Why are these headphones half off on amazon but full price at the Sennheiser website? Are the ones you have linked to the old ones prior to the update? I'm just curious why a huge price difference.

Sennheiser will break your heart; I'm still recovering from hundreds of dropped connections. They should be a force to contend with, but the premium brands often phone it in with half measures that were fixed by other, non-premium brands years ago. We need more competition!
How to enable or disable transparent hearing mode during calls? Usually I end up taking too loud as I am not hearing my own voice. Is there any setting to adjust the ambient sound ?

Even with the latest firmware update (v1.6.2), I did notice the device constantly switching between audio inputs (i.e. while listening to youtube on PC , it would switch to audio from mobile notifications and switch back) . Was that the device behavior seen in your tests ? appreciate any help on that.
Can they firmware update a new spot for the power "button". I thought these sounded better and had a better Mic over the Sony XM4's but I couldn't get past the ear up turning them off every time I take them off for a moment.
So, how can I update my headphones? The iOS SmartControl app says that my iOS version is too late a version. My Android tablet is apparently too old to install the app. I installed the Windows updater app, and it does not see the headphone even though the system sees them as a sound device on USB. I must be missing something? Thanks!
Not enough information to determine that. Test your headphones with a different phone to find out whether it is the phone or the headphones which causes your problem. If it is the headphones, you can try to update the firmware to the latest version. If you have that already, you can try to do a factory reset. If that doesn't solve it, the headphones are broken and need a repair. If it is the phone, you can try several things before you replace your phone. Remove your headphones from the Bluetooth devices list and pair it again. Can't hurt to try this. Another thing to check is the version of AVRCP your phone is using. Some phones are set by default to use an older AVRCP version, like 1.4. Set it to 1.6. Reboot your phone. Remove your headphones from the Bluetooth devices list and pair it again. On Android phones, the AVRCP setting is in the Developer Settings menu. For me, this has solved connection issues with various newer Bluetooth headphones of different brands.
Hi. I have had these headphones for almost 4 years now but I can’t find a way to update their firmware. I changed phones 2 times (iPhone 13 and now iPhone 15) and still getting an error that says “Something went wrong”. Any ideas on how to update them?
I've had my pair for 3 years next month and just replaced my pads this week with replacement ones off Amazon for $12 and there just as good as the ones that came with it
guys anyone know how to solve the problem of using this Sennheiser with gaming? when i use it to play videogames and talk throught discord. The audio quality is really bad
One glaring problem as far as I'm concerned is that there is no 'normal' on-off switch. Sometimes I don't want to listen to them or put them away, so I'd wear them on my head so I can do whatever it is that I'm doing, hands free. With the spinny earcup on-off switch, this is pretty much impossible.
@Airmanareiks Thanks. Not sure what 'anc' is, but auto pause means the headphones are still on and therefore unnecessarily wasting battery. And while I'm at it, the voice is annoying and unnecessary. (And unlike the other voice I often hear, it doesn't reward me with flashing lights when I do what it tells me to). A short beep or a light would suffice to tell me it's on. As to which device is connected, also soooooo unnecessary! (Now that's off my chest). But apart from that, not bad headphones.
Can someone please help - my right ear is slightly louder than the left. (I have the last update and also tried to swipe the headset, but still the 'R' earcup is louder. Pxc 550-ii of course.
If you’re talking about the Bose NCH 700 then it depends. Bose offers better ANC & call quality - and if those matter to you then it might be worth it. If you do decide to buy them then feel free to use the affiliate links which don’t cost you anything extra and helps us out a little bit.
@@DHRME Was looking at Bose QC35ii which is currently at 20.5k while 550ii is available at 17.5k. Which is a better option in terms of sound - comfort - call quality - value for money. ANC, though preferred, is not critical. Another option was Jabra elite 85h but doesn't fit the low profile criteria. Wud u recommend bose or senn.
Just ordered today at ₹17.5k in india, wanted to go with WH-1000 MX4 but they are being sold at 25k, with 7.5k saving i can buy another Sennheiser headphones if needed 😎😎

For music, mastering and related purposes (at a certain level), I'd never buy ANC / wireless. Their main selling point is convenience.

i have PXC 2 and it have issue with connecting on calls... I have to always power off and power on to connect it to the call..... Any fix anyone ?

Wow i thought that was the case from the very beginning since i had the PXC 550 V1 and had no problem with multidevices
In theory it was the case for the PXC550ii but it didn’t work as designed until this update fixed it.
there are no earpad replacements available. Did not think this was the case. I would have bought Bose if I knew this. Go for Bose!!!!!!!!!

It's not the highest, that's for sure. If you're not in very noisy conditions and have no hearing loss, should be ok.
