Thank you so much for everything you do. My physiotherapist legitimately just today recommended this specific video so that I could show it to my partner so he could help me with my passive range of motion exercises. I had surgery a week ago
I am 8 weeks out of injury. No surgery this time. Broke humerus & small tear in rotator cuff. These movements helped the first time so I'm back! Thanks for all you do guys!!!
I appreciate your videos, On April 11 I broke 8ribs,Collarbone,and my Scapula on my left side. Watching your videos on shoulder rehabilitation definitely were helpful. Especially now during the Covid pandemic and after coming home a week after and most Drs were only doing appts through phones. It’s like u were more helpful then the whole medical staff that saw me since day one because this injury was ALL healing on its own.
Thanks. This video helps. I just had a fractured scapula from a bicycle accident almost a month ago and was the 1% who needed surgery along with wearing a shoulder sling. Hopefully I recover well and soon
Hey I know this is TOTALLY RANDOM but could you do a VIDEO on rehab L.T for ppl who had rotator cuff removed totally ( I've had a total shoulder replactment w/ rotary cuff removal humerus replacement with also a new elbow) my arm is shorter then other arm but I would love to develop better strength HOW DO I DO THT ?? And some ROM if possible I know I'm not reaching over my head I have adapted my life but HELP I've used your videos on knees your great so plz help I'm 2yrs post-op I know I'm lucky I can write & feed myself😅😊 thank god for mirco surgery but tiny buttons and supporting my weight on tht arm like with a yoga pose IMPOSSIBLE HELP!
Mr Bob& Brand I have soldier pain since one year I am taking medicines also doing phisyo but not getting cured.. could you please advise... there is also swelling in my solder
My pain is back three months after my shot for shoulder impingement, and I have been doing shoulder exercises. Can I use a 2.5 pound dumbbell for the pendulum exercise? Anyone have a comment? I have only a small tear in the rotator cuff, so it is just basically tendon disease and inflammation.
Hi have quick question I just had total shoulder replacement. I'm 42 years of age way to young from the research i found out . it was from car accident.im currently in physical therapy I'm going on 9 weeks I know physical therapy supposed to be challenging I love working out I was tought good pain and bad pain not sure on rehabilitation. Is it normal to feel sharp pain or is there some exercise you have to get by to work out that pain to get better .??
Low grade pain" soreness" yes but not SHARP pain I've had count them 3 shoulder replactments same arm fall from a porch onto a stone walking path finally had a shoulder Humorous elbow replacement 2yrs ago so I've had alot of shoulder PT 💪 😊
Hi. Even though my question is not relevant to your new video, I still decided to ask, since my comment has more possibility to be read. Hehe. My question is about sciatica, which I have also seen your suggestions about stretches. I would like to ask, is it ok to workout, such as dancing , even with sciatica pain? And do you think that prolonged dancing, or cycling, will cure sciatica? Or will the workout make it worst? I hope you will reply to my message. Is anybody here have any suggestions or experiences? Thank you. :)
Thanks fellas! I’ve been doing pendulums for two weeks following right rotator cuff surgery and wanted to make sure I was doing them correctly! Your vid indicates I am! Again, thanks!
Hi Bob and Brad you people are awesome, i got a bankart repair surgery 2 and half months back, i am improving in all areas except external rotation....external rotation is very limited almost 5 degrees...any suggestion would be really appreciated both of u
Hi I am a week out of from my bankart surgery. Apparently I wasn’t doing my pendulum swings correctly so my doctor just had me sign up for physical therapy theory when I do try to do my pendulum swings I feel a lot of stiffness in my shoulder. In the beginning I was very hesitant to move my shoulder and arm But now I am more brave and move it with more frequency. Can you share with me what has been your experience I would appreciate that thank you
Hi, did this sensation resolve itself. I was told to do these exercises within 1st 2 weeks post op, no minimum 10 days stuff. The foward pendulum swing i find it alnost feels like partial dislocation then when i stand up in shock/reflex the tendons strain/pinch and jar. Did this resolve itself or were you told/find out what/why it was happening?
With the pendulum, my should pinches and almost feels like it's locking if it gets more than a few inches "forward". It can be fairly painful. Is this common? I do the chair push exercise and can get the arm pretty high without issue. But it's like the weight of my arm in the pendulum pulls it out and it doesn't like moving. Any advice here?
Shaun, did this pinching/locking resolve itself or stop. I'm 2-3 weeks post shoulder op and have had this pinch/lock sensation twice when doing forward pendulum swing. It almost feels like it disclocates partially and my body responds/reflexes by standing straight up and i end up the shoulder tendons seems to pinch or strain and feel sore/jarred afterwards and causes anxiety that something isnt right. Do you recall if you were told what was happening and did it resolve itself
@@Maria-qq4tv i'm about 10 weeks now. It did happen a couple more times. I just avoided doing the things that brought this reaction on stopped the pendulums. Surgeons and physio couldnt explain and werent concerned. I thought i was loosing suction in labram for a split second. Or my pec was so tight from sling position it would cramp and pull my arm involuntarily and cause nerve or tendon pinch. I'm still super cautious and dubious about it. But over time bit by bit you gain greater range of movement and control and strength and confidence. The muscles are so weak and arm feels too heavy for them. No need to push too hard too early tho. The only thing that is going slower than hoped is external rotation. This may take a little longer to rectify. Good luck!!
@@gunlean7738 I suppose the pinching I feel isn't as bad as yours was. Sometimes I do the Pendulum and I hear a clicking sound and then I feel much better... But when it doesn't its more difficult.

Woah! I just broke 8 ribs and my wrist on the right side, and my scapula on the left side. Crazy. How are you a year later?

I shattered my humerus bone and it had to be removed the head and neck of the bone. This exercise really helps. Getting ready for next surgery.
This is by far the best video! Thanks so much guys! Just had surgery!
Thanks for this video! I had total shoulder replacement. I was having trouble with the passive range of motion. This video helped so much!
I don't even have any pain anymore, these are just fun to watch
Thank you so much dr bob and dr bred!

You say it should be a comfortable relaxing strech , what if its not?

Thanks! Can you do a video on how to do shoulder mobes. I need my husband to do for my frozen shoulder.
Try acupuncture.
Does this exercise actually undo the impingement? I mean, does this make space between the bone and the tendon so the tendon isn't impinged?
I guess they don’t answer questions

Im having the same issue. Has it gotten better over time?
