The tastiest fish to eat in Suriname is the anjoemara or wolf-fish. They are predators and feed on other fish, including piranhas. The problem is that there is so much kwik (mercury) in the rivers these days, because of illegal goldmining, that the fish are contaminated with dangerously high levels of mercury.

@@nivihere185 I did. It all said it's more risk to be eating or chewing fish bones than the actual benefits of consuming/chewing fish bones. Rather avoid it and get the calcium and vitamins from a different food source.
