- Wheeling in Pritchett Canyon near Moab Utah with the MountainYoats4x4 Club... Henry's built H1 eases through one of the harder trails in the Moab and surrounding areas.
Your analysis is spot on.
NICE!!. Happy wheelin.
That's it! H1 Alpha for ever!
No flex, I love it! Just a different way of offroading. Obviously, the best rock crawler will be a heavily modified buggy. Keep in mind that Hummer is nearly stock, most of these jeeps and toys in vids are axle swapped and running different motors or bobbed, or tube framed. Now, does that mean it's a jeep or toyota still?
@Mbalto thats because it has full independent suspension
Betcha his tierods, and pitman and idler were well worn!
Thats one bad hummer!!
Yeah, it is stock, but it costs 3 times more than any custom built Jeep/buggy. So i'd rather get a Jeep, get it modified and still have money left over. I love H1, but have only one problem with them - size. Good luck finding a parking space in NYC =)
no flex isnt always bad, jeeps seem to have too much flex, tipping over all the time, and they have to charge there obsticles, but the h1 is so stiff, that when you go up something, the whole body lifts, opening more clearance, and allowing you to crawl over, and take it slower, and safer
Impresionante!! espero tener algun dia un coche como ese xDxD
ya henrys a pretty crazy driver
wow i couldnt agree more, hummers cant even begin to compare to a jeep
lol! ya im glad im not alone in that thought.
Dude, he surely ment the H2+H3... Your right on the H1 Alpha wich is far better then the 2005
@forknuts An easier solution is a urban gorilla 4x4 HUMVEE body on a older suburban if you want the solid axle hummer h1 looking truck.
really? wow! who'd of guessed!
@Mbalto Dude you don't need flex with independent suspension.
like i said they were picked b/c they were better for dessert terain and hauling, but when it comes to hills, rock crawls, and articulating the jeeps got it beat. i have a jeep scrambler w/ 42"s and a cj7 thats bone stock, either one of them will beat a hummer you just get the test site.
yea but someperson933 us H1 owners have a saying "why drive around it, When you can just drive over it!!"
so did it make it to the top without using straps or a winch?
i'd like to see my neighbor try this in his h-3 niggah mobil!
Is that 40 tires and lifted suspension? That make h1 even more capable
when did i claim to have 2.ive driven plenty of them in my time in iraq.i own a hmmwv.and a jeep wrangler unlimited.
any time
@tmac1219 the only reason they stopped making the h1 in '06 is because they couldn't pass the 2007 emissions test and the reason that AM General stopped the production of the hummers in general is because they want to put all their focus on making the hmmv for the military. Not because jeeps are better. In my oppinion an h1 can absolutely kill a jeep giving the fact that the humvee and the jeep were made by the same company. Y do u think that company only makes humvees now? Cause humvees can ki
@tmack1219 Hummer & Jeep are awesome brands that's why the US Army used them for wars.....history proven. Maybe the next candidate could be the Escalade, jks =)) No need to debate guys.....just chill and enjoy the video.....
it can crawl yes
@tmac2619 so i agree with u.
is that an 04??
thanks, I would rather have less flex then too much
why would i want to, pay twice as much and cant go in half as many places doesnt sound fun to me.
?? That was nice
i seriously doubt it
no thats not true, hummers got in b/c they could hall more and did better in dessert combat, but when it comes to the woods, theyre wider, heavier, not to mention that independent suspension sux, any way you look at it they just about suk
Hmmm somebody should solid axle an H1!
all they are is 6000 pound tahoes and colorados.
@coolwave9119 you're right, I am. YT is a great place to troll. Google search his name. You'll find him all over the place posting stupid comments. Idiots rock. Yes, if my parents worked their whole life and spent 45k on a vehicle.. yes, they would be idiots. I could go on a really awesome vacation with that money. Or buy something more useful.
@zrvpvo8789 OK, I admit the "gay" part is immature. I appologize. I don't need to tow a 10,000LB trailer nor do I need to carry 2,000LB of cargo.
I guess in all reality, Jeeps today are more aimed to be civilized... Comparing it to a H1 isn't fair, since I don't think anyone in their right mind would use it as a daily driver. Have fun, happy wheeling, good day.
finally a real humer. am i the only one who is sick of them making it smaller with each new number? ex: original civilian hummer like this one, awesome. H2: smaller but still ok. H3: looks like a stupid mini SUV. i think the H10 will be a remote control car lol
yeah i know anybody can see that.but in case you havent noticed these "jeep" guys claim they can do this.well i challenge them DO IT STOCK.
This video is a joke! That thing has absolutely no flex at all. GG GM.
hahaha
@tmack1219 Sigh....I think you are more of a troll comparing to the other guy.......no hard feelings, just my opinion though
LMAO i just inherited a 2005 wrngler had it 2 weeks and its up for sale.the biggest POS ive ever taken off road.sad thing is i own 2 HMMWV's and they both tear the jeep a new ass.
@zrvpvo8789 Oh yea, so keeping four tires on the ground isn't important. I guess H1's are just invincible. "-The gas mileage I have found to be about 12MPG on the highway and about 10MPG elsewhere. "
Sorry, but my Jeep gets 19 around town and 24 on trips. Even if the Jeep needs to be heavily modified, it's x10 better looking, way more fun to drive, less gay, and still cost way less. Have fun wheeling a $130k vehicle. No thanks.
I am a jeep owner, well i dont hate H1, its the best rig ever, but i honestly can't afford it :D ..
the other H's are fakeass hummers.. H3 2 whatever
coz you cannot afford to have or to ride one,dude...
Wow, witness the extremly poor articulation. No articulation and suspension flex = no control and lack of tire contact with the trail. These trucks have a purpose for the ARMY, but offroading they simply get there asses handed to them by stock toyotas and Jeeps.
DO you guys even go off road? I think the marketing for these vehicles has exceeded their real world capability.
hummers suck dude, they cant go anywhere
sorry but hummers arent that great zero flex and there way to wide for most trails and all they are is a oversized tahoe....
any time
