I visited Harlec Castle about 6 & a half years ago whilst cycling through Wales. T'is a lovely castle indeed; well worth a visit

Truly, a very well made historical presentation about Harlech Castle. I was brought up there in a home which had an undisturbed view of the castle from my bedroom window, particularly special when it was lit up at night during the winter. I thoroughly enjoyed my nostalgic viewing this morning. I would like to make one small observation though, a little more care needs to be taken by visiting presenters to pronounce Welsh words correctly. This is easily done, just speak to the locals beforehand and practice the pronunciation until it is perfect. Some might say that I am nit picking but Harlech is pronounced with a ‘ch’ at the end and not a ‘ck’. This is common occurrence to those of us who Speak Welsh and is the main reason why many Welsh place names have become misspelt permanently. For example, I live in an area of Cardiff that is generally pronounced and spelled as Lisvane, this is supposed to be Llysfaen and translates to Stone Court, named after the ruin on the hill behind us of one of the original Welsh Parliament buildings. Ask a Welsh speaker to pronounce this correct version to understand why we care about it. I feel well qualified to make this small but significant point, not only as a Welshman but also as an ex TV Broadcast employee of 35 years, 18 of which was as a cameraman. Note that I have not criticised the camerawork!

It's namazing to think that the water was once at the base of the castle. Good filming (loved the drone footage from above) and good research on the history of the castle. I have been past it many many times and even sat outside it but never been in - I should do it once at least. We have many castles down this way so I suppose when I venture to the north of the country I am looking for the mountains. Nice watch, thx. Atb Al.

Again! A very informative video. The main point I wish to make about all your video’s so far is, the fact that you include vital information about parking and other amenities that most people doing similar video’s forget to mention. This is a very important point to anyone needing to plan ahead of a visit to places like castles etc. Especially for disabled people wanting to visit. It is a good one, Wales has some of the best in Britain, Caernarfon Castle is excellent with alley ways in the walls themselves.
Oh wow! We haven't had the chance to head there, but Caernarfon sounds amazing! The welsh castles are magnificent all different in their own styles! Thanks for watching :)

Love British castles. I will definitely visit this one but my personal favourite so far has to be bamburgh castle. My least favourite being Beeston. Although i still love it ❤
Good choices there! We are yet to visit both, but it's on the never-ending list :P Bamburgh looks so stunning though. I have to say, Welsh Castles truly are masterpieces and they really make you feel like you're not just visiting ruins, but a proper castle, so many to discover aswell!! I know castles were built for protection and their had to be a worry about who would try to get into the castle. But all these years later they are such beautiful sites with amazing views!
