Another great reaction. What Brass Eye did so damn well was showing how little integrity some celebrities have when it comes to public service announcements or shilling shit.
It’s worth remembering, the celebrities taking part in this program had no idea they were having the piss taken out of them by Morris, they actually thought all this was genuine...invisible lead soup 🤣
I almost feel sorry for the celebrities because most of them are just trying to help with what they think is a genuine problem, but the things they unquestioningly repeat make this hard.
Doubtful, I think they mostly do it for their own profile. No research into the issue, no basic fact-checking, just turn up to read lines written by somebody else and some charity points on their public record.
Look around you is great and even more surreal than Brass Eye. You should do some Garth Marenghis Darkplace too! You said you wanted to do some Matt Berry and this is peak Berry.
The main guy in this Chris Morris had a role on the IT crowd as the managing director. A number of people from that show appear in Brass Eye such as Simon Pegg appearing at the end of the Paedogeddon special episode.
I’m from near LeedsJosh and it’s funny out of all Americans reactions videos for UK comedy your only one that not only gets it you explain your reaction if you don’t understand the regional jokes you ask your subscribers! You laughing at what I laugh at makes me laugh more as we are visually different we have the same humour you are the GOAT of Black Americans reacting to mainly white UK comedy ! Live long and Prosper Josh.
Amazing, simply amazing, and somehow even more relevant now.I mean look at the twisted-brain-wrongs of those who believe the earth is flat. Also the 'Innocent or Guilty, Innocent or Guilty' bit is one of the guiltily funniest things I've ever seen.
Have just sat and binge watched a whole load of your reactions. V funny. Good to see an American fully getting British humour. You're a good man. Keep laughing:)
Celebrities will do and say anything to improve their public profile, absolutely hilarious what he gets them to do. Love your reaction, this is very much a cult show and not everyone gets it or likes it. Glad you like it Josh
The Peadogedden episode is the funniest. And you must watch The Day Today at some point. Characters like Ted Maul originated here. And it's worth watching just to see him bullying Partridge and Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan.
The hammer guy was Steven Berkoff, a fine actor that you will have seen play KGB Colonels etc (Octopussy, Firefox (I think)). He clearly twigged immediately and played it for laughs, the only celebrity featured in the whole series that did.
iirc in the chris morris biography 'disgusting bliss' it says that russel grant and laurence llewelyn-bowen also twigged that they were being set up during filming, so their bits weren't used. I think it also said carol vorderman did too but not 100% about that...while since I read it

I’d love to see what you think of Look Around You, it’s a weird series done in the style of 1980s educational programmes.
I will have to check that out bud!

Do you think you are British enough yet for Look Around You? It riffs quite a bit on how television programmes were used in education in the 70s/80s
Too right a testicle can feel pain.
Stephen Hawking was indeed something of a ladies man his favourite position was.
