It should be noted this is the original version of the MSR Access...let's call it the Access 2 v1.0. The newer Access 2 v2.0 now includes ventilation portals at both ends of the fly which increase flow through ventilation and address some of the condensation concerns folks had with the original version shown in this video.
@@HendrikMorkel Oh...sorry Hendrik. That was not intended as a "correction" to you!! It's a great video and a great review!! I just wanted to note that MSR has made an improvement to the rain fly to address some of the condensation critiques that were aimed at the original design. I don't know if their changes "eliminated" the issue but they surely improved it. Thanks for the great review!!
Dear Hendrik, could you explain please how to install and tighten those long 4 straps which are for additional stability. I have on them red metal peace of metal which look like banana and i dont understand how to use it. Br.
can the fly be pitched first and freestadind ?. Hear in Australia. we can get very wet seasons and we have places where its very hard to put pegs in and some places no pegging is permitted. So, is the tent versittil in that kind of inviroment ?. Gerard.
Hi Gerard, this tent probably can be pitched fly first, but not freestanding. Take a look at my MSR Advanced Pro 2 Video to see a 100% freestanding tent!
Hei Kayasper, a good choice for a place to watch Video! It’s not a problem to pitch it in the wind - if you check my channel you can find an old Video of me pitching it in the wind!
Looks like a great tent - quite similar to my WE Space 2 but has a full length cross pole. The one thing I wish these other manufacturers would do is use Sil/Sil material for the fly instead of Sil/PU as in warmer climates like here in Australia the breakdown of the PU is always what prematurely ends the life of the tent.

Hei Henrik , noen ide om hvordan få festet borrerlås på rainfly for og koble rainfly til stengene ?
Hei Audun, sadly I have no idea 😬 Sorry.

Dat ...was....a....good....re.............view.
I am watching your video while in my Hilleberg Unna tent. What can you say about pitching the MSR tent in heavy wind?

cool tent, it’s huge!
It is 😁🙌🏼
Whats it like in a strong wind? I live in the UK and its getting wilder over here year by year!
i know it's kinda off topic but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?

The PU inner treatment allows it to be add flame retardant.
sdnalyam is right, the PU makes it flame retardent - but then again, you don’t really want to have a 🔥 close to your Flysheet 🤣
What are the differences between the Access and Remote?
GOOD REVIEW THANKS! HOW HAS IT DONE IN BIG RAIN STORMS?? NO PROBLEMS?
How we can buy this tent?
