Except Naru was also a creature of darkness, and yet was revived by the light of Nibel. So there might still be a chance for some of the lil owlies. Not sure about the whole race though...
Yeah...Ori's and Naru's bodies were largely intact when they were revived. The owling's race...there's not left but bones....

if you haven't played the first game i can understand why you dont feel that way, but to us its not just this scene in question that makes us feel the way we do, its our memories of the story of the first game and the emotions we felt playing it, the story, the music, the characters, the gameplay, artstyle, everything merging into a one in a life time masterpiece Ori and the blind forest is. when i saw this trailer on e3 recorded video. I cried tears infront of my parents out of happiness of there being a second game comming

Ori is totally my favorite game, despite that I mostly prefer FPS games in "realistic" setting. The game design is fantastic. The devs didn't just put their souls into this, their souls sang along to make this beautiful game. I hope they have good focus for the Wisps - it's only been two years.

Looking back at the trailer now after finishing this makes me cry. I was so hyped when it was announced and I saw it like and being able to play it now, it was just wonderful. Especially how much remained considering this was back in 2017 when their ideas could have been in flux

TBH. This game is the only one digital thing that ever made me cry. No other game, no movie, not even any song was as powerful as this game!
What magic does this studio have? I had tears streaming down my face multiple times during the first game and this trailer made me tear up again. I've been gaming for 25 years and this almost never happens. It's so rare that a game produces such powerful emotions. Can't wait for this.

The makers of this game are brilliant at pulling this off. There are moments in the first game that will make you cry every time you play.
I wonder what role the Wisps will play in this. In some legends they are the spirits of dead beings who lead other beings to their salvation or their doom.
You could say that it's up to their will.
Wisps in Ori first appeared in the Definitive Edition's One Life Mode to mark where you died. In the game, it says that when a spirit dies, they leave behind a "wisp." I assume that is what the title is referring to.

I don't think the spirits are dead. Ori revived them at the end of Blind Forest. Looking at the trailer and assuming that the final game will be related to it, it seems Kuro's species is the one that's dead.

I remembered when back in 2015 when I first got my Xbox One, Ori and the blind forest came bundled and I didn’t understand what the game was about or wasn’t interested… until I first started playing it, I fell in love with the story and with Ori and love the journey that he faced and the trial he had too endure. And the ending made me cry as well., and when I first saw the teaser live on E3, and heard the piano for the first time… something inside me broke and I remembered that feeling at the end of first game.. and it reminded me of why I fell in love with this game and with Ori.

Spirit of Nature usually its a bad idea to pre-order because you won't get the game any faster but if you have problems with getting it where you live then I say go for it...however that is only under extraordinary circumstances...remember, if you buy a bad game then you are supporting bad practices which hurt both the video game industry and consumers as a whole.

There's almost NO ONE producing beautiful, modern metroidvania type games these days. Ori is hands down my favorite game and it hurt to finish it knowing there was really nothing like it being made. Like literally no words for how exciting this is for me!!!!!! So excited for the story to continue ❤️

Did you play Hollow Knight, now that's a great one as well.
Hollow Knight is a good 2D platformer, but nowhere near as stunning as Ori.
Hollow Knight is much better than Ori imo. More fleshed out story, better combat, more precise platforming, gameplay length is longer (40-50 hours for an average 100% playthrough, 30-40 hours for just finishing the game).
Taren they are both good, HK has better gameplay and more content, but ori looks more stunning and still provides good enough gameplay along with beautiful soundtrack and story
To this day. Still the only trailer to have me start crying when that main theme part of the song started and i realized it was an Ori sequel. That was one good moment. Gonna have to play again.
