Could an ANA helpful for understanding potential underlying causes for what appears to be weight loss resistance? We are also looking a hs-CRP and a full thyroid panel (in addition to the standard blood tests).
Thank you for watching my videos! Please share them with others!
I have positive Ana a rash 3 years and just had biopsy. I have a hard time trusting doctors anymore. A million Doctors need 10 million patients. If we are well they are all unemployed.

You're right on that !
I have been told I have all symptoms of lupus but been told not to worry as I don't have the Ana in blood but doc continue to go on and on are you sure it not in the family my face has been a mess with possibly psoriasis for ten years now its getting worse instead of better 😢

I’m currently on a gluten free diet and doing a strict Anti-Candida diet. I noticed I haven’t had a flare up of my connective tissue disease in almost one month whereas before I was flaring up constantly and for weeks and months at a time! Should I temporarily go back to eating gluten which I think is the major culprit in addition to overgrowth of Candida and Aspergillosis. Gut permeability is very leaky. I want to get an ANA test done but can results be obscured if I’ve gotten myself into remission from my dietary changes? I’m thinking I should back to eating everything I was eating before when my flare ups where making me soooooo sick i could barely breath and get out of bed. Any suggestions??
Listen to my other videos about foods
My ANA was weakly positive years ago. I have mild psoriasis and possibly hashimotos (positive antibodies, but tsh still normal). But no doctor said that would be the cause of the ANA
yes a positive ANA can be seen in psoriasis and Hashimoto
My rheumatologist won't order a full thyroid panel, just the standard, even though I have a lot of the symptoms and a positive ANA. The picture of the shoulder is me right now. They just say it's tendinitis, but I keep getting it over and over for no known reason.

My shoulders are hurting so bad too! Positive ANA test. 8 months.
My Arthritis doctor put me on Hydroxy chloroquine 200 mg a day and finally some relief. I have to be very careful how I move and no side sleeping anymore. I hope this helps you
@@jeansinclair1266 I am not being treated with anything because they don't know why the ANA is positive yet.
@@1corinthians-138 see an endocrinologist or rheumatologist. You need more testing then just the ANA. I’m struggling with getting my dr to do more. I had to have myself tested for ANA and I gave her my positive report and asked if she wanted to follow up with testing and she is acting like I never had this test. I think bc I ordered it and paid for it myself.
@@1corinthians-138best wishes and prayers for diagnostics. It’s really an emotional struggle trying to get anyone to do more than hear me. They ignore me and yet they know it’s not normal. Like having a flashes of numbness when I move my eyes to the side 😢
Sending prayers
I would like to request an online consult. My daughter has a high ANA test. The Rheumotologist referred her back to her PCP due to elevated WBC. Her rheumotoid is negative and so is Lupus disease. What can we do next? Can I have her PCP test for parasites?
you are welcome to ask the consult on my website rheumatologistoncall.com/
I have a positive Ana 1:320. A low complement c4c and a positive Hla b27. ? I have not from neuropathy in my legs and my hands and arms.
I also have positive HLA-B27 & was told Hashimoto's & possible AS.
Do you have any informstion for sarcoidosis. Do you know if sarcoidosis could cause cornea trsnsplants due to kerecotonous, to reject simultaneously ?
Thank you for watching my channel! share with others to learn! I will post at some time
Good questions mine double in 6 months then I took serrapetase and the disease is almost gone. Also trying to eat carnivore
@@catistrolling7333I cannot get a direct answer from the two Opthomologist I see. In fact they both have differing ideas. I had full thickness grafts on both eyes. Right eye six repeat DMEKS and another full thickness on left almost 10 months ago.Right eye transplant started to reject around the same time I started having health issues and was treated conservatively with steriods until first DMEK. Finally diagnosed 3 years later as multi organ sarcoidosis. Taking Methotrexate and Humira. Methotrexate and Prednislone were doing very little. Last DMEK right eye 12 months ago. Just so frustrating, i assume there woukd not be a lot of patients with cornea transplants and sarcoidosis to warrant research.. Thank you for your reply.
Is it podsible to have ANA positive (1:640) and no sign of any diseases also reflected in many specific laboratory results ?
yes! look at my other video about ANA!
Thank you for watching my channel!
For me ANA positive and again in profile test SSB only positive. Can you please tell what are the things I have to control
Please consult a good quality rheumatologist
You are positive for Sjogren syndrome.
my test markers for inflamatory diseases are not elevated enough for the doc to diagnose sjogrens, and fibro even tho my ophthalmologist and dentist have mentioned sogrens and GCA. so, i feel not all blood tests for markers show inflamation.
Same here! It sucks
Same here and so nothing is done to help.
@@1corinthians-138 I feel your pain. 😢

Mam, I am suffering from severe light sensitivity in right eye, and got ANA positive, ophthalmologist didn't identified any problem but I have blurred vision...whom to consult please suggest
Rheumatologist and good quality ophthalmologist

Hi, I have various symptoms and was tested for Sjögrens. I tested positive for ANA but not the other antibodies had ultra sound came back normal. I do get a type of rash on my face and over nose and am sensitive to heat. I also struggle with Fatigue. Do you think it is worth getting some more tests done as I have many symptoms but no diagnosis.
you need to see a rheumatologist and decide further
@@rheumatologistoncall thankyou. I may need to get referred back as At the time I got discharged from the hospital. I am having new symptoms of joint pain in my fingers, foot and knee but its not there all the time. Also had an experience while outside in a shopping centre of headache, fatigue that came over me and was overwhelming Fatigue and felt unwell for 4hours after. I had to get a bus home. Thankyou very much for responding. Kind Regards
@@rheumatologistoncall can you recommend any specific types of blood tests to request to find anything out?
@@rheumatologistoncall I woke up this morning with pain in my knee that is gradually feeling worse. Could there be a connection with my other symptoms?
I wish you were my rheumatologist. My former rheumatologist just did a series of ANA tests which everything mostly come back normal, even though I’m having symptoms of severe dry eyes, which was verified by my ophthalmologist, which put me on restassis and dry mouth in the mornings so bad that I can barely swallow, muscle, and joint pain and stiffness, especially and my neck on my left side down my shoulder pins and needles in my hands, stomach issues and skin rashes that come and go, fatigue every day , yet still she insists not to go a step further 😢
Thank you for watching my channel!
I have the same symptoms and I came out negative test. What kills me is how do they know the next day you might have positive Results or next week. Maybe when i flare up is when you get a positive result of a blood test. I would like to be tested everyday and see the results every single day of a month or two.
Hey did u find any diagnosis?
If they say, IDK or gaslight you, or do nothing except tell you to schedule a follow up…IMHO move on and don’t waste your precious time. I’ve got a complicated case and as a result I had to see a few dozen doctors, definitely +20, before getting good doctors.
Unfortunately, the mediocre doctors wasted so much of my time (8 years of actively seeking help) and money (thousands $$) that by the time treatment began I was in debt , already wheelchair bound and I’m going blind. I have so much anger because the medical system is not patient centered and works against us, and slowed down my access to care or under diagnose and under treat. This made my outcome poor, the damage is done. I’m pissed.
I have a fantastic team of doctors now… but I won’t get back the faculties I’ve lost.
You deserve the best.
Best wishes.
@@KityKati that’s the case for me. Been sick for 2 years with multiple tests including negative ANA 3 times. Just last week my rheumatologist retested ANA and it’s now positive. Worried and relieved at same time. Now I wait to see if it’s Lupus or something else.
Do ALS or Cereberal Ataxia cause a positive ANA?
