Denise, first off, I want to thank you!!!! Not only have you been instrumental to my journey - your beginner wig series saved me! - you led me to Nel's Wigs and I will be forever grateful!!!! I love long styles because that's what always had, and I continue to be in awe of what Nellie offers. But it's sooooo much more. Nellie does video calls with her customers, she does beautiful customizations, and she truly, truly cares about what she does and brings us all such gorgeous and affordable crowns. She is a beautiful friend to all of us, and I hope she knows how much we all love her for not just the wigs but who she is as a person❤
Nellie, if you read these comments, which I hope you do, I just wanted you to know that I was so touched by what Denise revealed about how you try to keep your prices low while still caring about the working conditions of those actually making your wigs that I started to cry; they weren't tears of sadness but of gratitude that hearts like yours and Denise's exist in this sometimes not very nice world. ❤
I just shared this with her... what a wonderful wonderful thing to day. And I agree!! When she told me about that I was floored! Not many retailers would take such an expensive trip, both financial and time) to do that. She had to shut down her customizations for 2 weeks in order to do that, since she is the one who does those. She is one of the kindest souls I've ever met.... not sure how she can make it in the wig business as the emotions surrounding hair loss get the better of some of us at times, lol.
@heywigsister Thank you soooo much for sharing my comment with her as I really wanted her to know how kindness like hers (and yours!) makes a painful situation a bit more bearable. I've not been in a good place lately, but it gave a little flicker of hope to hear that she took that trip to make sure the workers were treated well. I hadn't thought of how emotionally taxing it can be for those like Nellie and you who are trying to help so many, so I said a special prayer asking that you all be blessed and given strength and courage. ❤
Thank you so much, Denise for bringing us such amazing videos that offer us so much information, tips and tricks! I am new to your channel, but I have been binge-watching SO MANY of your videos and one of the things that I love about them is your weight loss journey! You have come so far and look absolutely AMAZING! 🥰So pretty, but most importantly, I bet you FEEL amazing, both physically and mentally! Congratulations! 🥂🎊🎉 I am new to wigs, looking for the perfect one because when I was just 17, in 1990, I broke my neck diving into a swimming pool which left me in a wheelchair; paralyzed ever since and because of my disability I am unable to work so, I am so ecstatic that you made this video because I was only going to be able to buy one wig at first. After all, they are so expensive, especially when I want one that is long and 100% hand-tied. But, I am so overwhelmed with everything, especially when trying to find the most realistic wig, and especially, one that has the most beautiful blonde that is dimensional but, most importantly, cool! So my question is: how realistic is the part and the feel of the fiber? Thank you again, Stacie in the Youngstown, Ohio area. 💕
Denise, thank you so much for informing us about Nel's wigs. I contacted her after I watched your video. I loved the Kenya wig you wore. She was so sweet and helpful. I ordered Kenya from her, and she already shipped it. I am going to see it, try it on, and then send it back for customization. I am blown away by the beauty, affordable, and customization of her wigs. Thanks again for your great helpful video.
Wow Denise! You have outdone yourself, if that’s even possible. I have been following you since I started wearing wigs 15 months ago. Everything I’ve learned about wigs has been from you! I love your caring of others, thoughtfulness and your empathy! You inspire me in every way. Nel’s is a new one for me. I can’t wait to see what they have! I have purchased my first 2 budget-friendly human hair wigs due to your reviews and recommendations. I appreciate you so much for all that you do for us.
Denise, I have NEVER seen you look so beautiful! The hair color, style, y our make up! Honestly, I'm stunned. Gorgeous! Just a note, I see the edge of your lace, looks like there might be some makeup on it to make it more visible......Oh! I see, you just explained it!
Yes.... the one negative is that they lace doesn't lay flat on me without a strap, but I am going to make a video showing how I easily adhere it and make it disappear. Hugs!
I just found Nelswigs yesterday. I thought it was a scam because of the low pricing. Now, Denise, since you did this brief video introduction I definitely will support her business and recommend it to other wig wearers. Beautiful pieces for manageable prices. Thank you!!
You are so welcome! If you are on facebook you really should join her group, so many women share their wigs from her on there and it is a great way to learn more. Hugs!
Both of these styles are beautiful…so pretty on you😍 Nellie did an awesome job customizing Kenya!! She sounds like a wonderful lady. Being able to have synthetic wigs customized is so nice🤗 It’s almost impossible to find a salon that will cut wigs…at least where I live. Thank you for sharing Neil’s Wigs with us🙏🫶❤
I like Nellie’s wigs! There were a few misses but mostly hits. I just ordered one of her monofilaments to see the difference between a lace front at an affordable price. She’s the only one I’ve seen that has monofilaments that won’t break the bank. ❤
I know! And yes, not every wig is for everyone... some of them feel more budget than others. I am blown away by Kenya, the fibers feel so much like human hair, more than any other I've gotten from her.
