    And here my fellow human beings, we whitness the end of theatre: A fourth wall breaking, screaming technical demonstration of rigging, beamers and light mixed with sassyness and autotune while the audience drools over "Oh I know that gesture from the movie."
    Thanks for that. :)
    Why I am not saying anything about the performer singing the song? Because theres no performance..its just a machine repeating step by step gestures and mimic. I guess she can sing quite great?

      sadly, you are correct

    • @wisecrackingcat6329
      @wisecrackingcat6329 3 роки тому

      She is building an ice castle in nothingness. Where is the exctiment here? Where is the youth and spirit of her character? Here it is replaced with "Look..my coat flies..UUUH!"
      Here its only rigging, curtains up/down, some lights. She cant even move normally in those rigged, ugly quick-change dresses and the choreography, she has to be absent from half of the first act just to get in this mechanical dress thingy...and in the end she is on a wobbly stair and some one pulls her dress away what we all expect. Great.
      Screaming was not actually about what she as a singer is doing, but what she is forced to do. They changed the number to a lower key, but let her scream in the end with a completly unnecessary backing choir that makes actually no sense when you think about the situation this character is in at this moment of the story. But loud and high is of course always better. In the orignal the ending is calm..nearly arrogant and very on point. Here its just "Yeah its musical..scream it."
      And I am not a purist for the movie. Actually I was not even very much of a fan. Some musical numbers and visuals are neat but as role models both of the girls are..well..different subject.
      I could very much leave it as a "Well its fine. If you like it, enjoy..." But this overhyped garbage that tricks audiences to spend so much money makes me angry and I am very sad that people dont get, that they are just tricked with brands they know and some flashyness...no substance or actual talent.
      I am pretty sure this woman is a great actor! No critic about here. Her singing is good..it would be nice if she could use it in a more intelligent way.

    Of course the theatre that hosted this touring performance couldn't allow a trapdoor to be put in the floor for the quick change, so they had to build that gazebo-looking platform to put the trap door into and hide Elsa's dresser under. Makes perfect sense, but it was nice that it worked so well with the musical number. Good artists and technicians are adaptable, and these are some of the best!
