- Riley, A Newfoundland puppy from Canada has inspired Newfventures - Follow along as Riley grows, learns, and plays, with the laughs, struggles, and adventures along the way.
She's our best friend, the reason we wake up in the morning (she's likely kicking us out of bed!), and the biggest snuggly teddybear you'll ever see. We're looking forward to adding a brother to our newfpack soon!

I have a 14 month old Landseer Newfie. Ichinojo went from nothing to 165 lbs in a blink of an eye! He sheds everywhere and drools enough to fill a bathtub, but he's a lovable giant.
That's the most Canadian couple with the most Canadian breed ever lol 🇨🇦 such a cute puppy!!!
Most dogs are better people - than most people are. I adore the big teddy bear-breeds. Had a Saint Bernard. Amazing. I want a Newfie next. I'm preparing to be amazed again.

Could you please tell me if they are super hyper, and excited like boxers, terriers etc when they are under 2years old? My friends Shiba Inu is chill all the time and he's around 8mo now. Two other friends have Boston Terrier mixes and are basically Tasmanian Devils.

How can anyone dislike a puppy video, let alone one of a Newfie. Newfies are awesome. Once you have one as a family member you will never look at other dogs the same way again.
I have had the pleasure of many dogs but this past year I got my first Newfie. She will be 1 year old in a few weeks and she is an absolute joy. Loves to play and loves everybody in the family. I highly recommend them. She's my goofy newfie!

My Favorite Breed
Please please please anyone looking at getting a newfoundland look at the parents before the puppies...... MOST IMPORTANT... go to where you found the pup and see mum AND dad... where your best clothes if when you come away your happy to be covered in newfie SLIME great they're the dog for you. If you shudder away and hate it. Please don't get one. If you've a beautiful home with designer furniture and plush carpets please don't get one..... these dogs will give you untold unconditional love..... But they'll almost certainly trash your home. They're stubborn can destroy furniture esp if left and allowed to get bored.... these are super intelligent too.... if all the above is ok then put your money down and get yer pup...... cos you'll NEVER regret it... only one final warning thou..... be prepared to say goodbye to your old friend at about 10yrs of age.... sadly the bigger the dog the shorter the life.. and please BELIEVE ME when you lose them it will rip your heart in two. Just like losing a next of kin.... so enjoy everyday and if your dog makes it past 10yrs your really into bonus time... I think the world record is about 14...!!! Not long is it....

Our Samson is almost 11 years old. This is a very expensive breed of dog. Samson will not let us do his toenails or his ears. He always has yeast in his ears. Our monthly vet bill is $50-$100 for ears and nails only. Slobber, slobber and more slobber. Dirt, snow, water and everything comes in on their coat.Floors are never clean. Groomer... $129 is cheap. And if you are short, expect to trip and fall many,many times. I wish I had. A dollar for every time I went to step over him and he lifted something tripping me. I have been married to Samson’s Dad for 6 years. He has caused many fights. We can’t go on vacation. We can’t have company over with no barking. I raised Chihuahuas and this is no comparison. I have keen dislike to big dogs now. Never, never again. I have already told my husband I will divorce him if he thinks he needs another dog. And I AM SERIOUS AS A HEART ATTACK

How is your newf?!?!?! So thrilled for you!
He's doing well. All the puppy biting gets tiresome but from what I've seen it can take some newfies a while to get through that phase. Love it when he's tired cause then it's cuddle time. Getting him in the pool for some exercise currently, since it's over 100 right now in Texas and will be for the foreseeable forecast.

Can you upload your daily routine with a Newfie puppy please? I am going to get one in the next 15 months or so and I am preparing and buying things. It would be really helpful for a first time dog owner to see what others are doing with the same breed of dog.
Get a powerful vacuum. Trust me, don't go cheap. Also get lots of deshedding tools. For the first few months get the puppy bite proof stuff for the legs of chairs and anything and I do mean anything they can nom on.
Also, treats. Newfies are freaking smart. You can teach them the basics of a new trick in less than a few days. Mine learns them in about an hour, but won't do it unless you bribe her accordingly. Also be prepared to be around a lot. They are not loner style dogs and loooove to be around you

Lovely video but I picked up on that, simply because in the UK it is illegal not to secure your dog. And as for dog having head sticking out of window - I just would NEVER do this; why would you in case the dog is beheaded by a vehicle coming too close?

Good fun- enjoyed this video. One thing ( of course:) … I'm NOT a fan of letting a leash drag around. Too many times they get caught , and injuries can happen. My 4 Newfs, are trained- and often not on leashes- as they know the rules. All are street safe, and cannot take off unless "Daddy" says so... it's got me some dirty looks over the years- but they will never realize , it is for their safety. I have Yeti, Panda (landseer), Fezzik ( Princess Bride), and Balrog (black/brown (LOTR)). I also have 2 rescue's named Chunk ( 205lbs), and Glen ( don't know where that came from).
I hear you on the leash! we are/were worried, but Riley meets a lot of people in our house for our business & we needed a method to control her during training when needed. We're using a much smaller lead now or her handle harness. We've got a long way to go for Riley to be street safe though! love love love the names of your newfpack!!!

Real Newfoundlanders where only considered black and white in Newfoundland. But I really can't remember why? Anyways I like them all,but I prefer black myself. God bless
