This is my absolute dream. I live in the UK and have a 1993 1.1 Peugeot 205. My girlfriend lives out in SC and I’m hoping to move there in the next couple of year- of course I have to bring my 205 with me! I’ve had the car for years and I even learnt to drive in it so to take it with me and share a whole new adventure with it is just a lifelong ambition for me. Great video
I love this. I own a 1989 Peugeot 205 GR 1.4L. It's easier for me to find parts because I live in France, but it's always great to see other fellow owners around the world! Edit : If you wonder what GR means, it stands for "Grande Routière" which roughly translates to "Grand Roadster". It was made to drive along for hundres of kilometers without refueling 24/7 and was built to be as reliable as a 205 could be. Mine is equipped with the TU3A K1G engine. A 1.4L Aluminium bloc with classic cast pistons and rods, SOHC 8 valves with a single-body SOLEX carburettor. It currently has over 226 000km and one of the piston casing decided to pop out as I was trying to change the piston rings. I ordered a new engine that has 112 000km. Wish me luck!
Looking at the interior I’m assuming you have the 1.9 GTI? I had one with the same half leather and two tone cloth exactly like yours in the late 90’s while a student and the insurance was more thsn what I paid for the car. A truly beautiful car. I would so love to drive one again. How easy is it to get parts in the US, do you have to order from abroad or are there Pug dealers closer to home? You should should Doug Demuro so he can review it. London, UK.
@@Mandravison Not really. Both had their pros and cons. The Peugeot 205 GTI, the Renault R5 Turbo and Citroen Visa GT weren't really enemies. They were just the cool kids in the back of the bus. Not really up to hang out with eachother enless madness called for it!

Great car tipical US driver. Not using the indicator when changing lane just driving the way how the cows are peeing. That always pissed me off when i lived there.
Poor thing... You're probably an "always pissed-off" type of guy anyway. Seriously... do you even know that today is Christmas! You didn't get any gift? That's why? :)

Merci! :)

Excellent video 👍 I have a 1992 1.9 GTI. When people ask me what it's like to drive, I say imagine if you could get inside and pilot a fly... 😆
Yes, it's a good way to describe it... :)
So happy to see this
If you ever sell this please let me know. (I'm in NorCal)
And now I miss my 205 even more ...
It was a legendary street runner...
renault 5 tubrbo was her nemesis ;)

Fun car to drive I have 505
Do people ask you about it in the US?
A 205 in the US ? I can’t believe it, did you buy it in France ? Congrats anyway
It has never been SOLD in the US so it's most likely imported
Es-tu Français pour avoir gardé les plaques d'immatriculation ?
Tu dois avoir beaucoup de réactions de la part des gens quand t’il voit la voiture
