- This is my honest review of the Jackson Galaxy Fat Cat Backpack!

We were given this product for free, even so, this review is 100% honest! We have used this backpack for hiking, going out to eat, taking our cat to parties and more.
Overall, I think this backpack is very sturdy, secure, safe and comfortable and is a great choice for a cat backpack. Below are some of the pros and cons that I cover in the video.
PROS:
Sturdy frame
Double clip for safety
Short bungee leash attachment
Changeable screen/bubble
Back pads for comfort
Cute design
Side pockets
Chest strap for weight distribution
Breathable
Clip to keep top open
CONS:
Bubble sometimes pops out
Shoulder straps are wide for a small person
Backpack sometimes caves in

Great review! Addresses all of the questions I had while researching this product. One thing I would point out is the reason the straps are so wide is most likely to help with the distribution of weight. The thinner the strap, the more it's going to press into your skin, especially when you add weight like a cat or two.

I use a small cutting board underneath the original pad to make the bottom more sturdy

2:56 YES I absolutely love those types of backpacks because in case of your cat accidentally tries to open it you don't have to worry about them opening it up
Super helpful!! So glad I watched this before purchasing because those straps are SO wide! I’m small-framed too and this would be really irritating for me. And yikes (!!) the bubble should never pop off! Kinda scary. Thanks again for sharing this!! 😻
All the other reviews I found on this product really seemed lacking in substance and without a thoughtful eye to the pros and cons; your review helped me see that this backpack would probably be a good purchase for me! Thanks for the clarity and intelligent info!

Great video! I got one it’s coming in a few days. It’s a gift for his first birthday. Plus the poor guy broke his leg so he’s out of the cast and I promised him an adventure so I can’t wait!!! Thank you for such an informative video. It made me confident in my decision to purchase it.

it looks like the jackson galaxy bag has a few added things as compared to the original bag. I like that clip on the zippers! The original bag does not have that. I just got my bag in the mail 7/17/20 First impression from my kitten was not scared to sit in it.

Yes, so when you open it, they don't make a break for it. They also sell smaller versions if you want.
My two cats have always been afraid of car travel but the carrier I have for them is to large to carry by foot. Would you think it’d be viable to use the backpack to take them out to places like the vet a on other outside activities? (Trip to the vet is about 20-25 min walk)

Does the bubble and ring pop off or just the bubble pops out?
I just got my backback and am having trouble removing the screen to put the bubble on. The screen does rotate to the left but it doesn't unscrew...it just keeps rotating. Do others have this issue? Can you suggest something to help? Tx

No bubble problem here just screw it in tight enough. I have the original not the galaxy straps are very comfortable and chest strap across which I think you forgot to mention
My cat is 20 lb. I understand many ppl could fit 2 cats but with how heavy my cat is will this cat pack work? I really want it to work and I wanna order it today but when ppl keep saying there's floor sinking issues it makes me think the backpack must not be that durable.
Shoot at that weight you should get them their own pack to wear ❤
