Hey guys, Today we're looking at a fantastic Swedish plane that you all have to know and fly, the J-22B. Had a lot of fun with this thing! Hope you enjoy! and dont forget to like, comment, share and subscribe for more! Hope you have a great day :)
Hi
Have you ever done a video on the La 15?
hey! no i didnt review it yet.
when you say "at sea levep" just how far off of the sea are you? im just curious how close do the water you are when you say "sea level"
Those Swedish planes are really aggressive, I was impressed when I first saw their stats. I wish they had more variety of 4.0-5.0s planes tho other than the Premium Pyormseskeushajudfhsfuusayfa313452
Aggressive
You mean, overpowered and inaccurate to story data?
@@kingghidorah8106 It's actually underpowered (and thus under-tiered imo) compared to historical and contemporary sources. It's climb rate, turn rate, and top speed are much less than what it's supposed to be.
im sure they will expand the tree eventually hellcat!
@@nikhilpaidipally921 IDK probably that plane but the rest of Swedish propellers are brutally overpowered
Overpowered. I'm waiting for a Nerf update before I play again. There are a lot of other games out to take my time.
When the J22-B was at 2.0, I used it exclusively to grind all the way through to the A21R-B. It only took about 3 weeks of casual play without a Talisman or Premium. Tier 3 at 2.0 made a phenomenal clubber and excellent for researching, but incredibly OP. I'm glad they bumped it up to 2.7.
yeah, its very strong at 2.7, i missed the 2.0 days.
It's 3.0 now and I got it today. Not loving it up here but it would be very fun at 2.7. (The A model not the B model)
4 now ;/
@@marinman3626oh how good you had it
Ur effort and dedication is unmatched thank you jengar
A new video! :) This was a nice coincidence since I've been grinding Swedish nowadays. Thank you for the review Jengar.
you're welcome!
Hey man, I just wanted to say that you rock. You make informative, good quality content at a decent pace. And you also care about your community. I've seen you reply to comments on a 3 year old video this week. Whenever I want to know more about a plane or how to fly a plane I always check if you've done a video on it first. Keep it up:-)
ty sir, i appreciate it :) not much use to have a community if you dont interact with them.
Good plane, good review! Keep em coming!
Ty, will do :)
Hey Jengar, your great review made me want to go and grind the Swedish tree, eventhough it's only been 2 weeks since I started playing WT and I'm already grinding 5 trees at once...I will have to make difficult choices at some point. Anyway I'm looking forward to your new project !
Good luck and o7 for you courage to grind 5 nations at once. I did 3 nations at once and it was confusing due to the difference in performance each of the nations has imo. You will have tons of fun especially if you follow Jengar's advices.
Stick to 1-2 trees bro. You’ll spend YEARS. Playing catch up if you want higher tier
@@conorf8091 I chose to do it that way to get to know the planes and the matchups better, and the main problem that I encounter is silver lions. From Tier 3 onwards costs start to increase seriously. I might reduce the number of trees in the future but atm I prefer to learn the trends in the differents trees at the same time as I learn how to fly properly. Thanks for your advice !
@@Ghareeban Actually I like to switch from tree to tree while grinding as it makes the whole process less redundant and more fun. I hope it helps me to improve my pilot skills faster as well. The fact that you can find reviews for basically all the planes (TY Jengar) helps a lot when trying to understand each new aircraft you fly. Anyway thank you for the courage you send me, I appreciate it !
good way to broadly grind and get experience in lots of planes early on. It will teach you a lot. And better to arrive at jets as an experienced pilot :)
J22 looks really similar to the Fw 190
Hessel Bleeker Both have insane firepower too.
@@CyberRelic280 desing wise i mean
Hessel Bleeker I know, I was just pointing out another similarity they share.
true that. not a bad thing to look like ;)
Thought I was the only one who thought this when i first saw it hahahaha
Hey jengar ive been working on the swedish tech tree and was wondering if you could do a J29F review? Great vid!
Eventually mate, im not there yet though :(
I really cant wait to research it!!
its a damn fun aircraft.
Nice video! I really like this plane too, reminds me of a little Hellcat but maybe with better firepower.
ty sir, much more maneuverable then the hellcat though ;)
I got j22 a and j22b few days ago. Those are great planes and the firepower are great. A few shots and you distroye the planes.
agreed, their great!
That's a sunrise, you're looking east on the compass when you said that :D
Doesn't really matters, but i always look at the compass when the sun is near the horizon just to know if it's morning or afternoon haha!
i should have thought of that ;)
Have you thought about doing the jet version of the j21 i think called j21ra also could you do a energy fighting vid cause i need help with energy fighting thanks for all the good vids
the rest of the swedish line is definitely in the pipeline.
