real
You should check out Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere (Peter Kay). It's a spinoff from Phoenix Nights (which I wasn't a big fan of) and its hilarious. Keep watching Red Dwarf as well as it gets funnier, as does Peep Show. But I'd definitely recommend Max and Paddy for a witty, deceptively crude and very funny series of scenarios the two characters find themselves in. It's only the one season but it's side splitting.
The last thing you wanna do is look into Hyndley and Brady . . . They were two of the worst killers of all time mate. I was unlucky enough back in the 80's to read some of their recordings they made of their horrific acts as part of my Psychology degree. I have never, ever been able to cast it from my mind. Do not go there! Read a basic overview maybe but go no further mate. I've been watching your stuff for awhile man and diggin it, it's all been good brother. Brass Eye was/is fantastic but do not go down the rabbit hole! Take care man, love all your toys, peace n love
For anyone offended by Brass Eye material, you have to understand; that it was the 1990s. The 1980s were not long behind us; and anyone who lived through the 80s can tell you it was a crazy time (and particularly in Britain). Things were moving forward in the 90s, with progressive ideas being developed. The characters in Brass Eye say outrageous things to demonstrate *JUST HOW OUTRAGEOUS OR IGNORRANT THOSE ATTITUDES OR OPINIONS WERE!* In those days many celebrities were prepared (or forced) to say whatever was put in front of them, no matter how stupid or offensive it was; and Brass Eye exposed that horrible conduct superbly.
John McCririck was regularly ripped on here. For your info he was a tv horse racing analyst, why he didnt click on he was having the mick taken out of him is beyond me, he was being asked to comment on drugs and crime but has nothing to do with Horse racing, mad
I can't find the next episode... Of course as of this time almost all of the show has been scrubbed from UA-cam. No episodes and no reactions other than your 5.

I like to think the person who told him to look up Myra didn’t even fathom that he wouldn’t know who Pulp are.
It's a parody so close it hurts🤣
Oh ok thanks bud I will have to look them up, I don't know either band.
@@AfterWorkReactions ua-cam.com/video/yuTMWgOduFM/v-deo.html
I was agog at the quality of the Pulp parody. Chris Morris is comedy god
Peadogedon is the best episode
It's so good it's classed as a special! Although I thought your fave ep would have been War from The Day to Day
And he's Father Stone, played by Michael Redmond
He's fine
Sean Lock just died aged 58. RIP legend
I'll miss you saying things aren't as good as Sex and Drugs. :D
Sean Lock has passed away of cancer, age 58 :(
I just want to let you know Sean Lock has just passed away from cancer. It’s just come up on my newsfeed. How terribly sad. RIP you legend

Also to be relied upon for reactionary comments to journalists
Thanks Josh, love your reactions 👍
Glad you like them!
So glad you found brass eye.
Check out the day today
Probably should have watched the "Common People" music video, by Pulp, as well!

“Fucking bird” 😂

It's hilarious that nobody would bat an eye if Netflix came out with "Sutcliffe the Musical"
You need to watch the special. It was so funny and breaking the limits of acceptability that it was front page news and no one ever went so far again.
Noel Edmonds and Clive Anderson were late 70s, early 80s british light entertainers, if i remember right when that "News alert" happened everybody did for a second think it was real
Oh ok interesting thank you for the info!
The only accurate words in your comment were; "Noel Edmonds", "Clive Anderson", and "british light entertainers".
The Young offenders is a brillant Irish comedy
I will add that to my list, thank you for the recommendation.
...more Fawlty and Blackadder please mate

I know its been mentioned but RIP Sean Lock, only 58.
You should watch BBC's Ideal. Really good surreal comedy show about a drug dealer in his flat with all sorts of strange characters
Had a quick look, didn't see it. I think it is time for you to start watching 'Friday Night Dinner'
