2024 Oscars fashion: The best and worst dressed

Who were the best and worst dressed at the 2024 Oscars? We're taking a closer look at the red carpet fashion trends with The Wardrobe Consultant Hallie Abrams.
Abrams picked Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong'o, Issa Rae and Gabrielle Union among the best dressed at the Oscars.
The worst dressed? Abrams picked Emily Blunt and Erika Alexander on the not-so-best-dressed list.

I watched the morning infotainment shows and they were obviously told not to criticize anyone's dresses. All the ones I saw on TV were utterly horrible while the hosts gushed over them. Is this a new policy? I remember the good old days when the fashionistas really went after the hideous gowns.

Fruit loops and filet mignon was a playful, fun dress to me. I dislike the cut of too many of the dresses. Tapered so that you can barely walk. Yuck. How can you dance and move freely in such stilted fashion. Yucko to most of it.
