This is how I stream live to UA-cam using the Rodecaster Pro and ATEM Mini Pro. I’ve listed all equipment and cables that I use here (irixguy.com/St.... However, please contact me via Facebook.com/IrixGuy if there is something specific that you are looking for but I failed to include on my website. Thank you!
Using this configuration, I stream to UA-cam Live using the Rodecaster Pro for professional audio and the ATEM Mini Pro to maintain the connection to UA-cam Live and perform chroma key and other tasks. Although this equipment may seem like a significant initial investment, I've been able to avoid subscription fees and also achieve superior audio quality, video quality and stream health. I currently use Skype to incorporate live face-on-video guests as part of the live stream but other video conferencing tools can be used too (the Rodecaster Pro behaves like a "microphone" and "speakers," when connected to the computer's USB port). To make things better, I can connect a smartphone via Bluetooth or cabled connection and allow guests to call in! Marrying Rodecaster Pro and ATEM Mini Pro creates the ultimate live streaming setup in my opinion! The Rodecaster Pro makes broadcast-quality audio easily doable and adds an abundance of audio inputs. The ATEM Mini Pro maintains a reliable connection for the UA-cam Live stream and adds an abundance of video inputs. I performed a lot of research and I don't think that there is a better live streaming setup available today for people that don't own their own TV or radio station. #RodeCasterPro #ATEMMiniPro

I have watched alot of youtube videos that discuss how to integrate a Rodecaster Pro and an ATEM Mini Pro. This video is the best one that I viewed that covers the entire setup from soup to nuts in 26 minutes. Anyone looking for a clear and simple explanation of how to do this integration should view this video. Kudos to you Mr. IrixGuy!
Thank so much! If you have any ATEM questions/curiosities, please feel free to ask and I’ll try to whip up a video response.
@@IrixGuy Dude, you did a superlative job. Thanks again for a great tutorial!
A simple 6.3 to 3.5 stereo cable through the headphone output gives the best results
Thank you very much for showing your the Rodecaster Pro and ATEM Mini Pro.
Thanks for watching and I welcome you to subscribe and check out my other videos too!
This setup is one of the best out there... Thanks.
I agree...it definitely is! Thank you!
GREAT JOB!

How do you loop a custom video inside your AppleTV? That would be really helpful to learn. Thank you man!
AirPlay a video from a mac to the AppleTV. You set it to loop within the mac’s video player.
@@IrixGuy Thank you!! I believe that you mentioned that towards the end of your video. If you do that, can you still use your MacBook Pro into one of your HMDI sources on your ATEM Mini? Or would AirPlaying and looping a video would take over your MacBook Pro’s output entirely?
In other words: would the AirPlayed looping video be just an independent video source to your AppleTV without disturbing your MacBook Pro’s output screen?
Good information, thanks for sharing.
My pleasure and please be sure to subscribe to my channel and check out my video playlist full of ATEM Mini Pro tutorial videos. #ATEM
Thank you very much!
Thank you!
You need the cloudlifter for that mic, and use the recording option to be able to make short to the point clips of the live broadcast
Thanks a lot. It was very informative. Thank you for that. I have a quick question: how can I use ATEM MINI PRO TO dj mic 2 like any wireless microphone also if I want to just a hand microphone with a wireless feature with a big transmitter how can I connect to the computer like people in Zoom can hear it what people in the conference room can hear I hope make sense
“ATEM Mini Pro Corporate Presentation Tutorial.” Subscribe to my channel and watch that video. It’ll likely answer a lot of your ATEM Mini Pro questions! Best of luck!
@IrixGuy thanks 😊
Thanks a lot for your help! It sure was hidden! Greetings from Lima-Peru!
No problem and I’m happy that this helped!
Really appreciate this video. I have the Rodecaster pro 2 any link on how to connect the Atom on it or it is similar? Just want to make sure. Thanks
No problem. I only own this Rodecaster Pro but assume that the new version would be the same or similar. Subscribe and check out my ATEM Mini Pro and Rodecaster Pro video playlists. I explain how I setup everything within those videos.
Thanks IrixGuy. Great content for helping us new guys. I need some clarification if possible . It looks like your running a USB C to HDMI out of your laptop to the input HDMI of your second monitor and then HDMI output from that monitor to an Input HDMI on the ATEM Mini Pro. Is that how you and your auddience can see what's on monitor 2 and still be able to run your ATEM controller from your laptop? Thanks again for the tutorials!
My pleasure! So ATEM Mini Pro "OUT" goes to my monitor on my desk (not my laptop's internal monitor). Laptop USB-C to goes to "CAMERA 2" on ATEM Mini Pro. When I select "CAMERA 2" on ATEM Mini Pro, it shows my extended desktop. I look at the computer monitor on my desk to see what the ATEM is outputting. In "camera 2's" case, it is outputting that "virtual monitor" of sorts. Just full screen "camera 2" within ATEM Software Control so see that virtual monitor full screen. Make sense? If not, I'll whip up a tutorial to address this particular question. What the heak, I'll create a video anyway =) GREAT QUESTION! I'm always looking for ATEM Mini Pro tutorial video ideas, so if you have any additional questions please ask! I hope to have this tutorial video up within a few days. #ATEMMiniPro
@@IrixGuy Sounds good. Thanks for taking the time to respond. What I was trying to do was to live stream a podcast interview on Zoom. My objective is to have the audience see the Zoom screen(which is on my laptop) while the interview is going on, and in the background I could be working on the ATEM controller (on my laptop) choosing still shots to switch to when needed. All of the above doesn't seem to be an option with your suggested setup. Maybe I'm missing something? Also note I'm using the ATEM USB C out for recording. I plan on breaking that content up into micro content to share on other platforms.
You had me at the Submariner clock! Sub’d
Thanks for the sub!
Hey man, super video. Congrats. I have the same setup, however I have a macbook pro 2012/13, USB. What adapter do you recommend to connect it to the atem HDMI. Please advise. Thanks in advance. A make and model would be appreciative
That does not have USB-C. Does it have the Thunderbolt (older style) port? There are likely a lot of those to HDMI cables available if so.
Thunderbolt it is. Thanks man
@@alexjeanmarie3492 Search my website for Thunderbolt to HDMI. That type of cable will likely work. Cheers!
Hey buddy how are you ?
Do you still own your
Typhoon H ?
I still have mine. And I still love it.

