So the Bose QC45’s are a decent pair of premium ANC headphones. However, their stand out characteristic is just their comfort. And for some people comfort is their main deciding factor… and I don’t blame them. However, the Sennheiser PXC 500 2’s are also a pair of very comfortable premium ANC headphones. Now I feel the PXC 550 2’s are due for an upgrade… but I think they can still hang.

You can use the USB cable on the Sennheiser for wired connection. Try it out and see the difference in sound between the 2.5 to 3.5mm audio cable
Can you charge and use it at the same time? You can’t with XM4
You can use the USB cable on pxc 550iis as an audio cable on a PC very well, for calls and music. Tried & tested

I started to think about PXC 550 II after I read a numerous reports from users that 1000XM3 (and 1000XM4) tend to break really often (in one specific place even when used with care, and sony doesn't accept it as warranty). I watched numerous videos about 1000XM3 and they are great with that better bass (in none of reviews no one talk about breaking problem that I read is pretty common) but I think I will buy PXC 550 II because I am worried that sony might break after few months or even a year of usage. If 1000XM3 were not breaking I would probably choose them such a shame (maybe someone of you had them and they broke like people on forums say?).
Your UA-cam channel is so underrated, this is a great video. How is the latency on the Sennheiser PXC 550 II headphones watching UA-cam, Netflix or Crunchyroll? (Any lag?) And is it easy to replace the pads on them?

Seriously they need to have the option to turn the ANC off. Worse than cabin pressure is wind noise isolation. It's horrible when you can't turn the ANC off or having it on a low mode like the QC 35 ii. I'm still waiting and hope to see a change for them. -.-
I loved the first gen of the pxc 550. Kind of sad that I gave them away. Part of me thinks I can get a better deal with a third version w/ USB type C and an ambient mode w/ a discounted < $200 price. But, I also got the galaxy buds pro which I am perfectly content with (except fit); obviously, there are no fit issues with over ears.
IDK . . . kind of don't want to spend the money when I got earbuds alredy . . . and I think Sennheiser might stop the PXC line as they keep having to put discounts on them. Not to mention that their consumer department got acquired lol.
I have tried the wired connection, a noticeable diference you can hear, from this point of view, maybe not a inconvenience
Yeah I second that . Through usb the pxc is awesome. But pxc has a pretty terrible multi device technology. Every notification from connected device makes beeping sounds on the PXC
which mobile device is best to use? Which device will generally give the best bluetooth sound quality?
The sennheiser momentum 4 is the one to wait for .. they would work well with music and movies . I wish the new design won’t have those wires sticking out

I gave my 550's to my Brother. They kept cutting out as if they were reading them off n om my head . At times they work for my Brother but he mostly uses them wired

Great review, I love bass but want good sound quality. Which would be the best pick between PXC 550 II and the Skullcandy Crusher EVO ? Both are now in my price range .

Find the ear cups to small on the pxc and pinched my fair size ears. Bose qc line always provided more room.

Which has better ANC earbuds 2 or QC45? I mean earbuds already have good passive isolation so maybe overall isolating better?
You can use the USB connection on the PXC 550 II as a wired connection.

Them pxcs are washed….good comfort but micro usb and sound hollow and volume is low…these super washed….xm3/4 Bose 700 35/45 and soundcore q30/35s all sound better

@@verynick nice, I had tried a pair of xm4’s at the store and I too found them to be way too bassy and muffled sounding. And I ordered them from eBay for $200!

Great review. Did you experience any issues with the transparency mode on the PXCs during calls/video calls? For some reason it gets activated every time I place a call. I can hear all the chatter around me and even people's keyboard typing. People on the other side hear the noise as well. I've really liked them otherwise.
Which one of them has less clamping force? Senns or Bose's?

You’re not wrong. They are better for music. But the momentum 3’s have the bass you’ll might want.
Funny enough I just bought my PXC550 today. Great headphones for music! Sounds clean and bass isn't bloated which I ike. I'm ok with all the cons on these.

Hello! I am thinking to buy them as well. Even though the bass isn't bloated as you say, is it still adequate? I am not a specifically bass-lover, but i'd still prefer an accurate bass to be there, you know.

If you want more bass just switch to the club setting. As for me I like the default sound. Sometimes when traveling I switch to club for more bass.
Honestly I'm looking forward to upgrading to these new sexy sennheiser's I hear a lot of UA-camrs whining about the USB whatever it's called sounds like a first world problem. Especially when you have a lot of those old-school cables just lying around and the cheapest s*** 2 if you need to buy new ones at the moment I'm using Sennheiser 4.50 special edition so they seem like a massive upgrade.
