This song came on the cassette player on the school bus in year 9 and I couldn't believe how much the girls loved it as much as the boys !! Must of been getting practice ! 1983 it was ..
OMG, haven't heard that one for decades. Year 11, 1984, Chillagoe west of Cairns in the sticks on Camp sleeping under stars with Nunchucks under my arm LOL. Someone brought a getto blaster and this was rolling over and over. Never forget it. The good old days.
I remember at school discos they would play this 4 times a night and the girls would yell suck at the right time and some probably had no idea what it meant back in 1979 when they were 12
back in around '84/85 when I was at Canterbury Boys High in Sydney we had a school radio (Just some kids playing songs over the PA) and someone thought it would be a good idea to play this! They got about a third of the way through the track before we heard the needle being dragged over the record. Suffice to say that was it for our school radio lol
Des Gamble- Mate i'm at some tavern in Brisbane and the Rads are playing i'm at the bar when Smash, some bloke smashes this guy in the face with a glass and a huge fight breaks out and i'm in the middle, then 2 bouncers grab me and through me out the door, so I never got to see them that night but i sure as hell heard them!.. I'm 48 now.
Worked in an electronic store, had an old ipod nano, deputy manager borrowed that to demonstrate some speakers. The first song on the play list was , Gimme Head by the Radiators, the lord mayors sister had no sense of humour. I laughed until I puked...
Figtree high cricket team out near Wollongong high,in 1983 when a certain Chris Peros had a boom box,and continued to play this song to all and sundry....a most excellent afternoon and we won too, ahhh memories..
man, I remember listening to this at my best friends place when I was 13, smoking bongs and thinking we were so fucking cool... lol memories. Thank you so much for the upload
What is utter madness is this playlist is TWO DIFFERENT Bands ? BUT ? I love this OTHER non New Orleans Radiators ! They are awesome ! cool fuck up ? or planned ;) that's what I think so Thank you
I knew that there was more than one reason that I never went to a Blue Light disco. I knew that I wouldn't have fun, and who wants the pigs around, preying.
if i play this at a venue i am going to get some do-gooder, feminist, or politically correct clown telling me i've stepped over the line?.... there's bound to be one of them.
Oh ya big wuss. Play what you wanna play. I am the biggest feminist in the world. The Radiators were never surpassed as a pub band. Ten deep at the bar, and not a shred of ugliness at the gig. Don't confuse women's rights with the muzzling of speech. As a woman I can tell you that bastards want to SHUT ME UP.
@@terriquinlan7683 lol.... biggest feminist?.... i've seen all sides of this song. from women requesting it then simulating sex acts on the dance floor, to other women who demand I stop the song immediately... and some women are just somewhere inbetween and that's about where you landed... big diff from a band playing their own song live vs playing a recording to a crowd somewhere. maybe you don't get out much?
@@AVportau If you had anyone demand that you stop the song, that is bloody sad to me. You gotta stick by your guns. That is rock'n'roll baby. If you are playing proper rock and giving it your best, then I have your back.

Let's revive this. The Radiators were bloody awesome.

Just the song you need at the wedding reception!!!
Funny but NO. You give me bj's is only for a gay wedding. Think Fess's song on You have the right to remain silent. "I like lying in bed with Fess"

Travis Head !
Travis has more hundreds in England than Joe Root has in Australia ... which shows that sometimes Head can be better than a Root
why isnt this Australia's national anthem?
@arloislit

Girl u want
And my comment is 70.
Too bad 69 is a great number
Girls prefer 77. They get 8 more.