Good day! That’s awesome! I haven’t flown that thing in years but that’s great that yours is still working! I wonder what’s coming next in the drone space?
@@IrixGuy
I can't even imagine what's coming down the road but I'm sure it's all going to be fantastic.
Have a look at my big crash several years back You can skip through it if you like.

Why did you connect rodecaster with atem through L + R output and did not use output for headphone for example?
Great question! It was my understanding that it was best practice. Should I need to connect 4 headphones, I have all 4 headphone jacks freed up. #RodeCasterPro
Awesome video, Thank you so much for this. Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you! Are there any topics that you’d like me to try to address within upcoming videos? #RodecasterPro #ATEMMiniPro
I realize I am quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
@Deangelo Dario flixportal :)
@Beau Jerry thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it !!
@Deangelo Dario no problem :D
Nice & Thanks :)

DREAM SETUP ....AND BMPCC4K
I may actually add a second camera. The only thing holding me back from a Blackmagic camera is that it's not Sony E-Mount. All of my lenses are Sony E.
Do you use software or hardware to stream your video to Facebook and other platforms.
I used to use Wirecast software but now I use this hardware and don’t have to pay a subscription. It seemed expensive up front but paying off quickly and then not having a paid subscription is so much better. Also, it’s using its own hardware and is not putting pressure on my computer’s system resources. You can find all live streaming equipment like I use within this video’s description. If there is anything that you need but don’t see listed, please ask. Thank you! #ATEM
Hi. Thank you for your video. Just a quick question: How your MacBook Pro connected to the Atem Mini Pro? I cannot see any cable connection there, but you can use the Atem Software... how?
I have the ATEM Mini Pro plugged into my home network and my laptop communicates with that same network via WiFi.
@@IrixGuy thanks mate. Works great
Hii, If we connect atem mini pro directly to an external monitor without using any pc or laptop in between, can we fullfill all the mentioned below purposes-:
1. Can we make a large external monitor into multiview splitter through atem mini pro? (Without using monitor or pc)
2. Would it be allow to switch between different camera angles on large monitor and can we have preview functionality? (Without using monitor or pc)
3. Can we record footages from all 4 cameras at the same time into ssd through atem mini pro or we need to do it one by one? (Without using monitor or pc)
4. And can we record the audio if we connect the rodecaster pro to atem mini pro? No more handy rercorders or field recorders required like h6 or f6? (Without using monitor or pc). Kindly put a light on this Thanks
Note - No live stream and podcast purpose eventhough want to make this setup if above mentioned purposes can be fulfilled.
Check out my ATEM Mini Pro video playlist. I have a lot of videos that will hopefully help to answer your questions.
Hi -- quick question - im getting a buzzing sound coming through the audio when i connect the atem and the rodecaster. any idea?
Subscribe and check out my other RodeCaster Pro videos. I have a separate video that explains step-by-step how I resolved my RodeCaster Pro’s buzzing problem.
Great video and very informative, thank you for that. I have a quick question, are there any benefits getting the RodeCaster Pro if I have the Tascam 24SD mixer for doing Poscast?
Thank you.
I’ve never used that but RodeCaster has APHEX processing and gives the audio that “broadcast-quality” and commanding sound. #RodeCasterPro
@@IrixGuy thank you for your reply.
RodeCaster Pro is amazing! Really really like it! Thanks for the vid. Ive been considering procuring the ATEM Mini Pro for a while, you've convinced me. Thanks!
What kind of lights are you using? I didn’t see it in your list of equipment for this video?
Expand this video's description and then click the link there. The lights are the 8th item, underneath the "Core Equipment" heading.
@@IrixGuy don’t see the lights
