This was the one I was waiting for! Congrats! Definitely a catch of a lifetime. Honestly the fight seemed more impressive then the wels catfish although don't think we saw anything near 300. The Amazon trips are definitely crazier. Everything you catch is fun.
The jau fight so much harder. I really wish my chest camera would have turned on. Then I would have really been able to share how powerful they are.
We all know the mighty Jau Catfish from River Monsters, but Jeremy Wade never caught one this big! I was hoping for a Pariaba catch but with the Redtail, 2 out of 3 isn't bad...
I don’t know about catching the catfish, but the fact u landed it, picked it up and released it all without knocking your beer over is commendable

Man that thing was an absolute monster, I couldn't imagine the power it had behind it pulling that kind of drag. Those fish are the kind of fish 99.8% of the people only dream of catching.
Seeing the fish yall caught last time plus those two, really makes me wonder the crazy things Paul has seen, I couldn't imagine the size of fish that man has seen.

To say it's a different world down there is an understatement. Paul wasn't too keen on landing that fish, which made me laugh. My understanding is that was the largest jau he's ever seen.
