I received s56 for additional health examination on 9 feb and It was updated on 20 feb. Today my health assessment status changed into EXAMINATION READY FOR ASSESSMENT. What does it means and when I will received my visa

A quick question - do we need to go back to Immi and update the status as medicals completed after the medical examination or does this change automatically once the medicals are submitted by Bupa to Home Affairs?
Thankyou!! Bupa submits it themselves..if you meet the health requirement.If not, you will receive intimation … Just FYI::this is what immi website states..
After your health examinations, the panel physician who examines you:
records the results, and
makes a recommendation to us about your health status
The panel physician will not tell you whether they think you meet the health requirement. The panel clinic submits the results and recommendation to us for assessment. You will either:
meet the health requirement, or
your case will be sent to a Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) for their opinion
The MOC might ask you to:
provide more information
have more health examinations
Hey, Could you let me know if it’s mandatory to have a prescription for glasses because I don’t have one with me and also, will scars on skin from prior disease be a issue or no?
You need specs or contact lenses,whatever you wear but i dont think you need any prescription separately. I am not sure about the scars bit .It might depend on the doctor .
Hi thanks for your information..I like to ask a doubt are they conducting any special eye test or general eye chart reading test by closing with hand by standing at certain distance or any dilated test..your reply is much appreciated..thanks
It was a general eye chart test for me and not any detailed eyetest.
What preparation we can do before going to health assessment? should we have to avoid eat or drink for 6 hours prior to health assessment? Please if anyone can guide
I didnt have any such instructions during my health exam.Did have some light breakfast before going on. In any case, you might get an email with instructions or can check with Bupa too.
Is it mandatory to undergo medical examination for onshore visa applicants too? For student visa
Yes...onshore visa applicants would also need a health exam.. probably in centres,in your current state itself ...All students do it before coming here!It's generally a visa condition!
when you take a x-ray and chest exam,did you change the clothes?
Yeah..They usually give a gown and ask a hospital gown and ask to undress

You should ideally book it as soon as you can ..
Can we do medical examination before visa application?
Not really! You might need a identifier(Hap Id) for health exams which is usually given once you make the application. They also mention the list of exams/tests you need to do.

Yes. If it's a student visa, it normally requires you to do a health exam in one of the centres in your current state...That's generally a visa condition!

Hi..I am sorry to hear that. It could be either because you didn't all do the tests ( for my visa there were three mentioned( general,x-ray,HIV) or they could have spotted some observation with your test results..Get in touch immediately with your HAPId to Bupa( or whichever health provider)...They will guide you or ask you to get in touch with immigration..
Ma'am can you please tell how much time we need at examination centre to get done all process.
And one more while booking appointment it's show availability on Saturday and Sunday but if i check on Google the centre shows closed on this days ,, should book appointment or not on this days

It might take a few hours depending on number of people .Mine took around 2, I think... If it shows the availability, it should be fine. Or if you want to be sure, call the centre and check...

For me, it was General reading of the standard test board

@@Nimsight I was done with my medical on 27 Jan and yesterday I rcv s56 req for medical again? I do my priv x ray and urine test and there is no problem in that. I am applied for student visa

Hi dear.. We applied for 482 visa .. Health. Ministry of Australia has uploaded health certificate for my daughter and myself but not for my husband.. Its been a week and the status shows still under assessment.. Is that normal? Any idea when can we expect our visa .. Thank you.. Hope you will reply..
Hi Ma'am..I am not that sure but since it's just been a week there's a possibility it may come through soon...So, you can wait for some more time and then check if there was any complication with any test.