Swedish 13.2 mm Akan m/39 > Japanese 20 mm Type 99 Model 1
perfectly balanced, as all things should be
also, am i the only one who wishes we had the the pre-production J26 concept that had 6 of these machine guns instead of the regular license built 12.7mm M2 brownings it has in game, like, throw it in the tech tree at 4.7 or maybe even 5.0 and it'd be amazing for filling out the tech tree
Well yes, the 13.2s are historically superior to Japanese 20 mils. The 13.2s sported a very high amount of explosive filler and fire rate, and were classified as cannons, not machine guns. In comparison, the Japanese 20mils were based on the much older and inferior Oerlikon 20mm. It's not all about size.
@@Alexandros11 yes yes i get it isn't purely size, however clearly you didn't play with Japanese 20mm canons before they were buffed, they were hardly better (or in some cases even worse) then most 12.7mm machineguns, like, i can not understate how bade they were, a lot of the time the damage model wouldn't even register it's explosive shells as having any AOE damage at all. However since they were buffed a few months back they have became decently usable.
@@user-Xx0xxxxx In regards to the thing you said about the J-26 with 6 13.2s, as far as I can tell that's just completely ahistorical. The Swedish switched to American 12.7 bullets because they were far cheaper to manufacture and easier to get their hands on, so I don't think there was every a J-26 with those weapons.
@@Alexandros11 again i specified pre-production concept, it's not like it would be the first time warthunder would have added in a vehicle that was drawn up but never made, and the swedish tech tree really needs flushing out, maybe it's not quite as bad now, but again, this is an older comment, it's tech tree was even smaller then than it is now
@@user-Xx0xxxxx War Thunders policy is clear, they do add aircraft that are prototypes but only as long as some equipment specific to that aircraft was produced. An exception is the R2Y2 because Japan desperately needed a gap filling. As far as I can tell you are just making up the 13.2mm weaponry? If it was actually proposed then of course it would be allowed, but if not then - no.
Glad that you are back. Can you please make a video of how to fly FW, tricks and tips?
FW? you mean 190?
@@jengar6258 yes u2 for example.
i have reviews up on most if not all 190's ;) check my 190 playlist!
@@jengar6258 Believe me Jengar, i have watched the majority of your videos. I just wanted a new one, to show us some tricks since this plane is a tricky one. ;)
fair enough :)
Definitely an amazing plane, one of my favourites in the Swedish line. I was able to rack up about 5 kills and 3 assists with it, all practically back to back.
agreed.
The HE round...
Performance and numerical information :
Bullet weight ....................42 grammes
Powder weight..................15 grammes
Explosive charge weight...3.5 grammes
Initial speed .....................900 m/secondes
The rocket sensibility of the explosive shell cal.13,2 mm is such that the impact on a sheet of paper of 0.1mm thick is enough to set off the mecanism
A lot of fun with the A and B ! ;D
absolutely :)
Hey Jengar could you review a Mörkö-Morane? Interesting premium plane, not expensive and seems to be really good at where it is. Would love to see your opinion on that one!
definitely :)
Could you re review the he 219 jengar?
its on the to do list, but the list is long ;)
which ammo used
I remember when this plane came out it was almost invincible.
its still stronk!
This thing like a minigun. I will got it some days in. Witch belts you using?
airtargets i think ;)
Ty :3
Now there is a small detail you may have missed. This was at BR 2.0 initially. I got into beta testing almost straight away, and I felt like a monster shooting down all the helpless reserve biplanes...
2.0 wasnt the right br ;)
@@jengar6258 You are absolutely right. It was seal clubber extraordinaire, no less than that.
now its just very good, but its not alone with that classification at this new br.
Jengar this plane is now 4.0 think you can do an updated review?
not anytime soon tbh.
@@jengar6258 fair enough, it would be a pain to even bother with it. But at least we can still have fun with myskrys deadly .50cals : )
Can you do the La 15?
not anytime soon im afraid.
You should try it know at 3.7. I'm not a bad players but, I cannot use this plane at all at 3.7.
fair enough, would have to revisit, although i dont know when i get the time for that.
This plane is a nightmare to fight
it is indeed!
What music in this video
Stage dive by silent partner
Yeah, I have to say the Swedish heavy machineguns are working like MG151's currently. Better enjoy while it lasts.
They nerfed SWE planes BR as hell, from 2.0 to 2.7 and they still feel OP just because of those guns
it is reasonably historical i've understood from other comments, so who knows ;)
While it lasts?
Thats just how firing 13.2 High explosive rounds at 1050RPM works my man!
The HE rounds make it effectively a 13.2mm cannon, the Rate of fire is on par with the .30cal ranges, and the round is (in AP form) larger than a 50.cal M2 gun which lets out 750RPM rather than the 1050 of the swedish gun.
