- With the various requests I’ve received to cover the Rumiko Takahashi classic, Inuyasha, we felt it was finally time to give the anime its own list. In this video, we go over the best filler villains since it’s always fun to see what the anime writers add to make the search for the jewel shards and battle against Naraku even longer. Filler villains in this case only count as villains not seen in the manga. Sick Judgment Meter joins me in this video, too.

The Women who Love Sesshomaru was a memorable one for me, because the VHS tape I recorded it on glitched so all the voiced were high pitched.
The glitched voiced were more memorable than the specifics of the episode though.
Raisin d'elta I miss the days of VHS. My sister and I got our grandmother into Inuyasha and we’d watch that together. I remember one of the first things she said about it was “he’s got long fingernails for a boy.” “He’s a demon grandma.” “OH! Ok.” I actually REALLY liked the woman who loved Sesshomaru filler. One of the better filler in the anime (unlike the Naginata of Ken Kon/Hoshiyomi filler) and for that matter filler in anime in general.

@@darienschnucker7354 oh, not as a love interest. Just the story in general. That she was so crazy about him she sold her body and soul to demons a la Onigumo style desperation that turned him into Naraku.

Remember Onigumo was already worse than most Demons are before he becomes a hanyo.

I think the Panther King was weakens by the Tenseiga because he was only “alive” after absorbing other people’s souls since Tenseiga revives the dead. Though that does beg the question of why the 3 dead Panther people didn’t come back to life
Yes, they come back to life (Panther King dies exactly for this reason), in final minutes, like is also explained by Jaken.
Tensaga can slay the undead as well as revive the dead. So it makes sense that it would be deadly against someone who stole souls to bring himself back to life. Sword hurts him then the revival power takes the souls away and puts them back where they belong.
Well since Yashahime is now playing on Adult Swim's embrassing anime dub line up I m assuming you and Judgment Meter will be making another Top Ten count down related to Yashahime or Inuyasha, for the views and ad revenue

17:44 Pretty sure the point of this filler was, besides the studio mandate to spread things out, was to show how far the heroes had come.
The best fillers were IMHO the girl that loved Seshumaru and the Panther arc. Both were more complex villains and it felt more bittersweet.
Those were pretty meaty for anime-only stories.

don't know if he was a filler villian because I only read the first couple volume of the manga before my library stopped having it because it showed naked boobies but a character everyone is sleeping on, serioulsy *SLEEeeePING* ON. is the telepathic demon from the episode 43 Tetsaiga Breaks (i think) . I don't know that badguys name. He could read everybody's mind Kaguara, Kagome, Inuyasha, Sango... EVERYONE's mind . And he BROKE INUYASHA'S sword which means hes a really tough guy. I haven't seen the show in a while but I remember these episodes because after Kagura got introduced the show got REALLY exciting. a lot of those episodes were frustrating and anxeity fiilled to watch because they left on cliffhangers that made me want to watch the next episode. The telepathic demon basically defeats alll the main characters until Inuyasha unlockes a new transformation for him to kill the basterd.
and why did he only use Blades of blood like 3 times? It's the freaking coolest attack.

nope. he is part of the manga canon named Goshinki (if I remember it right lol) well, he used to be a part of Naraku so I think he prolly should really be useful than some of the filler youkai involved. I also agree, he was a tough opponent (tough enough that Sesshomaru even used his fangs to have Kaijinbo forge the Tokijin) since he can read minds and used it to his advantage to foresee the advancement of enemies & also their weaknesses. Too bad, when InuYasha gone mad in his demon form he couldn't used that ability as even InuYasha, in that form, couldn't even think straight himself and that made him unpredictable to Goshinki
And it;'s funny at 13:05 and at 13:06 when the Judgmental Girl says it's so cute because in the actual episode Kagome hates the whatever..... clones.... and then you used the screencap of Kagome from the episode.

They made a new series recently called Yashahime that involves Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters. And it’s canon to the original series. I can’t believe it’s still going after nearly 20 years. Inuyasha standing the test of time. Most anime’s were dead and buried in less than half that time.
The panther demon arc is a filler too?? It was totally epic! (agree w/ you in this list) many parties involved too
I was surprised something so detailed in the anime was not in the manga, but I have to give the anime writers credit that they managed to improve on the Inuyasha family backstory!

I have an idea that there should be an episode of Inuyasha wehen Kagome has to deal with her period in the fuedal area Japan and how haerd it is to be a 90s girl in Sengoku perido japan without all of the technology advances ments in mentrstation pads. THAT WOULD be a really hard challenge for Kagome. It COULd be an episode.

