Vanderbilt’s time of possession was 42:08 to Alabama’s 17:52, if a team cannot control the ball then winning becomes exceptionally difficult. This was the most important stat in the game because Vandy scored 40 in 42 minutes, Alabama scored 35 in 17. If Alabama had five more minutes of possession and Vanderbilt had five less, the game wouldn’t have gone the way it did. Good job Pavia.