I love Nel’s Wigs. Such great quality at an affordable price point. I wear long wigs, and have very little issues with Nel’s wigs tangling . I have high end wigs that tangle much easier then Nel’s does.
Both are so gorgeous on you. I’m a new wig wearer due to Covid, and just got screwed over by a major wig retailer. Just what I’m looking for. Thanks so much!
That Nelly that you are wearing looks like a $500 John Renau and it is gorgeous. I can’t believe the price. And that color. Gorgeous! I switched to Paula Young because the other namebrand ones have gone up in price so much that they are pretty much unaffordable now. So I’m glad I came across this video and I will definitely be checking out her site. Do you know if she has any wigs that offer permatease? I love the ease and fullness of styling with permatease because I like lift on the top. Thank you so much for all you do Denise. ❤
Thank you, Denise for sharing all of this wonderful information! I did join the Facebook group and have been scouring her website. I would like to talk to somebody though before I order a customized wig. If you could share the length that you did with the Kenya I would appreciate that :-)it’s absolutely adorable! Thank you again for sharing❤
You can message Nellie directly and she usually answers within 24 hours and also schedules consultation calls. She is super helpful and will always recommend what's best for her clients! You won't get dissapointed. Good luck
Can I get the exact customization of the first wig you were wearing? It is exactly what I have been looking for! This will be my first time purchasing and wearing a wig. I have lost my hair twice in 18 months from chemo and this last time of course is right before my sons wedding. I absolutely am not comfortable wearing a scarf or chemo cap for pictures and would love to give my business to this wonderful company. Thank you!
@@heywigsister I will do that! I could use a prayer, I fell off a step outside, face landing before anything else. I am so bruised up right now. Also broke five toes, and my whole body is so sore. It’s incredible. Thanks, Denise!
Yes, great answer! I will add that glasses are impacted more by where the sides fall on your... on a 13" lace frontal like this that doesn't have ear tabs it shouldn't be an issue.
I love Nellie, does it have permatease. I don't like permatease. I love the color and it looks like it would be cooler in the summer months. Tried of sweating g to the oldies in a hot wig in the summer
Hi Denise, I think that my questions were lost in my ridiculously long message a few weeks ago. LOL So, my question is: how realistic is the part and the feel of the fiber on her wigs ? Thank you again, Stacie in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
As someone who has both, I like Nel's better. The fibers stay softer longer, and they don't get so stiff and "crunchy" like belle tress. Since discovering Nel's Wigs, I haven't bought another Belle Tress.
Denise i would love to try the Kenya. The same length and style. Can u tell me it she made your wig with layers and is it heavily layered because that's one of the customizable questions. Also what length is yours because that would be perfect for me.
@@vickimoore1208 I'm actually not sure, I just told her to do what she thinks would look cute, lol. If I were you, I would measure from your crown down to where you want the hair to fall with a tape measure... then tell her what you want the longest layer to be, making sure to tell her that you measured that from the crown down just so she uses the same method of measurement. That would be better than knowing how long mine is anyway because unless ALL our measurements are exactly the same (not just head size, but shape, and also our measurements from the top of our head down to our shoulders), it could be either shorter or longer on you. I have a local friend who is about 9 inches shorter than me and has virtually no neck, and wigs that are just slightly below my chin go down to her shoulders, it is wild!
Denise, I checked out Nel's website and saw some wigs labeled "large cap" which I absolutely need. In your experience, are these really able to fit a head that measures 23.5" or even more with all my real hair scrunched underneath? IF so, I think I'll try one of her wigs. The cap on the one I'm considering does not look as airy or stretchy as most of the more expensive wigs like Gabor or Jean Renau. But as long as it's large enough, it should be okay for special occasion wearing. The one I'm considering does not look stretchy at all which has me a little worried. I hate returning things if they don't fit. Thanks for your advice in advance.
Denise I probably have 20 wigs that ibarley or never wore because it was wrong color . I’m to sick to sell them so iwanrpt to donate ? I’ve even thrown some out over the years. So this looks very inviting. Thankyou
I have a list of places that accept donated wigs... here is a link to it (look on the "Donations" tab): docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1L1yw1rj1jsGapwS6BQOWPkIUAInQcoMyLxgjtODjvDU/edit?usp=sharing
Kenya only comes in this color... and I actually didn't give her any instruction on how to cut it. What I would recommend is to take a soft tape measure, put the tip at the crown of your head and take the number right where you want the wig to fall... then you can tell her what length to cut it, making sure to let her know that you took the measurement from the crown of your head down.
You can choose the needed customization when you select the item. You can also leave more detailed instruction under comment box for better clarity. Nellie usually calls customers if she feels the customization instruction is not clear.

Do the fibers feel human
I think so!
You look cute in blonde like you’re wearing. I usually do not like the blonde wigs.
The only problem Ive come across is that they are to shinny thats any wig, si I wont buy them.
You can put dry shampoo in to take away the shine
