Great review! I have the same bike bro! Love the Low Rider ST - best riding Harley I’ve ever ridden! I’ve got 8 inch KW shield and I’m 5’10” with 30 inch inseam. The 8 inch KW was good for my height 🤙😎
I have a 2022 FXLRST, best Harley I have ever owned, came off of roadglide for this , and I love this motorcycle, get aftermarket windscreen and your set. I did progressive rap 465 on the rear, I am getting woods 22xe cam next week. My wife says my ST is mor comfortable than my 08 roadglide.
Enjoyed your review of the bike. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve owned a HD bike but the LRST is one that does appeal to me. Mainly for the lower weight than the Touring bikes. A couple things I’d give feedback on: - If you ride with a Full Face helmet, consider getting an in helmet solution from Sena or Cardo for listening to music - Trail braking should be done with front or front & rear brake. It sounded like maybe you’re only using the rear. Apologies if I misinterpreted that. - HD really should consider a full Brembo package on this bike IMO
I have both a Sena and Cardo, just sucks that I spent the money for the audio unit and it sucks. You are correct about the trail braking, but the rear brake had zero effect. Technically all newer Harleys have a line of Brembo, just lower end.
Very nice review. Smack on it. Great bike and I love it. Especially since I adde the Kraus Raptor pull back plate. A pitty that there are no words on the Saddlemen seat.
My Rockford Fosgate system glitches out at 85% and I’m having bad luck with the dealership service department. It states on the HD website that’s it’s meant to be played t all volumes
I had the Rockford system. I put an exhaust on my bike and it was pretty crappy. I ened up selling it for more then I payed when harley was back ordered. I ended up putting a cardo in my helmet much better value in my opinion
@ i finally got it sorted out yesterday. Just waiting to see if corporate will give the dealership the ok to exchange it. It’s not our phones, the system is crap
Lmao I did the same thing! Told my girl i was going for a test ride and went into debt that very same day. Came back home w a new bike. We were on the phone and she goes “oh look someone else has a Harley on our street. That could be your new riding buddy” I gave her crickets she did a double take and was like “I HOPE THATS NOT YOU!” 😂😂😂 she’s over it now 🤷♂️
Great review - you covered pretty much everything on the bike and would agree with the rating but might bump it up to a 9/10 (I would deduct 1 for the audio and rear brake). Its a fun bike, light, super quick and torquey, and great ride once you set it up for you. I agree with the rear brake. Because I'm 5'11" I changed my mid to forward controls and installed a Hertiage floorboard and pedal kit. The large rear brake pedal is similar to the one on my Ultra and that made a HUGE difference. I have a ton of leverage with the full sized brake pedal but i agree the rear brake is not as good as the touring model rear. I did the 6" Thrashin risers (2" pullback) and it made a huge difference in the riding position (kept the stock bars). I'm in the middle of changing the exhaust and I'm going to buy 2 advanblack hard bags which will be color matched and give me as much storage as I have on my '19 ultra for touring. I agree on the RF audio, its OK when you are riding at low speeds but 70 or higher you can't hear it. Mine doesnt cut out but for a RF product its pretty disappointing. The stock system on my Ultra is much better. Are you planning on changing the speakers inside the RF system? Would be great to see a video on that and also how much of a difference it made once you upgrade the unit. Thanks again! .
I have a 23 in Aus. Definitely agree I put a 128 build in mine. That coupled with brake upgrades it’s definitely changed the bike immensely. Being a bigger dude with a bit of weight I’m keen to upgrade rear suspension. The solo seat from saddleman 👌🏼and forward controls I’m 5ft 10 very comfy for me and my riding style
Thanks for this video. I am getting off my Kawasaki and back to a Harley because of my bad back and shoulder. I am 5'10". What bars and risers do you have? I saw you mentioned you have a bad shoulder, too. Also, I see you upgraded the front rotors; what are they? Thanks.
nice sled, sorry @the speaker issues. Need rear caliper solution for aggressive riders. I put GP on my front, rear stock, and ride north of 3ktorque braking
Is the Harley FXLRST worth the hype? Hell yeah! I already bought the LRS in 21 before the ST came out and I was kicking myself! It’s really difficult to not trade in my bike for the ST version. Especially since it has the 117 and mine has the 114.
I liked the look of this and would have bought one, but the digital slot instead of gauges was an absolute deal breaker. I can't believe they can sell a single one with that stupid thing. Not only that, but the Heritage for only a few bucks difference in cost, comes with an actual speedometer (and admittedly lousy, unreadable in daylight digital readouts below), foot boards, a back seat (what guy buying a bike doesn't want to be able to take a girl for a ride?), only a couple of pounds heavier, a 150 rear tire instead of a huge and more expensive 180, and a full front fender- the only one in the Harley line!- for when you get caught in the rain. No question which bike is the much better buy.
The rear tire is a more performance based than "hell yeah brother" Harley based. As far as the gauge goes, I agree. I put mine in a gauge pod, but you can also do a dual gauge conversion for not much money.
It sure is a nice-looking bike. With some saddlebags and a duffle bag strapped to a sissy bar, I'm sure it can be a fine tourer. I'm not sure I'd tour two-up though. For that, I'd want the Road Glide CVO, I think
Has anyone come up with a cheap solution for the rear brake Rode a lowrider s and same thing useless compared to my bagger brakes Surely some ebc pads or something similar would help a little unless the master cylinder and caliper is just useless
@@Lewismotorsports yeh i think as soon as i get mine i will change the pads immidiately and raise the pedal and that should be enough to keep me happy for a while at least
You can get the FXLRST brand new for just about $20K now in the Northeast. Beware and do NOT spend $24K+ for the thing. HD is drowning in motorcycles right now. MSRP is way too high to pay. Just sayin. There are even a few new '23 FXLRS's going for $17K now. It is a buyer's market for HD now. Don't be silly and pay MSRP.
My st has wobbled. Every st will wobble in the right condition. Not like a dyna maybe but it will wobble. If you go fast enough and lean enough, it will wobble because there’s such a big difference between the width of the rear and front tire that wobbling will happen. But not at the rear. It wobbles at the front.
Thank you for admitting the rear brake is garbage. I have test rode the LRST several times but cannot get past the rear brake, non-adjustable clutch @ brake levers, & lack of TFT display on $20k bike.
@@HogCityCycleWorks The brake issue is real. At first I thought it was me. Doesn't stop worth a dead toad. Engine is good, though. Not very comfy overall.