I had no idea the panther villains were filler! I loved those episodes but just makes me all the more want to read the mangas. I grew up on this anime so it is and will always be one of my favorites :3
I think you could Summon the villains in the movies, because I loved them, Menomaru was a bit like Hoshiyomi and Gatenmaru because he also has an army of arns, and also was another enemy of his father, and in the 3rd and 4rth movie all were enemies of inuyasha's father, but in the 2nd both Naraku and Kaguya were the main villains because they were also the same, a demon who absorbs other demons or even humans to become powerful.
I loved Kaguya! I was surprised she wasn't mentioned on here.

Japanese convenience store are NOT the equivilent of an American 7-11. Convenience stores in Japan sell a wide variety of quality food products and other fine itrems. They are not mere Kwik-E-Marts you will soon enough see. You would be superised what you would find Our standards of convience stores are so high that Even Japanese 7-11s are superior to the American ones.

The peach-tree yogai who tricked people into his miniature false paradise, then used them as fertilizer for the demonic peach tree. That one was memorable with some pretty good twists.
I like that episode because the tree means basically that peach man is a cannibal. ha ha ha he eats humans and turns them into fruits and then eats them ha ha ha and then he poops them out. Probably. cannibalism.
@@ericericapalmerloriloudthe6271 That's pretty weird reason for liking that episode but ok. In my understanding, the "peach man" is not human but some kind of fairy/yokai/demon too, though he might had been human at one point. I am not an expert on Shintoism.

Great list. I liked that horse entei. It had the name of the Pokémon entei but it looked like a ponyta-rapidash evolution. Plus they rode it like lu bu and guan yu rode red hare in the dynasty warriors series. Also How bout making a list about the band of seven in inuyasha like a top 10 episodes or something. That saga was very interesting. Keep up the great work.

I very like Gyu-Oh's monologue (I think that the italian dub of episode 95 was great, giving a sort of added value, so I don't know how is in English Dub or in original language. I saw many episodes in Japanese but still not that episode).
However I agree with almost all of your positions, and I'm happy there are people that talking of the anime original* episodes too.
Anime original (story) = official naming in Japan of episodes that aren't adapted from manga.

Neither me nor Judgment Meter were in that stream. I haven't been on Software Agents TV's channel since 2018, so it was probably someone else in the stream if you're referring to the one they did earlier this year. Maybe AT's brother Sam? This list was just for villains that were not in the manga. Since Yura was in the manga, we don't count her as "filler" as she was a part of the original story and not just used to extend the anime plotline. That being said, if we ever do one-off villains, she would definitely make that list!
think cause the panther king was only revived by the souls of others, while the tenseiga restores the souls of the deceased to their original forms, thus undoing the reanimation. Gotta be one of my fav filler arcs with demon cats vs dogs, while making clever use of the tenseiga in action, which served rare use in Sesshomaru's possession
You know you say Inuyasha funny. Inuyasha is a half demon kind of like how Alucard is half vampire. Is that a coincidence?

can you and Judgment meter stream new games together?
I had a suggestion for top 10 "corrupted" characters, but even I don't know what that would imply. I was thinking of just the characters that willingly let an evil influence take over them (i.e. Akuma, Bloody Marie, and Majin Vegeta).
But then I considered characters who were either brainwashed, mentally unstable, or just unwilling in some way or another (i.e. Richard (Tales of Graces), Maximillian (Anarchy Reigns), and Dreyfus (Seven Deadly Sins)). What do you think?
I thought the mask was a coronavirus joke but this video came out a year ago not 8-9 months.
I generally like to make my videos "timeless" by not referencing recent events, but that joke was unexpectedly more relevant this year, so I guess we were forward thinking when we did that bit (and she was actually sick when we recorded this)

Of the 4 videos she appeared in before this one, 3 of them had Inuyasha segments or references to Inuyasha when she spoke and the one that didn't had a Ranma segment, so she's been getting more screen time with Inuyasha references!

The Panther King needed souls to restore his powers, which is why he killed Shuuran, Karan and Shunran (I probably spelled their names wrong). Tenseiga is a blade that can resurrect lives so by using it on the Panther King, Sesshomaru released their souls and returned them to their bodies. Also, since Tenseiga can’t kill, that’s why Inuyasha had to finish the job
The reason Tenseiga worked against the Panther Leader is because he was an Undead. In RPG's like Final Fantasy the undead are weak against white magic or items AKA: Healing Spells and Potions etc. In FFVIII you can one-shot kill the Abadon in The Great Salt Lake by throwing a Phoenix Down at him. Hence, since Tenseiga can bring people back to life it counts as healing and thus weakened the Undead Panther.
I actually thought that Momiji and Botan were canon until I started the manga shortly later. Still think that their purpose made the anime better (same with the Ogre that fuses with Tsubaki) even the Inuyasha and Kagome clones brought the series to its comedic roots. Same thing with the panther demons and Bankotsu’s demonic energy Banryu, doesn’t happen in the manga but would have made it more interesting.
