    Sterling was on his way to the Hall of Fame... I feel like he should be in. Incredible receiver.
    Shannon stated during his Hall of Fame induction ceremony that, "I am the only person in the Hall of Fame that can say I was the second best player in my own family."

    Widest shoulders I have ever seen on a receiver. Was in line with him at LaGuardia one evening. Nice guy in person. I remember thinking about some random 175 lb corner or safety (my size) lining up against this guy- ouch.

    Elway and Dan Reeves wasn’t stupid. Reeves went to South Carolina just like Sterling. So he probably was watching Shannon even at Savannah State. Elway knew how good Sterling was too, he had to have a side eye on Shannon.

    Whenever the game was over Shannon's mouth started talking. I remember many games where Elway would just kinda say a couple lines then they would go next to Shannon to get the real deal.
    The offensive line couldn't talk to the press or they would have to pay a "fine" for charity to be given out at the end of the season.
