Is this not just the developers that microsoft bought releasing their games the same as they always did but with a timed exclusive on xbox??

When Microsoft bought Rare that didn't stop them from releasing new GBA and DS games for Nintendo soon after. In the decades since, we've received two new Banjo-Kazooie games and Smash Bros content for Nintendo, while Xbox still only has Nuts & Bolts. Microsoft has always played the long game and knows what they're doing.

I'd love to have the Master Chief Collection on the next Nintendo Console. I say Next console because it wouldn't fit on a physical cartridge on Switch.

I actually think that the Xbox is still doing soo bad is because they force to expropriate the consumers. If I buy a game on my switch I own it, on XB you have the gamepass and you do not own anything. some people don't care but there are still many people who do care. I at least would buy A LOT less games if I wouldn't own them.
I also think the argument that "Sony ports to a Microsoft platform (pc)" is a bad one since Microsoft get some money from the windows licence and after that they see zero money from any sold third party software... it's very much not the same as Microsoft porting to Sony.