The MG 151 has a similar ROF as the .50 at 750RPM, but the .50 matches it by using more guns.
The Swedish also use more guns, but larger rounds than a .50cal, and with bullets that effectively work like cannonshells!
The reason its not changing, is that's how effective that gun is/was!
The 13.2mm round is huge and 12.7mm round is too! And probably close in length in it's cartridge than an MGFF or MG151 shells, and certainly with a better velocity than a 20mm shell at least, although probably not as good ballistics as the .50cal!
In closing, the round at that RPM, with that many guns, just ticks every box!
I remember when this thing was 2.7...then gaijin did a fucky wuck and moved it to 4.0, ik it prolly shouldn't be at 2.7 but you'd think 3.3-3.7 should be sufficient enough
Agreed!
Is it me or does this plane from some angles look a lot like the American f6f hellcat?
I thought this was an export version of the F6F
Always warms my heart to see an I-180S "just gone"! :D
haha :)
You know it got nerfed all the way into the dirt. As in the Yak-2 KABB is a far superior plane to it now. I-180S was never fast. It had turn and climb and a ridiculously high five speed limit but low dive acceleration. It couldn't catch anything in a dive, or in level flight, but it had turn performance on par with a spitfire and similar climb performance as well as decent high altitude performance and energy retention. It is now nerfed to the point where it is outmatched by a Yak-7B or Yak-1 but it's at 3.0. that's actually pretty bad. I know it needed a nerf, but they made it actually useless since most planes in the Russian tree at lower BR are outright better in every way except high alt performance. It needs to be reduced in BR at least somewhat so that it can actually be a useful premium. Thing doesn't even outturn a P-40 which is sad for a light fighter like that. Oh and I should note that the flaps no longer make any difference in it's turn performance now, even though they are Fowler flaps. They do nothing, or if they do it's an absolutely imperceptible amount. The best type of flaps you could honestly have on an aircraft and they are now ineffective at doing anything to help it when at low speed. It's ridiculous. For those that slogged through the stupid friggin grind to get it, it now feels like it was a complete waste of time. I am one of those people that grinded my way to it. It feels like I've been cheated. It's like going through the entirety of a game show to win a Ferrari; you get it, are happy, and somewhere along the line they take out the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 and throw in a NA 305 from a clapped out 1980s Chevy Camaro, and replace it's wheels, tires, springs, and shocks with some crap off a 2005 Chevy Aveo and didn't bother saying anything or offering you a refund for part or all of its value if you don't like it. Something that was once fun to fly was now made not at all fun or even worth flying. They could have just nerfed it properly, lessen it's turn, reduce it's dive speed limit, and I guess reduce it's climb just a little bit, rather than go to the extreme and make it basically useless compared to everything at and below it's BR.
Can someone send me a link for sound mod
stage dive from silent partner.
Really unfortunate it’s at 4.0 now… I mean at its current br it’s guns are just as lethal as any other. And now it gets out turned by everything, outran by everything, outclimbed by everything, and lastly it’s guns are equivalent of the American 50 cals and German 20mms now making it on par with the others. Just an absolutely painful and awful plane to fly now.
I'm suffering in this plane as I type this
Lovely gaijin using a sledgehammer instead of a pencilbrush to adjust br's. They too often do that.
im getting my a handed to me in this one
Still true😂
And subbed
welcome aboard mate!
Don’t worry it’s at 3.3 now. And repair cost is terrible typical war thunder
Russia: Use your energy, use your brain.
Germany: Use your power, use your brain.
US: Use your speed, use your brain.
Sweden: Just fly ahead, turn, dive and shoot constantly, you will win even if you don't use your brain.
hehe, not quite, i shoot them down to regularly with other planes for this ;)
@@jengar6258 me too, I mastered Yak 3 and 3p and I pretty specialized on taking those trying to down boom and zoom me
good stuff! :)
@@jengar6258 Yep. Only things to improve now is real awareness and aiming, because at this moment I achieved to surpass the 109's deadly spiral climb! THEY DIE.
Second person to like. I love u
Cheers mate!
Lol and now its 3.7.... good luck with the speed now
J22B is good but it lacks climb
true, sideclimb it is.
Those 13.2 mm machine guns are better then 20 mm his(crit)panos.....
This plane has better firepower than a mustang with four 20mm-s..........
yep, their definitely good, ppl told me its historical though.
The Swedish machine guns are broken, they are better than 20mms.
i've had some answers here from ppl that told me its historical. Romanian pilots to flew with both calibers put german 151's 20 mm and these guns on par. i dont know if thats correct, but there you have it.
Hola amigos eu falo a lot of languages you can see here
indeed, not all i will understand though ;)
