I love the way Randy gives his brides a “blueprint”, I think that’s a neat way to help the bride when the stylist can’t be at the wedding to assist the bride on her big day.
When our daughter was married in 2014, her Dad wasn't there in person as he had passed away 6 years earlier. Since I made her dress, I was able to add a special 'patch' in the bodice...a heart shaped "Love Dad" patch made from one of his dress shirts. So Dad did walk our beautiful bride down the aisle on her special day!
That's absolutely amazing and so thoughtful. She had moms heart, blood, sweat and tears but had daddy with her as well 💕 best of both worlds. May he rest in peace 🙏🏽 ❤
I know that feeling as I lost my mom and dad so they will not be there if I ever get married. But they will be there in spirit so I am sure her dad will be there in spirit too.
I would have given ANYTHING to have something like that done when I got married because my dad passes 11 days before my wedding! That’s awesome you were able to give your daughter that!! ❤️🥰💕😍
Fun facts from the sister of the bride: - they cut out footage from a third dress that our mom responded to with “that dress is BAAAAD!” And her clip was used all season in all the promos!😂 - the amazing consultant in this episode, Meredith, gifted Tonie her veil! And years later Tonie (the bride) was her photographer for Meredith’s wedding!! - Tonie had a dress all picked out before this experience but Randy nailed it and did better than she could imagine. That “I just thought I’d have to settle” was real and exactly how she felt. She was so surprised and amazed! Shooting this show was so fun and interesting. The whole process was totally bizarre, amazing, and completely surreal. I will say even ten years later this crew was authentic and exactly who we are.
✨💖✨I absolutely love this bride. She might feel selfish for he first thought of, "what if my dad isn’t there to walk me down the isle”? My father passed away, while my mom and I were at the grocery store. As I was trying to give him CPR, and realizing that it was already too late, I told him, “I can’t let you go, Daddy. Who is going to walk me down the isle”? My dad didn’t make it. A few years later, when I got married, I had a church wedding because my dad would have wanted me to have one for my mom. I missed him, though in my heart I knew he was with me. It’s been over 40 years, and I still miss him and think of him every day.
I am so sorry, my dad passed away when I was 11. It's so hard to think about all the moments he missed out on even though he is with me in my heart. I know when I get married he will be there in spirit.

Don't worry you're not alone. My parents were addicts and my mother specifically a narcissist also. My mother died the day before my son's 8th bday 3yrs ago and my dad I guess is still alive but won't talk to me. Idk. I had to forcefully remove them from our lives for literally the sake of protecting my kids from them and for that I get backlash and hatred calling me a bad mother and cps called on me so I had to let them all go. They chose drugs and being hateful and harming my children. So ill never be able to get to be walked down the aisle or even have the support of my family by my side.