I want to go ride in Hi.
Ty so much. This is the best review I have seen to my style of riding. Waiting on a good used one maybe next year. God bless
They’re worth it.

I think mine has bad speakers. Or the amp it’s self.
What a great and honest review, just ordered break rotors for my FXLRST, bought it in January have put 7k on it and like you love the bike.
Why would you order broken rotors????
@mrpoizun sorry misspelled BRAKE ROTORS. 😆
Yeah, mine warped rather easy.

I agree.
I have a 24' ST. Cam and dyno'd and it freaking hammers.
I do agree, I need better breaks too!
Great review
I want to can mine soon.

Yeah, I’ve been looking at suspension for mine as well.
I thought it was just me w/ the rear brakes. I bought a thrashin adjustable brake linkage. It helps get more leverage.
I was about to pull the trigger on that for my next upgrade. I originally did the brake adjustment.
Thanks for this video. I am getting off my Kawasaki and back to a Harley because of my bad back and shoulder. I am 5'10". What bars and risers do you have? I saw you mentioned you have a bad shoulder, too. Also, I see you upgraded the front rotors; what are they? Thanks.
I was running Mymachinist 8" pull back risers with their gauge pod and Thrashin Supply high bend bars. The rotors were from TC Bros.
nice sled, sorry @the speaker issues. Need rear caliper solution for aggressive riders. I put GP on my front, rear stock, and ride north of 3ktorque braking
I was looking at doing Ohlins for my suspension. As far as the brakes go, I have seen a few options for rear calipers.
What lift is the bike on
It is from Red Line.

Depends on how much you owe vs trade in value. Or would it be cheaper to buy the Advan Black ST fairing and can your current bike.
@ yeah, I’m too attached to my bike now. I’ve had it 3+ years and I’ve done a lot to it. I got a good deal on it and I would hate to start over.
Thanks for the great review! I’m trading in my RGS soon!
Thank you. You’ll love it!
Great review I have one with 132 ++ very fast 153 to and 130 hp
Sounds like a fun bike!
Thanks, very instructive!
Thank you sir.
So 8133 run a bit bigger than heritage line? So you bought 9 instead of 9,5?
I'm not sure what you're asking.

This one has bags. I just don’t have them on.
What upgrades/mods did you do?
Currently- Exhaust, bars/risers, tires, floor boards, shifter and brake levers/linkage, seat, windscreen and saddle bags.
Has anyone come up with a cheap solution for the rear brake
Rode a lowrider s and same thing useless compared to my bagger brakes
Surely some ebc pads or something similar would help a little unless the master cylinder and caliper is just useless
There are some companies with better rear calipers. I did raise my rear pedal and that helped some.
I was thinking that same thing, the right pads can make a huge difference. Better pads better bite. It's a cheap try.
@@Lewismotorsports yeh i think as soon as i get mine i will change the pads immidiately and raise the pedal and that should be enough to keep me happy for a while at least
I love my 2024 XRLRST
They are nice.
@HogCityCycleWorks Best Harley Davidson I ever owned. I don't miss my GP Super Sport bikes anymore! Very happy with this heavyweight.
Tweeters are blown if it cutting out like that
Thats what I was thinking. I planned to replace them with better quality.
I got a 2003 dyna also wide glide and my lowrider brakes are much better than the Dyna
My rear brakes on my Lowrider ST were useless.

Yes. I notice in Australia they have dropped several thousand dollars of this motorcycle and other 2024 motorcycles.
Depends on the location. Always do your research.

That is does.

I put some 1finger levers on mine.
my stock rear tire made it 10,000 miles barley
I'm sure I could have pushed more miles out of it. But I get caught in the rain often and preferred not to risk it.
Wind buffering lol
?
@HogCityCycleWorks Tell me again how much wind buffERing you get 🤣
Harley’s warranties are such a joke it’s not even funny. I’ve had nothing but bad luck and experience with service departments
Not really. “Bumper to bumper” for 24 months. I’ve never had any issues with any of our local dealers.