Sold me on rodecaster pro to pair with atem mini pro. Skip the subscriptions, whenever possible
Yeah, a few bucks here and there adds up. Please check the link within this video’s description when you order. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have the same configuration as you, with rodecaster pro and atem mini pro. But for a few days I can no longer see the TV that I had connected for the multiview. I can't understand what he touched. Can't you give me an indication to get everything back up and running correctly. Thank you very much
Have you checked the INPUT on the TV to be certain that it didn't change? Do you have a loose HDMI cable connection? Do you have another TV or monitor that you can connect to see if the problem follows the ATEM Mini Pro or if the problem follows the TV?
@@IrixGuy I have tried on other tvs but the problem remains. I have an HDMI connection. I don't wish I touched anything on settings or connected cameras that made me change settings.
Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Also, have you updated the ATEM Mini Pro’s firmware?
@@IrixGuy Yes I tried with 3 other HDMI cables but the result does not change. The version of the control software is 8.5.3.
can't find the link for your LED lighting...
Top link within this video's description and then underneath the "Core Equipment" heading on my webpage. If you can't find it please message me via IrixGuy on Facebook and I'll happily reply with the link to that and/or any other equipment that you're looking for!
Can you just use WiFi for the network?
ATEM Mini Pro has a wired connection only. If you wanted to make the ATEM Mini Pro device itself WiFi, there are some third-party adapters that would be plugged in to accomplish that. Feel free to message my IrixGuy Facebook page and I’ll be happy to share a link.
Hello.
Can you help me?
I did all the settings just like you do here but I'm having a problem.
I detect the sound of my voice but I don't hear the voices of people who are livestream with me and I don't hear the sound from my laptop (youtube for example).
I made livestream in streamyard.
I must be making a mistake. Can you help me?
Thanks.

I use ATEM Mini Pro’s network connection to stream to UA-cam. It’s important to have the two monitor outputs (audio) running to the MIC1 or MIc2 on ATEM with “line mode” enabled/MIC1 also enabled within ATEM. Don’t forget to connect the Rodecaster Pro to the computer with USB cable and select RodeCaster Pro as speaker and mic within Skype, etc.
Quick question, I am looking into adding a Atem Mini, or Atem Mini Pro. The question is, when running the Rodecaster into the Atem, I have read about a delay due to HDMI having a slight delay, and the audio being off by 3-6 frames. How do you overcome that?
STAY TUNED! I'm going to film and upload a video now to respond to your question. #RodecasterPro #ATEMMiniPro
IrixGuy's Adventure Channel Thanks so much!!
No problem. The video is exporting now and I hope to have it live on my channel within an hour.
IrixGuy's Adventure Channel Do you feel I would be ok with the Atem Mini Vs the Pro version if I am ok without having the preview option on a monitor?
The video is live now ua-cam.com/video/JTAe1lj25Yc/v-deo.html . If you discover any additional questions, please feel free to ask! #ATEMMiniPro
Wonderful video indeed. Please I would like to have a set-up like this. Kindly give me your email or any other platforms to have further discussions thank you and keep it up
You can find all equipment link within this video’s description. I’m still enjoying using this. It’s the best live streaming gear that I’ve used to date.
Can't find the Rode Podmic anywhere...
Expand this video’s description and then click the link there. I have a link to it on that page. If you can’t find it, feel free to message me on IrixGuy Facebook and I’ll reply with the link.
Do not need a Rodecaster when having a ATEM Mini
RodeCaster Pro is not required but it adds broadcast-quality audio plus multiple mic inputs. I do a lot of UA-cam Live shows, so RodeCaster Pro is a must for my use case.
I'm watching this and just seeing prices 🫠
Professional audio and video isn't cheap.....especially in today's wrecked economy =(
